Normally I will do my own oil changes
Normally I will do my own oil changes, but it was extremely cold, so I took my 2011 Ford Edge Sport to my local Valvoline Rapid Oil Change to have them do it. For some reason they used a vac system to suck out the oil from where I would fill the oil. This was a new process to me, and I asked what and why they were doing it that way and they said they do this to about 50% of vehicles that come in. I figured it was ok, so I went along with it. One day after, the oil pressure warning started coming on sporadically, so I took it back to have them check everything. Oil filter was good, oil level was good, etc. About a week later my vehicle started leaking oil. Enough where I was putting in about a quart a week. It was leaving puddles on my driveway. Needless to say, my vehicle is now with my mechanic and getting the oil pressure sensor replaced because that's where the leak is coming from. Of course, we all know how VROC is notorious for denying any claims that their techs did anything wrong so I'm putting this out there as a warning to anyone thinking about using VROC or at the very least allowing them to use the vac from the top method. Really, how could they know how much oil is in the drain pan after using the vac method? Did I pay to have the full amount of oil put in when there was probably a quart of old, used oil in the drain pan? My mechanic said they most likely over filled the oil and the oil pressure is what caused the sensor to leak.

Starting to run out of locations to go…
Starting to run out of locations to go to. Went to Coppell location for many years till I ran into two rude managers moved to Irving Valley Ranch location. Today I pulled up about five minutes passes that all the lanes to my right started filling up then after about 15 minutes they finished up a couple of oil changes and those cars that just got there pulled right on in and I’m sitting in the first lane and still not a soul come out to greet me. I noticed the other day when I drove by there, one of the managers I left the other store for must be there now so I decided to leave and I’m not sure why I gave it a chance today. Horrible management.

Went in for a routine oil change
Went in for a routine oil change, car was fine before. Few hours later—tire pressure light. Seriously? I go there to AVOID problems, not end up with new ones. Makes you wonder what else they screwed up. Unbelievable.

STAY AWAY!! THEY DAMAGE YOUR CAR AND THEN DENY YOUR CLAIM!
I took my car to the 1711 West League City Parkway, League City, TX location nine weeks ago for an oil change and ever since, my car has been leaking oil. I took it back the first time within two weeks and they had to add several liters of oil because it had lost so much. I've taken it back up there twice total and I had to file a claim to which the area manager, Cameron flat out lied and said that this was being taken care of and he had spoken to me. I had never heard his name until the customer service rep told me when I had to call because no one had reached out to me in over eight days after I filed the claim. I then find out 2/20/26 that the manager of the League City location, Billy, declined my claim saying my car was leaking when I took it in for the original oil change ~ so if that is the case, why did they agree to try to fix it twice after the original oil change? Because IT WAS NOT LEAKING PRIOR. I went up there on 2/20 to get my money back and when I left, I told Billy this would not be the end of this and I would be contacting the corporate office to which he replied "good luck with that". This place has to be held accountable when they cause damage to people's car during an oil change. I want my car fixed and I'm having to get my attorney involved which will cost Valvoline a whole lot more than fixing what they broke. The manager wasn't even there the second time I took my car back because he was at someone's house fixing their car!!!! They declined my claim clearly because they don't know how to fix what they did. Stay away from Valvoline altogether. Just getting your money back is an act of God and getting your car fixed is impossible.

DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR
DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR! I had the recommended rear differential change at around 30,000 miles. They left my car nearly empty of rear differential fluid. After just over a year, my car was undriveable with a breakdown of the bearings according to the service technician at my dealership. We were left with a $2000 bill and the Valvoline manager claiming no responsibility for what was clearly his technician's error.

Almost everything was just perfect
Almost everything was just perfect. I could go on and on about how well it went but I do want to point out what went wrong. I found out that whatever oil you purchase now, your next oil change is recommended in 3K miles (or 4 months). I got the same oil today that I've gotten in the past (full synthetic) and the recommendation then was 7,500 miles. Why the mislead? There's a lot of people who wouldn't catch this. I'm glad I caught it.

I used to use Valvoline for many many years. The past few years every time I went there was always goof ups made a big mess under my truck and most of the time never greased my chassis they told me we don't even own a grease gun how can you lubricate a chassis without a grease gun. After calling customer service they suggested that I find a new place to get oil changes

Spammers
These people are unethical spammers. I have asked them to stop on 3 occasions - they just keep sending more of their rubbish.

BAD, bad, bad
After calling (yesterday) to get a price, I went to the location today (9246 Goodman Rd, Olive Branch, MS 38654). They guided me inside and I ordered the $50.99 oil + filter change. To be told "it's not available", not telling me if it was the service, or the oil itself, or the filter? I then asked when it will be available... no answer. This is a scam they run to make you buy a more expensive service. UNACCEPTABLE

Ripped off
It usually costs me around $40 to get my oil changed. With a $20 coupon, VIOC cost me around $90. How does this happen? They just so happen to not ever have regular non-synthetic oil in stock. And they way overcharge for their synthetic.

I live in Westerville Ohio and have…
I live in Westerville Ohio and have gone through the Valvoline here twice. The first time seemed fine but I was in there a few weeks ago for an oil change and tire rotation. I paid nearly $200 and not only did they not put air in all of my tires but they couldn't even refill or top off the fluids. A week after I was in there my tire pressure light came on and then another couple weeks later I was out of windshield wiper fluid. The kids at this location do not care to take care of the customer. For as much money as I paid I deserve to get every service they offer that is included and what I am paying for. I will never go back there again.

Awesome Job ❤️
Went to change my oil yesterday at 833 North Valley Mills in Waco, which is the newly redone one , the crew was very helpful and answered my questions, even the manager there came and introduced himself to me and said if I had any questions . I really give this place a 10 and thumbs up to all the crew. I highly recommend you to check them out and see for yourself. I’ll be back 👍👍

I had a 50% off coupon
I had a 50% off coupon, so I thought I would try this new business in Wilbraham, MA. I also needed a headlight which they said they would fix. They took off my back windshield wiper and said they would replace it. Then almost everyone went home. They did not communicate with the other staff. They talked me into other services I needed and the manager said he would give me 20% off these services which totaled $169.98. One of the employees who was still working checked me out and I paid for the services. I asked him about the back windshield wiper which they removed from my car. He knew nothing about it. He put it back on because they did not carry a replacement. I left and had to go back because they did not reset my oil change light. I went home and discovered they had not changed my front light either. I had to go back and they could not fix the light problem because they said it was filled with muck. I said I wanted my 20% discount on the other services and they agreed, but could not give me the 50% coupon on my oil change because the coupon had been already used. They did give me 20% off the oil change. I should have received a $34.00 credit and only got $10.00 back. This was my first time going to Valvoline and my last. I would not recommend them to anyone. The manager there should have made this right.

This is the worst location (new…
This is the worst location (new Noblesville, IN location)! I used to take both of my cars to Valvoline for maintenance. However, I found out yesterday that they put the wrong oil in one of my cars (my car calls for ow-30 and they tried to put 5w-30 yesterday). Fortunately no work was done yesterday. However, the first time I went to this location, it was new and that was when they put ow-30 EURO, which is apparently not the same as ow-30 since it does not meet the specs! So beware when using this garage for anything! They will likely damage the second most expensive thing you will own! I can't believe we trust our cars to clowns! NEVER AGAIN will I use valvoline for anything. They cannot be trusted to perform basic maintenance. In fact, the manager yesterday told me that they have recd an email that they should not do these oil changes since they do not meet the specs!! So, it makes you wonder how many faulty oil changes these idiots have done to people! At least no work was done by incompetent people yesterday! I wouldn't trust them to do a tire rotation at this point! I almost trust jiffy lube over valvoline, and that is really bad since I wouldn't trust jiffy lube with an enemies vehicle!

Given inaccurate price
I have usually had good experience with Gresham Valvoline. But last time 2 things were upsetting. I brought my own synthetic motor oil (because otherwise I can't afford it), but was still charged $52 for the oil change. A technician told me it would cost "20-something" for a cabin air filter, but I was charged $48! I would not have had the filter changed at that price. I called Valvoline Customer Service about it & was told the local manager would call me back. He didn't. After a week, I called Customer Service again. Reading the notes, the representative told me that the manager indicated that the prices were correct, and nothing would be done. Probably won't go back there.

One star is to much today
One star is to much today. We are in Spokane Washington. I own a shop that caters to Veterans in Need and I serve them free of charge. I have a customer who I found her a Cadillac Escalade years ago and purchased it from a well known Cadillac dealership whom I know well. The vehicle had 40k. Now it has 194k. It has only had its oil changes at Valvoline. They tend to use impact tools to open and close the air filter and they stripped the bolts so over the years it has leaked dust into the intake and this dust slowly killed the engines compression. It came to me because it had a miss and Judy wanted to change the plugs. When I removed the intake ductwork and chunks of packed dust fell in the throttle body that was entirely caked. I sprayed out the ductwork to see what comes out and it was a nasty muck. The engine lost cyl 7 by 30 pounds compared to the others. The others are way below average of other of the same engines available forsale from recycling yards by 20-50 pounds. Hers are 150-177 and used with the comparable miles are 190-230. I sent a message to corporate who were more than happy to help Yet after I dealt Austin the manager at the last Valvoline Judy had her oil changed he said they would not fix because it had been low a few times when it has come in for it regular synthetic oil changed. He told me that after he a Pat discussed it they will not help in any way. Ya know when you pull in for an oil change it’s these kids that know nothing. Especially how to keep from stripping the fastener in an air box. If this was a Honda it would be steel bolt and steel incert in the air box and those tend to brake. But the caddy happens to be steel machine screw into plastic. Experienced technicians know when not to use an impact and removing bolts and nuts are one thing but reassembly is another. My son worked at Valvoline for years and that is why Judy only took her Caddy to Valvoline. He has not been there for many years but she continued to use their service, but no more. They do not seem to want to fix the damage they cause. Has anyone ever take apart an engine that has sucked in dust. It destroys the oil control rings as well as the rings. It is really bad that I have to write this but I am happy my son no longer works there. I will be calling corporate again. Then I will be pulling the engine. I will do a YouTube video segment of the tear down slamming Valvoline the entire time. Enough is enough. Taking advantage of Veterans needs to STOP!

Upcharge for unnecessary transmission fluid change
My adult son, who is autistic, took his 2022 Ford Escape in for a routine oil change at this Valvoline store. The vehicle only had 34,000 miles, yet he was convinced to approve a transmission fluid change — a service Ford recommends at 150,000 miles for this model. I showed them the official service manual that was in the car and they refused to budge. This felt like a clear case of upselling, and I’m disappointed that the staff didn’t take more care in explaining whether the service was truly necessary. Situations like this can be especially difficult for individuals who rely on clear guidance and trust professionals to act in good faith. The management and the tech who serviced my son refused to rectify this when I went back up to the store. I will never go to the store again and I recommend that others avoid it as well.

RUN AWAY FROM VALVOLINE!
RUN AWAY FROM VALVOLINE!! They deserve NEGATIVE stars. I went for a routine oil change last Saturday for my Audi Q5 which this location had done before. After paying $139.55 I drove about 100 yards down the road to a stop light at which point my engine shut off and would not restart. Immediately called Valvoline and Manager, Michael, came down to look at my car. He reported everything they had done looked fine. Shoved car off main road into parking lot. He tried to convince me it was my battery (even though my lights were on and they checked the battery during oil change). He attempted to jumpstart my car and that was not the issue. Said he would start a customer care claim in case it’s their fault and left. I had a tow truck take my car to repair shop where it was proven VALVOLINE neglected to put oil in my car after they drained it!! My motor is locked up and ruined. Not until Monday, did I hear from Lisa, area manager, through customer care line. She insisted she look at the car and try putting oil in it. Met her at repair shop to which she never once said hello, introduced herself, shook hands, or even express empathy for situation. Saw with her own eyes no oil is in the car and motor locked up. Says it has to be towed somewhere for a full diagnostic test and estimates to repair. I requested it go to Audi service department and she flat said no as if it’s her vehicle and not mine. Told her I wanted to know where she wanted to take it and who was going to tow it. Was never notified with that information prior to her moving forward with having it towed. I asked for a rental and was told no until she received a diagnostic test and estimate. They received an estimate Tuesday at 2 pm and passed it on to their insurance company. I’m still being refused a rental vehicle and have had to call off work for 3 consecutive days to date. Was told insurance company would contact me yesterday and they did not and have not to date. They refuse to provide me with insurance contact information or someone above Lisa at Valvoline. Lisa has been nothing but rude and constantly blowing smoke and finding reasons to drag this process out instead of doing everything she can to help me. Their NEGLEGENCE AND INCOMPETENCE ruined my Audi motor and I’m the one suffering the consequences. I have filed complaint with the State’s Attorney General Office and have also retained an attorney. This has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and the worst customer service experience of my life. It’s a mystery to me how Lisa ever became an area manager in a customer service company and Valvoline is PATHETIC and doesn’t own up to their mess ups nor do they even act like they give a d@mn. Please stay away from this business so this doesn’t happen to you!!!!!!

Stripped two of the lug studs on same wheel
Brought my Jeep in today for an oil change and tire rotation. Waited an hour before an employee came to me to say there was a problem with the tire rotation. He pointed at two of the wheels lug studs on the same wheel next to each other had been stripped and the lugs cannot go on and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. Then he said word for word (this happens all the time). I pointed back at all the metal shaving proving they were the ones that caused it. Then got charged in full for them breaking the vehicle. No offer to cover damage, no lift home and vehicle had to be left in a lot overnight until I can find a shop that can fix the vehicle. Pending small claims lawsuit soon to follow. Please don't let this happen to you. Stripping one of the wheel lug studs was bad enough but to then strip the one right next to it? Avoid at your own peril.
