On January 28th, I entered into a contract with Alex (attached is a screenshot of the email correspondence) and paid him CAD 4,500. According to the contract, he was obligated to complete the UI design for the desktop, backend, and mobile versions of the website by January 30th. However, he failed to meet this deadline. Despite this, I remained hopeful that his team would deliver by the next milestone. At this point, one of their staff members requested an additional CAD 2,000 under the pretext of covering "website content development costs." To maintain cooperation, I complied with the payment. Throughout the process, I repeatedly provided detailed explanations of our website's bonus and profit-sharing system, but they demonstrated a clear lack of understanding and technical capability to implement it. Nevertheless, they continued to falsely assure me they could deliver. Delays persisted until February 15th. Per the contract, the full website was due for delivery by February 21st, yet they only provided a non-functional demo link. After internal discussions, my team concluded this constitutes fraudulent behavior. Key red flags include: 1. The project timeline (one month) was unrealistically short for such a complex website.2. Their urgency in pressuring me to sign the contract and make payments.3. Deceptive tactics to extract additional funds beyond the agreed scope.4. Zero functional deliverables to date—even the two interface elements provided are unusable.In summary, I have received nothing of value despite paying CAD 6,500. All evidence suggests this is a systematic scam to defraud clients through upfront payments and incremental demands. Attached are all relevant documents and communication records for reference.
