Helping me to price my new book, Riverwood Adventures. He found me an illustrator called Victor Lunn Rockcliffe who has brought my book to life with amazing illustrations. If you think you cant write a book, you can with the right help
I am a normal working guy ,who started writing a few chapters for my friends on facebook ,and I thought hey why not get it published properly, I sent it away to writer cosmos to see what they thought , they loved it and said it had great potential , I had no confidence , and doubted my ability to write a book, people like me just don't write books,being honest , i did not have a clue how to start. Brian Wilson my publisher ,(just saying that sounds great!!) reassured me all through my journey , there were times I felt I had bit off more than i could chew, But Brian, kept telling me not to stress , and let the experts sort things . When ever I was struggling I contacted him and he always got back to me, although he must have had lots of authors to sort out I always felt I was important to him. I'm pleased i went ahead with it

I had a dispute with these guys, but someone higher up the ladder made it right and treated me fairly. My advice to all independent authors is to know what you need for your book. Listen to all the youtubes on book marketing you can find, then chart your course and be sure the publisher you pick, has a business model that matches what you need.Good luck and good writing.

Brian Wilson and Paul Smith were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain each step in detail, which was invaluable for me as a first-time author. I learned so much from both of them!One area for improvement would be providing a clear outline of costs upfront. It would have been helpful to know about additional expenses—such as copyright and legal requirements—at the very beginning, perhaps as part of the initial questionnaire. Discovering these later in the process was a bit challenging.That said, Brian and Paul went above and beyond to support me. They reassured me with numerous phone calls and emails and eased my mind on many occasions. I was nervous, but Paul especially offered consistent reassurance that kept me moving forward. Their guidance made a big difference in my journey.

While there were a few initial challenges, such as missed meetings and limited follow-up in, these issues were quickly resolved once the manager, Janet, became involved. Janet was exemplary in her communication—she kept me well-informed, responded promptly to emails, and consistently maintained a professional approach.The illustrations were an area that required some refinement. The initial drafts did not fully meet expectations and appeared somewhat below standard; however, once I provided clearer examples and shared my vision, the illustrator was able to adapt effectively and ultimately delivered work that aligned much more closely with my goals.The project was later managed by Brian, who also provided excellent customer service. He was efficient, responsive, and ensured that any questions I had were addressed in a timely manner.
