Owner is condescending. Thought I would share this response I got for my Google review because I complained about my main risotto although everything else was okay. My friends enjoyed their food, but everyone is entitled to their opinion which they clearly didn't like. Look at owners other comments on mediocre reviews and you will find a pattern."Hi, it is not my usual thing to respond to reviews, but in this case I want to do so. At your table you had one seafood risotto, one mushroom risotto (yours was mushroom). Now the risottos were cooked in the same way and with the same timing. As the waiter told you, the risotto was cooked 'al dente' because that is how risotto is eaten in Italy! If you like porridge, I'm sorry but we don't serve it, then all the more reason why your complain is insignificant, the other person who had the seafood one, didn't complain, so I guess it wasn't so hard that it couldn't be eaten! Since as you yourself said it was a personal taste, we asked you if you wanted it more cooked, you said no, we asked you if you wanted something else, you said no.Now explain to me why I should not charge you for a dish that was good, just because your fine palate says it was uncooked!If you had given me constructive criticism and maybe there really was something wrong, I would have removed it!I'm sorry but try to educate yourself on italian food culture, before being a great food critic by writing meaningless reviews, because you really come across as pathetic!Kind regardsAmalfi"

An amazing Italian restaurant. The food is just so good and portion sizes are large. The atmosphere here is wonderful. Definitely our favourite restaurant in the area.

My best ever Italian restaurant with mussels to die for!
I was overwhelmed with their extremely generous portion of Impepata di cozze starter. A warm white soup of mussels (60), cooked in a rich sauce of black pepper, lemon, garlic and parsley I,m hooked and have chosen this each time I visit and will again tomorrow. My wife had Zuppa di Mare Calda warm soup full of fresh sea food (with mussels), including, tomato sauce, parsley and garlic. Our friend had Antipasto All'Italiana a selection of olives, cheese, parma ham and mix of salami These generous starters on a lovely warm sunny day, served promply outside was a wonderful introduction to this very special Waterside Restaurant. Specially as I finished my wife's portion of mussels Our second visit again mussels for me. My wife choose Tagliatelle Mare e Monti - Flat pasta, with sea food, mushrooms, cream and tomato sauceOur friend chose Peposo alla Fiorentina Diced beef, slow cooked, in a chianti wine and black peppercorn sauce. Served with polenta Complety enchanted by the cuisine a third visit, again mussells for me, I'm dieting. For my wife Risotto alla Pescatora. A classic seafood risotto including a medley of the freshest selection of fish from the sea. Totally and generously delicious! With a doggy bay for her unfinished portion. Our friend chose Pizza Napoli - Tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, anchovies, olives, capers and oregano Our fourth visit tomorrow, I truly love their mussels they are addictive and the Staff are friendly and informative about their cooking. Going that extra mile we found them beyond our reproach. Savaltore is the Chef and Inspector Montalbano would be speechless :-) Jessica and her sister provide a staff service second to none and I hope my review is second to none. For the first time ever a true gourmet experience, as I always have a taste of the other servings. I hope one day I will try the other mouth watering delights on the menu ******
