Avoid - you really can do better elsewhere!
I bought a Nissan Note from Barlow Motors and from early on it developed a serious fault. On long journeys, the stop-start warning light begins flashing and the car loses all power. That is not an inconvenience. That is dangerous.I took the vehicle back to them specifically for this issue. Their own invoice states: “Investigate stop start error on the dash and replaced oxygen sensor.” The fault was not resolved. After that, they ignored every email, every phone call, and even an official recorded letter giving them 14 days to respond. Complete silence. They sold me a vehicle that cannot be safely driven on long trips, refused to properly repair it within the warranty period, and then completely ignored all correspondence.Avoid.

Come here instead of my usual Seat garage and learnt my lesson.Start of November my rear sensors stopped working, a week after having my MOT done. My usual garage couldn’t book me in until the new year so thought I would try here instead. Called 14th November got the vehicle booked in. My car has extended warranty on so knew it wouldn’t cost me anything to get the work done.Turned up for the appointment, dropped my vehicle off. Didn’t even have my car two hours and received a call to tell me that they won’t cover my car because it’s been impacted and this voids the warranty. Funny that! Also news to me that my car has been involved in some sort of collision. My car is used only by me, is driven from my home address to my work address and is constantly on CCTV. When I questioned it the garage they told me that the diagnostics they used specifically tells them it’s been impacted. I work in the motor industry, I’ve already had this car plugged into diagnostics prior, I knew what the code said and knew this was a blatant lie from this company. When I questioned if they could be wrong they told me point blank no. Interesting. So I asked them to tell me the date and time this so called collision happened, when did the diagnostic code appear to tell them it had been impacted? They told me 18th November around 16:30.Now as I mentioned before my car is constantly on CCTV. So I pulled the date and time and there it is, my car sat there looking pretty in the work car park. Not a collision or impact in sight. Told them this, they still would not have it.I’m also impressed with myself that I have managed to predict a ‘impact’ 4 days in the future. I reported the issue the 14th but had an impacted collision on the 18th, unsure how I’m supposed to predict this 4 days in advance but hey I guess I must be a wizard.Anyways - despite multiple attempts of trying to show/tell them this is a mistake their side they still wouldn’t have it. Decided to call my original garage. They weren’t impressed said to bring it in straight away.Fast forward to today - my original garage has looked at the car. Told me at no point does it state the cars being impacted on the diagnostics. No sign of any damage at all. It went through to warranty, warranty agreed and I now have new sensors for a lovely cost of £0.Personally feel like this garage we’re trying to con me out of nearly £500 for the work and couldn’t admit they were wrong when I offered to produce evidence. The only bonus is I’m clearly a wizard - still awaiting my hogwarts letter but that’ll probably show up the same time as an apology from these lot I reckon.

Excellent service
I would certainly recommend Barlow Motors Crewe. The professional service from James Wilshaw and Robert Eardley ensured a smooth transition from one lease hire to another. With no sales pressure James listened to what I liked and didn't like before suggesting the Elroq - a car I hadn't thought of. An inspired suggestion and one which I am entirely happy with. All paperwork clearly explained with a pick up time and date suitable for me. Attentive and professional throughout - thank you. Would highly recommend.

Pleased and happy.
When i entered the showroom i could see what a proffesional but friendly service they delivered, i was approached by James who asked if i wanted any help, i told him about the car i was interested in, he suggested a test drive, i immediately fell in love with the car but did not commit myself and told him i would go home and think about it, he rang me the next day and we settled on an agreement. i did not feel pressurised at any time and would thoroughly recommend this motor group.

Do not touch with a barge pole
Do not touch with a barge pole! Especially if you’re a young woman!Terrible customer service. Empty promises and going back on their word. If you do buy a car from them, go through everything with a fine-toothed comb and double check!!I feel I was pressured into buying a PCP when I wanted a HP and didn’t fully understand what I was taking on and it wasn’t explained to me properly. As a young woman I feel i was taken advantage of. I was told after 2 and a half years I’d be offered a new car and, I could settle the balloon payment or this car could be given back and that would be that. However I’m now being told this is not the case (I accept that I shouldn’t have been so naive to trust them and should have done my own research)They sweetened the deal to get me to buy by promising rubber mats for the floors and boot and a dog guard, but once we went to go sign they proclaimed that they’d never promised those things and had said they were available at an extra cost, luckily for me I’d kept a previous quote stating they’d been offered as part of the deal so they couldn’t go back on it! But of course they made me wait weeks to get them. Not only that. When I found a lovely garage willing to help me get out of this trap, I find out this garage have messed up the service history saying my car had over 300,000 miles (it has just over 50,000) and apparently it’s going to take 4-5 days to change a number?!

Outrageous
Avoid at ALL costs. They are beyond a joke, they have absolutely no idea about their own cars and will sell you cars that do NOT work. We got a 2025 Kodiaq from their branch in Stoke in May. Since then, the car has had nothing but problems that they have no idea how to fix. Within two weeks of having the car, the car broke down with a hybrid system issue, our local Skoda had no idea how to fix it and were just guessing the entire time. It then broke down 3 times with the exact same issue, during which time we had a towbar fitted. Now we are rejecting the car, they are trying to say the towbar caused the issue, even though it broke down TWICE before the towbar was fitted with the SAME issue. I have all the dates below, to show everyone how ridiculous it is and how Barlow Skoda will scam you 10th May - Got the car23rd May - Broke down with a hybrid system issue. Towed to Marshall Nottingham, they had no idea what the issue was and did a system update29th May - Got the car back9th June - Broke again with the exact same issue. They diagnosed it as a battery issue and replaced the battery under warranty.11th June - Got the car back14th June - Same fault came up but drove after restarting 21st June - Towbar fitted 24th June - Broke down again with the exact same issue, same warning as before the towbar was fitted. Again went back to Skoda Leicester, this time they said it was a software issue, but they needed to wait for the update it needed. The update was then done on the car1st July - Got the car back 4th July - Car broke down with the exact same issue, same warning light.8th July - Went back to Barlow Skoda Stoke29th July - Spoke to Stoke Skoda who said it was a software issue which they were going to run an update 30th July - Got a notification from the Skoda app confirming the hybrid issue was still happening

I had my car in for service a couple of weeks ago and was very happy with the service I recived and would highly recommend them. While I sitting in the service reception I had the displeasure of listening to a salesman called Lee, who in my opinion is 1 of the worst ever salesman I have ever had the displeasure in encountering, having spent 15 years within the motortrade as both a salesman and management, he had the worst ever customer skills I have ever witnessed. In my opinion he needs to re start his training from the beginning. I have came to my conclusion via myself witnessing his attempt at a closing and negotiating a sale with a married couple. He spent more time walking backwards and forwards to the managers office and at no point did I see any interaction with the wife and once the customer had agreed a deal he only shook the husbands hand and completely blanked the wife. But saying this I would buy a car from Wolverhampton Cupra but completely avoid Lee.

New Fabia!
In early June my Wife and I were searching for a new Fabia, however, it had to be in her chosen colour of Phoenix Orange, which narrowed the field somewhat as to the amount of available cars meeting our spec. Barlow Motors Skoda in Stoke had the exact car advertised online, however, on the day we contacted them it was going through to be sold. However, Max stated he would search for another. Later that day, Max rang back to say he had sourced the exact same car, however, it was currently in the process of shipping to the UK. Max assured us that we could get the car quite quickly and we agreed a price. 5 weeks later and we picked the car up! The entire financial process was done online (lots of signatures required from Skoda but quite a smooth process) and we travelled from Northumberland to collect the car from Stoke on 11th July! The price of the car was "exceptionally" competitive against other dealers and we were regularly kept updated on the status of our order from arriving in UK to delivery at the dealer for collection. Most importantly the car was immaculately presented and sat in the showroom for our collection (even though we arrived a few hours prior to agreed collection time) where we were warmly greeted by Max, Michael and the team. On the 4hr trip back up north the car not only met but exceeded our expectations and we were again contacted by Max to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Hope not to be buying another new Skoda for sometime, but Skoda Stoke will certainly be our 1st call. Thanks to the team, excellent deal and service to match!

Check before you buy
Recently bought an ex demo Scala which is a lovely motor and received good service from the team. After 2 weeks I washed the car and realised there was a lot of black tyre wall paint on the alloys which I washed off and that’s when I spotted it….2 of the alloys are badly marked. I took photos and posted them to the dealer who’s reaction was it was my fault and they could do nothing. Interestingly there is not one scuff mark on the newly painted tyres that would suggest I had done it.I was told the alloys had already had repair work done and when I asked the Sales Manager Dave Clarke to send my photos to his alloy man for comment he refused point blank. He has ignored all my communication to try and resolve this problem amicably and this is penny pinching at its worst. I’m certainly not giving up on this

Three mens failure to help DISABLED MAN
I made enquiries online Skoda and was contacted by Johnnie from Skoda Barlow Newcastle under Lyme and I said I wished to discuss Skoda estate vehicle said he was very busy but would ring me, no call.Following week rang Johnnie off sick forget 2nd salesman name but again promised to ring back no call, next day asked to speak Sales Manager not available but 3rd salesman Maxine said leave it with him sent me video link for 3 suitable vehicles with a view e to bring blue vehicle to my home next day because I'm disabled one leg, waited for call again nothing so rang and spoke to James Sales Manager to complain about his incompetent staff who replied he didn't get many complaints see others on Trust Pilot and wasn't particularly interested,so if you need to buy Skoda try Derby or Chesterfield or anywhere thanBARLOW SKODA

I rang the Barlow Crewe Skoda…
I rang the Barlow Crewe Skoda dealership to buy a new Skoda and ask about price, I spoke to James. A total waste of my time, he would not answer a question on price, just misdirected me all the time and then was so abrupt when I said I don't seem to be getting any further forward. Not good customer relations which I fear would reflect on any future interaction if I had bought a car. There are many good Skoda dealers further afield with really helpful sales staff and customers have a choice, I have now made that choice.I posted same review today under barlowmotors.co.uk on Trustpilot, it is the same company .

Dealer Principle - no support
Sold me a second hand car and it broke down 12 months later having taking 24 months extended warranty. The Dealer principle did not want to help support me whatsoever - 73 years old customer. No after sales support. Service were extremely unhelpful. It was basically go away.

I was quoted £150.00 just to investigate a Sat Nav data issue.Ended up doing it myself by wiping the sink card and updating off the Skoda website. Cost me nothing, how can these dealers charge so much." Comments we only have two diagnostic computers" it took approx 30 minutes from start to finish. Let the buyer beware

Fabulous Service
As a regular customer of Barlow Motors Crewe, I popped in to see if any deals were on regards upgrading on PCP. Anthony and Manager Dave went above and beyond, as usual, and we pick up 2 new cars in a few weeks. Always happy with this dealership.

Ordered a new Scala in August at Barlows Crewe. Had to be made so 6/8 weeks eventually ready 6 Dec went to pick up and was virtually ignored for 40 min When did finally leave after complaining to manager time had been 2.5 hours at showroom. Was asked not to fill in customer survey if not giving 5 stars. Asked about my £500 refundable deposit and was told 7/10 days After 4 emails and Skoda finance intervention paid to me 7 January. Poor customer service avoid

Excellent service from James @ Stoke
Excellent service from James at the Stoke showroom, the first car we looked at wasn't exactly what we were looking for in relation to size. James found us a Skoda Kodiaq, although a bit above our budget, James and his manager came back with a reasonable price on PCP and a good trade in for our high mileage, 61 plate Yeti. Very good communication, no hard sell whatsoever, easy handover and we are very pleased with our 21 plate Kodiaq.

Tremendous service from James who's professional knowledge and level of service gave me confidence in their aftercare should any questions arise in future,I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the dealership and neither would my family members who were with me at time of sale/handover
