Bikram Yoga SE Portland
I am an active male whom had contracted Lyme disease in 2013 during a lengthy hiking trip in the Grand Canyon. Consequently, my flexibility was severely affected. I joined Bikram Yoga SE Portland in 2015 and by doing so, my life has wonderfully changed. The postures are basic, although challenging. The teachers whom I consider family are loving, caring individuals - to name a few Isabel, Leah, Julie, Roxanne, Will and Megan have helped me integrate yoga practice into my busy professional life. By lengthening the exhalation of breath, I am able to get my often draining fight-or flight instincts in a mode of peace, rest and recovery - increasing my overall health, awareness and flexibility. I am better prepared for daily challenging conditions by learning each posture message - whether it be discomfort or a door that has opened to new beginnings. My yoga practice has allowed me to be an active person, playing tennis, biking, hiking and anything else that I wish to do - freedom now to live my like with confidence. Charles D. Wickens “CW”
