The scooter never started due to a technical issue.But in was charged all the same.Beware.

My bird stopped working in the middle…

My bird stopped working in the middle of the road and almost killed me. I had to jump through hoops to get to customer service and I had to charge it onto multiple different accounts to try and get it to work.

The worst experience

The worst experience. Riders stop working randomly and you cannot park even when you are in the parking zone. Then you get this explanation of "yeah it's your GPS or data" but dude no, not that. Then they "refund" but just put back an amount on your balance THAT YOU CANNOT USE FOR FUTURE PASSES, only rides.. Which of course they don't tell you. Don't do it. It seems an interesting thing but no. Also the customer service seems nice first but then just hides behind stupid general conditions. Never again. Oh and I will take your scooters down, watch me.

Overcharged and quit working

Rented 3 scooters and 2 kept going off and on. It made the whole experience horrible. Then they overcharged me $20.

Continuously a PAIN…

Continuously stopping when passing parking areas. Loss of signal. Poorly maintained, very poorly. Pushed mine more than used.

Total rip off. The scooter shut down for most of my ride and kept charging. Piece of crap - stay away.

Scooters are very poorly maintained

Scooters are very poorly maintained. No brakes, often stop for no reason. One third of rides have issues and one out of ten you walk. In Switzerland.

Truly awful experience

This is an American company that in my opinion has opaque pricing due to a bewilderingly complex pricing policy - the rides are also expensive when compared to the other two locally providers here in Torrevieja, Spain My advice, would be to find another provider. I took my first ride (the QR scan didn't work & I had to put the code in manually, then approve an up front payment despite having registered my card - why?), and ended up with a scooter that had a throttle that stopped working. The scooter alarmed for no reason mid journey and eventually I had to park the it because it just stopped working. I left it parked with the alarm going off. A huge disadvantage for me is that you have to park in designated parking spaces - tough if they are some distance from your destination. I could not end my 1 kilometre ride and was charged €8.50. When I queried this, I was told by customer service this was for "unused time" which didn't make any sense and was never explained. I then asked if there was an invoice I could access and quite bizarrely, was told that this was available providing I put in my tax details (address tax code) despite the fact that my card was being charged - presumably a US practice and effectively an unnecessary data trawling exercise. An invoice was actually sent by email later. It has to be pointed out that was offered a €6.50 refund to my card for not being able to end the ride which I accepted - in effect that offset the the €8.50 ride charge meaning a net charge of €1.75 which seemed fair. When the payments came into my bank account I closed my Bird account opened a week earlier. A bizarre experience for my only ride on a Bird scooter - that, the apparently high cost of rides and the hassle of finding parking spaces rather than just park and go, decided that Bird scooters are not for me despite decent customer service.

This is the worst application ever

This is the worst application ever! I just got multiple charges for a bike ride which took at the most 90 minutes and yet the email with the charges points out to 134 minutes. I have also received an additional charge of 20 euros which I’m not sure what it is for. Never again will be using bird and will make sure to tell everyone I know coming to Portugal

I end up with a bleeding face and leg !!!

Because of a whole in the street I had felt! Busted my leg and face ! I will never ever use this scooter again! I’m glad no car was around it could been very dangerous! 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Just had an awful experience

Just had an awful experience. I have used 15+ different of these kind of apps, and yesterday while on a bird bicycle in barcelona it wouldn't let me park anywhere, it said I was not on a bicycle parking spot. I recorded my screen and desperately tried to reach support but impossible to contact with them, their ai bot just asking me to repharse the issue. I had to leave the bicycle as I had a meeting wondering what would happen. they charged me 15 euros before it auto locked, and then offered me 5 euros credit. Their support kept sending the same canned answer that if I already got the 5 euro credit I should go and check it under xyz tab, basically, we charged you a lot and we dont care.

Give the bird the bird!

Tried to park the bird scooter in 5 different "approved" parking spots. Bird refused to allow me to end the ride. Bird SUCKS!

Rip-Off

App is ridiculously buggy and pricing is confusing and expensive. Paid US45 to walk it half a mile because it would not allow me to end the ride and was malfunctioning constantly. Try reporting an issue - good luck. Issues with reporting issues - app doesn’t allow most functions it purports to have. Total ripoff and support is non-existant. Beware of this enterprise and resent scooters from a reputable dealer.

One star is far too many

One star is far too many! My daughter and I used them occasionally in Feurteventura we would’ve been cheaper using taxis and safer, I have complained about the cost but no response! My advice:- get a taxi or walk!!!
