Super short break
Super short break. Capstone was perfect for our needs (4 bedrooms, min 2 bathrooms. For 4 of us!) and very comfortable and luxurious. Very well equipped kitchen (there was even a zester!) including a bread knife, which is so rare in rental properties. In mid November we didn’t expect to use the outside furniture or even the conservatory and the lounge was enough for us all to spread out. The location is perfect - close to sea, shops and supermarkets and the off-road parking for two cars was great. Good amount of printed information and guest books available in the property. We liaised with Dorset Cottages before and after our trip and Karen was helpful and efficient.

Honeysuckle Cottage is absolutely…
Honeysuckle Cottage is absolutely delightful! We had a wonderful week’s stay. The cottage is beautifully presented and pretty much everything is catered for. The flexibility of space with the annexe worked really well for us. The beds were super comfy and it was incredibly peaceful. Loved The Scott’s Arms too!

What a joke…..
Dealing with this company was one of the worst experiences I’ve had booking a holiday.. They are disorganised and they lie about anything and everything - you will be gaslight during the awful process.. This is not a business with any integrity, it is a complete joke. Do not waste your time or money

Great Experience…
We had a really lovely time staying at Valley View In Swanage. It was a beautiful old villa on the outside and a really modern and stylish house on the inside. Although there was a slight issue with the heating over the weekend, Kate and Michael from Dorset Cottage Holidays sorted it quickly for us, even though it was late Saturday afternoon- thank you.

Total lack of Confidence in the Staff…
Total lack of Confidence in the Staff repeatedly asked for the Deposit which was paid on time of booking !! Once could be a mistake, twice is incompetence in my mind, surely they should be efficient enough to tally the bookings with payments. After consideration because this was booked for a Special Family Occasion, decided to Cancel too avoid Disappointment on this Special Event, only to wait Near on 4 Weeks for Partial deposit back, and that didn't go without Hiccups!!

The best holiday cottage lettings…
The best holiday cottage lettings business I have used. Clearly very well-run, chooses it's cottages carefully and really understands what its customers want. I have stayed in two of their cottages (Wareham and Swanage) and returned to the Swanage one for another two weeks stay this month.The website is well-designed, easy to find what you are looking for. Communication is excellent and queries dealt with promptly. Such great service ensures a stress-free holiday!

Terrible company
One star in my opinion is a star to many ! I booked Brontë Cottage in wareham with Dorset Cottage Holidays, this morning I checked my emails the day I’m due to travel ! To find I have an email to say that damage hade been caused to the main sewage pipe by a builder next door and it was inhabitable! Only one option as an alternative however that owner was holding out for a 7 night stay not the 3 as I requested? So my weekend ruined the day of travel! Good job I checked my emails otherwise I would have travelled without knowledge no phone call to make me aware! I then get an email to say my refund would take 10 to 15 days, When checking their website for a complaint procedure I noticed that the previous day they had advertised the same cottage as a last minute cancellation? But guess what the price had gone from £874 to £1193 ? Amazing more money for the privilege of a house that’s inhabitable to the smell of 💩! I will give them due they did after having no alternative say I could stay there and put up with the smell? For the same price! I was looking forward to just having a relaxing break from life in the past year I’ve lost my husband suddenly and unexpectedly moved home twice I just needed my luck to change ! Unfortunately it’s left me feeling so empty and depressed so thanks DCH no compassion what so ever ! Will never give you time of day again.
