Very Poor Service
First thing is that they send you a quote having visited the propery. They won't give you a date until you pay them, in full. The fitter then went out, he is a subcontractor of theirs, and finds that they have not incluided levelling the floors or taking a bit off the doors. More delays while they send you a quote and extract more money up front. To br fair the fitter did a lovelly job but he was not an emplyee. In summary they had my money for 2 months and gave me a great deal of inconvenience.

Paid nearly £5,000 for carpets from Edinburgh Carpet Warehouse. Within months they were bobbling and showing visible wear, even in low-traffic rooms. Raised a complaint but was fobbed off – told to trim the carpet with scissors(!). An “independent” inspector (appointed by the manufacturer) conveniently found no fault, so the company washed their hands of it.Poor quality product, worse customer service. Avoid.

Very poor service and no compensation
I agreed a 3 day job to fit a new kitchen floor. The company made mistake upon mistake and the job ended up taking 5 weeks. I had to repeatedly chase the manager for an apology and I requested compensation for all the disruption and delays which greatly impacted my life. The manager completely refused to pay any compensation at all even though I pointed out that they had broken the Consumer Act 2015. They agreed they had let me down and the mistakes were their fault but they refused to make this right with even a goodwill gesture.

I recently received a delivery from this company (salamander street branch) only to find that my laminate flooring packages were all covered with bird droppings. I am furious and this is clearly a matter for health and safety to be addressed. Absolutely disgusting!!!. Warning shop there at you own risk. 1/5 ratings and that’s generous.

Zero Customer Service. They hire Sub Contractors to do fitting. Some of them are bunch of Un-Professional Phycopaths who can go into rage and start throwing tools into your house. Team at the company will not take responsibility of fitters. They will leave the customer to deal with fitters. Its your luck what kind of fitter you will get in the end. Selling stuff at high price, check other dealers too. Overpriced and Robbing customers. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST... You will be robbed, humiliated and will loose all the time and Money. Fitters are bunch of un-professional chancers, who cannot do the job they were supposed to do...

Rugs whipped
I recently got 2 carpets fitted which were great no complaints whatsoever. However after being told that the spare leftover pieces could be made into rugs, which was great as I’ve used this service before however on this occasion 1 The rug did not fit and was all wavey 2 it had been whipped too tight3 I was told there was nothing that could be done to my disappointment 4 after almost 6 weeks of no response I called and was told there was nothing’s they could do about it. 5 on my suggestion I asked for it back as I needed it for in front of my dressing table6 I did get my money back, however I think this was poor service on their part as instead of making it a t shape they could have done it in 2 pieces7 I am now left with a wonky rug that no matter what you do it won’t lie flat and looks awful on a carpet costing £17008 they did make another oblong rug which I agreed to keep even although it also didn’t lie flat Therefore I am one very angry and disappointed customer

Fitters Vandalised Neighbours Car
On Wednesday 11/08 14:10 - 2 of the fitting team (Jerry and Aaron) from Edinburgh flooring and carpet warehouse were working in my neighbour and close friend’s flat. When I arrived home for my lunch break I was greeted by a man who was accusing me of scratching his van even though I had just arrived on the street from work. I believe he saw a white scratch on my bumper which was caused months prior by a van that parks on our street. I explained to the man that I did not bump his van and that our street was notorious for these sort of dents due to people double parking. He angrily muttered something under his breath as I walked away. After 20 mins of being home I went back to work and was greeted with the a 3 foot key scratch to the bonnet of my car. I contacted my neighbour who was working from home and at this point was nervous that this man was now in her home completing work. She has mentioned that she did not feel safe. Our entire communal group were shocked and were just as nervous that someone who would do something like this has access to our building. This incident has made me feel completely unsafe in my home and I am absolutely torn up that someone would do this in revenge with absolutely no indication that it was myself who bumped his van, apart from a misguided hunch. I think it is absolutely awful. I would also be surprised if people would want to work with a comp[any that would deliberately vandalise a neighbours property and put an entire community of residents on edge. I don’t believe this man knew that I was so close with my neighbour. He definitely didn’t think I would be given the name of this company or that his actions would ever get back to him. Horrible, Horrible experience which has left us all feeling unsafe.

Order fulfillment disaster - lost money and time
Told me flooring was at local warehouse, there was “plenty of stock” and delivery was “guaranteed” before my required deadline. After I paid, booked a fitter and scheduled various other work… they said it was “somewhere down South” and missed 3 delivery dates before telling me they simply didn’t have it. They blamed the supplier and accepted no accountability. I lost money and time. I felt the salesperson was actually honest and decent, but the rest of the team clearly knew something wasn’t right earlier in the process and strung me along with an “anything for the sale” mentality when they could have just been honest with me so I could resort to plan B sooner. A truly awful experience.

I have recently bought two carpets - one for the bedroom and one for the living room. Service in store for both purchases was excellent and the carpet fitters on both occasions were friendly, polite and professional. They cleaned up after the fitting and did an amazing job. Would highly recommend!

I honestly had a great experience visiting Edinburgh carpet warehouse. Steve had all the answers for me when choosing Vinyl plank flooring and so I found the perfect LVT at only £15 per sq mt which was amazing as I could not find something of this quality 4.5mm thick for under £20.After a short wait Steve came out to my car to help the storeman fill my vehicle with 16 boxes of this stuff.I have already laid it in the hall and it looks amazing and amazing quality which will last a long time I am sure...very happy with everything.Dave H.

Having ordered and paid for all the carpets for my new home I was most disappointed with the service. Carpets were to be fitted in the afternoon appointment between 12 Midday and 6 pm. The first 2 carpets were fitted at 6 pm- 8 pm. The next 2 carpets were fitted the following night from 7.30 pm -9 pm and they had no door rods ( I had to call the shop 3 times to get them to confirm they would be back to do this) and I had to stay in a third day when they eventually arrived around 8pm to fit the door rods. Not great! Today I am waiting on my last carpet arriving its 16.45 and still no sign - hopefully it is before 8pmI am disappointed as I have been a good customer this is the second home i bought all new flooring ( from their shop) for in the last 2.5 years.I will be looking for other carpet providers going forward.
