BUYER BEWARE. I chose the monthly subscription model and was immediately charged for an annual subscription. I cancelled straight away asked for a refund but they said no to a refund but I can rest assured I won't be billed automatically after the 12 month term has ended. Seriously? This is not a legitimate company, this is a scamming company.

To ANYONE,Because of the abysmal customer service I am posting here. -There are ZERO ways to contact someone live. The chat box only routes to a forum and when promoted for "Anything Else”, the only thing we can select is “No Thanks”. LOL. -When I try to create a ticket online I'm sent in a permanent loop to look for the answers myself and then to submit a ticket LOL-When I try to sent a ticket VIA THEIR MESSAGING PLATFORM, it says they cannot receive messages. What a joke. I will NOT be recommending Nitro to anyone and I will be posting everywhere for people to stay away. This is ridiculous. The original issue which is why I’m reaching out to begin with: I reset my computer and am attempting to use my licenses. I'm told my serial number does not exist. Moreover, when I try to deactivate my products/register IT DOESN'T LIST THEM. When I try to create a ticket I'm sent in a permanent loop to look for the answers myself and links to submit a ticket. Beyond frustrating, which is why I'm going out of my way to warn people to stay away from Nitro PDF.

Good software but avoid the company.
I have used versions of NitroPro for many years. I had to move the software from one laptop to another. Something I have done before with no difficulty. I went to the website to find out how to do it, and ended up losing access to teh software and despite having a valid licence I had to buy another. BUT, I can not can not access the software to enter the licence details and I just get bounced between NitroPro and Cleverbridge in an endless loop.

DO NOT BUY! The system used to work just fine, but since the updates in Dec 2025, it is simply unusable. They think they improved it, but in fact, they have made it so not user-friendly and so complicated that I will not recommend it to anyone and will not renew my subscription again. I have wasted HOURS with this new, extremely defective system! And their customer service takes days to get back to you.

The renewal process for Nitro Pro is incredibly frustrating and far from user-friendly. Despite being a returning customer, the transition was anything but seamless. If you aren't someone who is highly comfortable navigating complex software settings and billing hurdles, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. It feels like you need to be an IT specialist just to keep your subscription active without a headache.I would not recommend this product to anyone who isn't technically fluent.

Annoying repetitive issues
Basically Nitro Pro works fine - there are however almost monthly incidents where I'm unable to access the functionality. It happens suddenly and the reasons seems to be lack of access to Nitro's server. It is very annoying to have to issue a support case and then wait for then to get back to me as they say "we will get back to you within one business day!". Why don't they have a chat function to resolve the issues immediately.

Worst customer service of any company I hae ever done business with. Impossible to contact a live person or even live chat. Changes made and unauthorized charges and cannot find my authorization/serial number. Their contact/support is a maze of bots and FAQ's. Even ChatGPT queries were fruitless. They have too much competition these days to have such miserable service.

They removed the old perpetual license model and if you have (like me) old licenses, if you want to upgrade them you need to enroll in an expensive subscription.And if you want the latest perpetual license, you need to pay more than €300, because they won't offer discount for previous license owners.This is a break of trust.Don't buy!

Do Not Buy it Ever.
NITRO PDF PRO is a pdf software that will leave you helpless when you need it the most. Paid 179 USD for this, 165 days remaining yet I can't get this shi* show working. Open it and it always says login, login and it shows an empty popup that says continue in demo mode or quit. If it somehow works, it takes ages for simple functions such as find and replace. Free online pdf tools work a thousand times better than this one. I will never recommend this pathetic piece of software to anybody looking for PDF softwares. PS: all their reviews on other websites are either paid for or affiliate blogs so do not fall for that.

I purchased Nitro Pro 12 some years…
I purchased Nitro Pro 12 some years ago. It is mine forever, or at least until operating systems change to make an upgrade essential. Now I am informed my "trial" period is over and I must pay for an upgrade to version 14. Version 12 no longer allows me to create new PDFs. This is software I paid for and expect it to continue working. There is no way to contact Nitro Pro to complain about this and using the community support has gotten me nowhere. My serial number for version 12 has disappeared from the "About" button so I cannot raise a complaint directly.

I did not see anything on the ordering page that said it would not work with Windows 7. I subsequently wrote you asking if I could get my money back, and naturally, have heard nothing. This product is of no use to me. Please contact me telling me a refund is possible. Otherwise, I will have nothing but bad to say.

Getting used to took time but much better useabiity now. The Following Issues I face1. The Menu items, particularly in the print menus and others are very small and ilegible, maybe, due to my display settings, but the problem I am facing only in Nitro2. The Menus may be provided with Colour themes for better visuals.3. Where is UNDO button, Ctrl+ Z is also not working

Terrible experience
The customer service is absolutely terrible. I paid for the lifetime package to avoid having to go to the subscription based model for obvious reasons - after using it for a few years they deactivated my account and sent me an email stating that they will give me a discount on the subscription based model which I refused. In conversation with them the feedback has been slow and I was constantly passed onto another person to help (which ended in no help at all). They keep closing the ticket as though it is resolved when it clearly has not been.

Cash grab to force people into a subscription model. I had a "lifetime" [sic] license from this company and was informed that lifetime just isn't what it used to be. Don't worry, the deactivation is actually for our own good because..."This change was a difficult decision, but became necessary to ensure our latest Nitro PDF and eSign solutions are delivering the best experience and value." Sure. That's the reason. Right.
