Shakespeare’s Head, Carnaby St, it’s a dump! Numerous chairs with shredded seat cushions, the fish in the fish and chips not great, rubbish batter, the fish goujon sandwich was pathetic, tiny pieces with hardly any fish in the batter, accompanying thick chips and salad was decent and fresh.
Poster outside said two mains gor 15Went in ordered two fish n chips and two cokesCharged £31 . Offer not valid on Sundays.Its not cod its pollock. Oven chips Microwaved mushy peas piping hotExpected better .
Hi Everyone We called into The Highway man Pub / Restaurant in Gravely Stevenage last night 24th January 2026It seemed ok at first but almost emptyFirst of all we were asked if we had booked which was odd as it was empty .They sat us in an area that after a while absolutely stank of burning or over cooked cooking oil.To say it was uncomfortable was an understatement and it made our clothes stink .We thought well we have ordered and paid for our food now so let’s eat up and then leave as quickly as possible. Well the food turned up and it wasn’t the best No finesse or presentation just food that looked like it had been thrown on the plate . So I wouldn’t recommend this Pub to anyone..
We visited the Green King in Pilsworth The PaperMill for breakfast. Two mega breakfast. Absolutely terrible. Toast was stale, bacon burnt, everything cold. Then went to soft play. We definitely won’t be trying it again. Not worth the time or the money.

Our visit tonight to The Hungry Fox Hempstead valley. Food was hot andtasty .Jolene who took our orders was pleasant and very attentive to our orders that we placed with the emphasise did we have any allergies The whole experience was very pleasant. It was nice to see the staff interacting with the customers in a warm and pleasant atmosphere. Niki is always like the rest of her staff very welcoming
My friend and I went to The Tiger Moth for Sunday lunch. We were so looking forward to it because my friend has been virtually housebound after a lengthy stay in hospital, so this was to be a treat for her. We were greeted and seated by a very friendly young woman who eventually served us our meals, which were delicious!Unfortunately how experience was spoiled by an extremely loud football match! I understand you offer this in your pubs and I’m not against people enjoying themselves, but the diners around us were having to shout across the tables to have a conversation while eating! Do diners not have any rights to a peaceful Sunday lunch? Considering this was my friend’s first lunch out in ages I was extremely disappointed at the noise. I can’t fault the staff or the delicious food, but does the TV really need to be so loud thus spoiling others enjoyment??
Just visited The Pippin at Wyken Coventry & it was great! The lunchtime staff were DEVON, LEAH & good old JAY! A happy, carefree bunch,always with a smile & look like they actually enjoy their jobs & serving customers! Nice meal, but the lighting looks as though the meter needs feeding as it’s quite dark, given that this was lunch-time! Recommend it highly! Chris.
Visited the pond house in maidenhead and it was amazing. Staff were so lovely and polite and the roast dinner was amazing
The Greene King called The Bull at Penenden Heath, Maidstone was worth five stars all day long. The service, quality of food, atmosphere were superb.Highly recommended by me. Will be going there again.
Booked a table at the Gemini in Dereham, Norfolk with the intention of watching the advertised Aspinall ufc fight and some dinner but come 7pm I've finished my dinner and downed 2 pints to be told that the fight won't be shown after all.False advertising.
Went to Ardencaple Hotel. They Forgot our food order. I got the lamb shepherds pie & my husband peppered mushroom pie. The portions were fine if you're a four year old child which we aren't. The carrots were like rubber & freezing. I don't eat much but there wasn't enough for me even with the side order of chips which was £3 for about 12 chips. My husband had the smallest portion of mash with his meal & he was still hungry after it. Total rip off.

We visited The Bear Tavern last night to take advantage of a voucher for 20% off drinks that my husband won on the Greene King app. We opted for their Wednesday night £6 burger and fries which is great value for money. The barman (I don't know his name but he is blond and wears glasses and an earring) remembered our drinks order from a previous visit which made us smile. Our meal arrived promptly and was really tasty. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We are so lucky to have a great local right on our doorstep. Shout out to Jack, Kieran and the rest of the team.
Not very busy when we visited and selection of draft ales was limited. However, staff were very friendly and eventually a lovely pint of Timothy Taylor became available. Even if your not an ale fan, would recommend, as staff went out of their way to make us welcome.
Went to Royal George in Birdlip, Gloucestershire today for lunch. We looked for any lunch offers (none found) and when ordering drink’s mentioned we would be eating. Food was good quality, however the portions were not big, this was ok. However on the way out saw a small sign on only one table offering a special lunch deal - 2 meals plus 2 drinks for £27.50 We paid over £45 for the same…disappointed for obvious reasons. We believe the staff should have mentioned the lunch offers or there should be more visible signage.
Food was very cold Not enjoyable disgusting the chicken was raw and I got food poisoning. Never coming back here again awful awful service hate the servers also , my kids got told off for playing in the garden like what that makes no sense it’s a garden and there was other children playing but only mine got told off
Visited the Red Lion in Portchester today for a meal and drink. Where we sat we could hear some guys quite close to the bar and the language they were using was awful. Will have second thoughts about going back again
Total rubbish, every order we placed for food they were out, didn't even have chips. THE SHIP INN COBHAM KENT
Food is quite awful, have had fish and chips twice this year from two different greenking pubs and the fish on both occasions was dry and minuscule hidden by layers of batter. The second time I complained and got a 25% discount.
