recieved wrong items on part of order

recieved wrong items on part of order, they want you to take pictures and email them to get items corrected. 4020 trays are not the heaviest duty. wouldn't reccommend megasore. lol

They Sold Me Fermented Liquid Nutrients

I ordered several products, almost all General Hydroponics stuff. (17 Oct '25) I had to call and talk to a rep in order to get the pH adjuster I needed. I placed the order over the phone and waited. It showed up, but some items were missing. I was told they had problems and didn't get them shipped, then they randomly came from a weird place with a person's name on it instead of a business name. I used the products and had nothing but problems. I started checking on the advice of a friend, and decoded the dates on the bottles with GH's decoder document. I discovered that all the bottles were between a couple years and 7 years old, with the FloraNova Grow being 5 years old. Turns out the bottle of FloraNova Grow I purchased was fermented. It smelled of stale vinegar. I told my rep this, and she made a phone call. Hawthorne Gardening Co.'s rep told her "I know from a dry and liquid nutrient perspective, the only item that has a true expiry date is Hydroguard." (2 Dec '25) to which I was floored. GH literally has a public document saying that the shelf life of the FloraNova series products is 6 months open, 12 months sealed. How do they go from 12 months shelf life to no expiration date? They get sold from Larry Brooke to HGC/Scotts-MiracleGro, that's how. Greenhouse Megastore refuses to do anything about the products I purchased because HGC decided not to stand by their product or it's quality/freshness, so I'm just out money now. I comfort myself by telling anyone who will listen. Lesson learned, three more businesses to avoid at all costs. Edit: Greenhouse Megastore's solution is to have GH/HGC remove the language from the site regarding expiration dates. Ok, cool, CYA. Good job.

Bought a terrible product (irrigation kit $300+) and my negative review would not be published. Tried multiple times, poor quality material that constantly needed to be serviced. Ended up trashing it all.

$1000 Tarp came unglued within warranty!!

For Christmas, I bought my husband a Duraskrim commercial greenhouse cover from Greenhhouse Megastore. It was advertised as a premium cover that had a three-year warranty and should last for a decade! It was so heavy that we had to hire a company to install it. We bought it in November of 2023. As I write this complaint, the warranty is still valid. We paid $1,000 for the cover and bought expensive tape in case of a tear. Well, it did not tear... It came unglued!!! Way up at the top! My elderly husband pulled the truck into the greenhouse and put a ladder in the truck to try to repair it. The very next day, the tape failed. I contacted my sales rep, Fermin. He assured me that someone would be contacting me. NOBODY called. I patiently and respectfully gave them time to sort this out. When the manufacturer told Fermin that they would only offer me 25%, I was shocked! Mainly because even though we bought it in November, we had to wait almost a year to save enough money to hire installers. It was a massively heavy tarp. Eight months after installation, the seams SPLIT!!! All the way down the entire top! I called Viatex to check on the warranty. Clay spoke with me and Fermin. I thought we were making progress, but then, I received an accidental email that Fermin was sending to his boss, Dave. Fermin portrayed me as a 'special' customer stating how angry I was. He lied to his boss! He lied about the timeframe, the story, and my disposition! I decided to call BFG supply, who owns GM. They did nothing to help! I call a girl named River from GM to try to see if she could help. She was worse than the guys! They offered me another giant tarp! What am I going to do with a giant tarp that we can't even lift? This would never happen to a school! Using tax dollars to buy one of these? Would you deny a school a refund for a faulty product? I highly doubt it. But I'm just an elderly woman with a giant greenhouse. Shame on you!

Gives you false hope

The customer service that pertained to my order was great and questions were quickly responded. I was told that the nursery pots I purchased were backordered and that they will become available for shipment the beginning of August. Well just checked my Paypal account and noticed that I had received a refund. Guys, if you don’t have all the items in stock in your warehouses, why would you even allow your customers to make those purchases. All you are doing is wasting peoples’ time and give us the false hope that our patience will pay off and we will eventually get our purchased items. It’s not a good way to do businesses and you could lose potential customers. One extra star for a great customer service; Otherwise, I would just give one star for the bad experience with this purchase…

Absolutely awful communication and…

Absolutely awful communication and service, if you buy a big item like a greenhouse it will come no problem at all, but anything else forget about it, ordered on their webpage and the items said "in stock" that was a lie , they didn't have anything in stock, after waiting for almost a month , I emailed them and after another week they tell me that it was not in stock and should be in in a couple weeks, 2 more inquiries later, and 2 months later it still isn't shipped, absolutely ridiculous , a pretty poor way to do business telling people something is in stock when in fact it isn't, I had to give up on them because I refuse to do business with a company that will lie like that, would not recommend

Terrible quality. Black pots are so thin they tear…

Black pots are so thin they tear immediately and they don’t fit into the firm trays recommended. When returning everything, the shipping was almost as much as the purchase!!!

A Scam—they use bait and switch pricing to cheat customers cu

What a scam. They had a ‘Sale!’ for nursery pots and seedlings trays so I spent quite a bit of time selecting what I wanted to purchase. Once everything was in my cart I went to check out only to find that the sale price had disappeared and the full retail price was what I would pay. (It was about $50, so not a small amount of money.)I backed out of the checkout screen and went back to my cart—the sales price was still valid in my cart. I went back to the checkout screen—sales price was gone—back to the cart, sales price was valid. At this point I took screenshots of my cart and went back to the checkout screen—everything was full price.I took screenshots of the checkout screen and went back to my cart and now the cart had everything at full price. Nothing on the website said the sales price was ending, furthermore, it was checking out at around 11:30 PM, so even if it was ending it should have been valid until 11:59PM. This wasn’t a mistake on the company’s part, it was an attempt to fool me and do a bait and switch on price. I will contact BBB and see if they will list my review. I would hate for anyone to buy from this company thinking that they are ethical when they are just trying to scam people.

Missing Items and Customer Support

The quality of the products is excellent and the purchase experience is satisfactory.However, follow through on actual delivery and missing items is abysmal.Specifically, it appears that there isn’t much attention paid to the small parts on an order.We had to call back over 2-3 months to get everything finally delivered such as screws, tape, thermostats, ventilation actuators, and wire.Going forward, I would not recommend Greenhouse Megastore.

Ordered on December 8

Ordered on December 8, 2024. Today is January 12, 2025. I keep getting emails telling me my order will be shipped after a certain date. I’d rather get an email telling me I’d actually receive my order before a certain date. Losers. They talk a good game. They come up short on actual delivery of product. Still waiting and wondering when I should give up on expecting delivery.

Wrong item- cost me money

Free shipping isn’t free when you charge 25% more for items, took ten days to get Seattle from Illinois, and then ship the wrong item. All around a failure if you ask me. The customer service, however, was great. Easy to understand, polite, and efficient at processing my return. Best part of this business. They must do this a lot. It’s unfortunate, however, that their mistake in sending the wrong item has just cost me 4 hours labor and 500 Leyland cypress starts. Minimum that cost me 1000$. That, I can’t look past and won’t use this outfit as a vendor anymore. As a small business I can’t afford these kinds of issues. I’m blown away at the fact that the label and barcode are right on the case of pots. How in the hell did this get passed QC for orders? One box, one barcode, one packing slip, and y’all can’t even get that right????? And then the icing on the cake. “Do you want us to send you the correct ones?”, I was asked. No discount, no offer of paying expedited shipping charges, …… We screwed you over now deal with it seemed to be their way of righting their wrong. Well, 🖕🏼

Very satisfied

I ordered from Greenhouse Megastore and though they did not communicate with me on my order status they promptly answered the phone and answered my questions when i called. Also got a nice discount and product arrived timely enough. Can't complain.

Terrible shipping rates

Terrible shipping rates. Only purchased two sets of inserts on 01/11. Received one and was sent email that second set will be shipped AFTER 02/20.Will use other websites from now on.

Poor timing

Got one of three items , then I got a message that one item ( which I paid for is out of stock , and a month behind in ) . Wow not sure but seems shady at this end of the greenhouse . Sure if I would of known that, I would of looked elsewhere. Ive ordered before and was happy , guess I'll look elsewhere next time .

Just ordered from Greenhouse Megastore again and got the same great service. River 217 443 0600 is a really great sales rep who found what we needed even though it was shown as out of stock. Price and Free Shipping was a bonus.

NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE I ordered two item from what I thought…

I ordered two item from what I thought was an experienced/knowledgeable sales person (Sarah). I had thoroughly explained what I wanted and how they would be used. Both items that were sent were incorrect for the application as determined by the directions on one and usage on the other. I will look for a seller/Co. with more knowledge and better trained sales people.

absolutely excellent

absolutely excellent! they have the best prices on plastic nursey pots, 1020 trays and much more. it’s also easy to qualify for free shipping, which is very quick via FedEx. Greenhouse Megastore continues to be my go-to for all things nursery and houseplant related.
