Zero customer service at Heartland Vet Supply
Four days ago I ordered meds for my dog from Heartland and asked for it to be expedited. The rep told me that it would go out that day. Now, four days later it has not been received by USPS. I have emailed them several times asking for help and get the same canned computer response that is was shipped. Clearly there is zero customer service at Heartland Vet Supply.

One complete year of service on auto ship. NO complaints, more efficient than retail pharmacies for human meds. Never have to worry about our fur baby getting his medication on time. Customer service is on it. Took the time to go look for my prescription in their received mail since my vet will not provide refills over the phone.

I have ordered meds for my dachshunds numerous times. They have always been courteous to me and although they are across the country from me I always receive the order in a timely manner. I order from them because they are cheaper than any other pharmacy supply I have checked and will continue to order from them.

Horribly slow shipping with 0 communication
Second time ordering from Heartland. First time very long delay and finally had to call to get medication shipped. Second order I waited five business days and was checking my account for shipment and not shipped. Finally called and was told the item was not in stock. Were they ever planning to email or call me to let me know ? I guess they are to busy. If you have a sick pet PLEASE look elsewhere like Chewey.com

Other than price I have nothing good to say. Incessant delays over really trying to work with them more than a year. Was told it took 9 business days for my dog's RX to go from OK to them in NE 300 miles away and that was the last straw. There is ALWAYS a flimsy excuse to be non-responsive and have unreasonable delays. If your animal depends on the med I would suggest paying a little more and going elsewhere. They have an excuse for everything but being on time. They only respond to calls getting short because of their inaction and then the excuses again. Since I have a history of being progressively more irritated with them I assume they decided to not respond to my requests to have my dog's RX transferred to another pharmacy. In my opinion these people are the worst and you can't depend on them. They only get 2 stars because of price. I will never use them again. They are in it for themselves only I think. Kind of an obtuse attitude when you depend on repeat business I would say?!

TERRIBLE company. First & last order with them and how i regret it! I placed an order Jan 2nd, they took $60 and the $30 expedited shipping cost and NEVER sent my time sensitive product. Order ANY place else. This company should be listed on BBB as a scam.

One star is actually too many
One star is actually too many. We said goodbye to our 20 year old cat three days ago. Two or three days prior to that I had received my auto shipments of 50mg Gabapentin tablets from Heartland. I haven’t even opened the envelope as I had several left from the previous order. They refused to give me a refund even when I offered to return the package. In contrast, Chewy and Covetrus, the two other companies I have been getting products from, refunded all my recent purchases and encouraged me to donate what I have to an animal shelter. Chewy also sent me flowers.The only reason I chose to do business with Heartland is because they were the only company where I could find Gabapentin in 50 mg tablets. Chewy has 100mg capsules for a fraction of the price Heartland charges but it was difficult to ensure I was giving the correct dose attempting to divide capsules in half. In any event, I will never recommend Heartland or do business with them again. They should change their name to “Heartless.”

DO NOT use this pharmacy if you have anything urgent for your pet. I ordered an urgent prescription a week ago from this pharmacy. 5 days passed with no word after I and my vet faxed the prescription to them, and I asked them to call my vet. I then called to cancel the prescription as they did not fill it in time to save my cat. They do not answer or monitor their voice mail! A week later and after I cancelled my order, they shipped the script overnight. Terrible response, one email that took them almost two days to respond to, and 3 voice mails later that they don’t respond to.

Medication order took 10 days to receive
My sick cat suffered needlessly for 10 days with inflammation and pain/stress/anxiety due to Heartland Veterinary Supply's delay in shipping medications. I do NOT recommend Heartland if you have a sick animal needing medications quickly. I placed an order on 5/5/23 for two prescriptions. I phoned Heartland on 5/9/23 to find out why it hadn't shipped. I had an error in the number of mg's of 1 medication. However, Heartland had identified the error, made the correction, but had not yet sent out. I was told it would go out within the next 2 days. I phoned again on day 3, 5/11/23, as it hadn't. I was advised it would go out that day, and around 3pm, it did. Received order on Monday, 5/15/23, 10 days after order placement. I can receive shipments from China in under 7 days. Heartland can/must do better.
