Extremely Disappointed

Extremely Disappointed , Worst Customer Service I’ve Experienced From a Major RC BrandI placed an order on the Hobbywing USA website over 10 days ago, and this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve ever had with an RC company. They provided me a USPS tracking number, but my package has been stuck in the Los Angeles facility for over 3 days with no movement at all. Clearly something is wrong with the shipment ,it may even be lost.I contacted Hobbywing USA for help because they are the sender, and USPS always tells the sender to open an investigation or start a trace. Instead of helping, Hobbywing acted like they don’t care at all.No urgency. No responsibility. No effort to assist.Just generic replies telling me to “wait because it delayed ,” even after I explained multiple times that the package appears lost. What makes it worse?I receive packages from California all the time, from different sellers, and they always arrive on time by USPS. So clearly this issue is not USPS alone, it’s also the lack of support from Hobbywing. For a company this big, I expected at least basic customer service. Instead, I got: • No real help • No willingness to contact USPS • No solutions • No accountabilityIt feels like once they took my money, they didn’t care what happened after.I’ve spent thousands on RC gear, and I expected much better from a brand like Hobbywing. After this experience, I honestly don’t know if I want to order directly from them again.Very disappointed. If anyone is thinking about buying from Hobbywing USA’s website, be prepared, if anything goes wrong with your shipment, you’re on your own.

THEIVING COMPANY

I purchased a Max 4 Combo on Oct 31. I never received it. I reached out to them immediately and didn’t get any response over the weekend. Monday comes around and they finally respond. I get told it was delivered and they showed me a “delivery confirmation” which literally states “ Package was successfully delivered “. No address, no person accepting, no signature. I got emailed some articles about how Hobby Wing isn’t responsible for any packages after they leave the warehouse. Then days with silence and not returning my emails. When you call the phone number it just hangs up on you. After the lack of response I filed a chargeback with my bank. All of a sudden, after they got notice of the dispute I filed, they’ve responded advising they are going to send a replacement as a “one time courtesy” but here’s the catch.. I have to withdraw my chargeback and get a letter on a bank letter head stating I’ve withdrawn my dispute. My bank has advised against withdrawing, as if I do and they don’t send my replacement I can’t re open the dispute. I’ve been getting emails from them regarding the replacement being held until I provide the information. My bank has advised me not to withdraw and once/if I receive the replacement HobbyWing can upload their proof and then the dispute will be closed. Seems HobbyWing is trying to scam me again for another $1000+ . I’ve reached out numerous times and they don’t respond anymore. Absolutely the worst company. How do you business stealing from people? Order at your own risk here. Thankfully my bank has my back! I won’t be ordering from here ever again.

Poor customer service

Poor customer service. Received a faulty ESC for a drone and they require the customer pays shipping for defective parts. If you don't stand behind your product then don't sell it.

Used to be a good company.

They make a good product. I have purchased many. This time they took my money and just didn't ship anything. Didn't contact me. Tried calling them but that didn't work. Hobbywing no longer provides customer service.

Unethical Warranty Experience

Purchased the blue tooth connector for the hobbywing esc. Would not connect to Android as hobbywing is apparently not keeping up with Android updates. Once Hobbywing informed me they fixed the issue, the device would no longer power on. Immediatly hobbywing offered me options to pay for a replacement. The first option is they inspect the device and determine if its a warranty issue or not. If not you get a discounted (of a whopping $9 for a total of $54) replacement option or you can off the rip decide to purchase a extended warranty replacement as they call it for $37.99 and they send out a replacement. "Option 1 Warranty Inspection serviceThe product will be sent to the HOBBYWING North America facility for testing and service exchange. You will receive a Return Authorization number (RA#), as well as instructions for the Return.• All standard RMA Warranty requirements must be met if they have not been met already.• Upon full-scale inspection, if the product is determined to be damaged due to a manufacturer defect, the RMA department will issue a brand new replacement at no cost ($0) immediately. With that in mind,• If our engineers determine the damage is due to some other cause other than a manufacturing defect, it is considered Non-warranty condition. In this case, a flat rate repair/replacement fee (including labor) of the product will be provided. If it is not repairable, a brand new replacement can be arranged at $54 (List price $62.99). Option 2 Extended warranty exchange. You'll be provided a brand new replacement at a reduced price that can be sent out to you as soon as I received your return shipping tracking number.• Skip Inspection process. You are returning 1x OTA Programming Device to activate this program.• The Extended warranty replacement fee is $ 37.99 each.• A return shipping address will be assigned to you accordingly. As soon as we confirm a tracking number, the new replacement will be arranged by our automated shipping fulfillment system."Not only is this process extremely slow as they only seem to communicate through email and typically takes 3-4 days for them to reply.Out of the warranty claims I have had to make in my life and customer service I have delt with this is by far the worse. I am sending my unit in to see what the outcome is. I am also replacing all my hobbywing purchases and selling all hobbywing gear. I no longer have any trust in hobbywing products or support

Terrible Customer Service

My review is based on dealing with castle creations and horizon hobby’s. I tried calling in to speak to someone live about my fan going out in my max 6 ESC. I had it a week and put a screen over it to protect it so nothing could get in. Anyways, their was no possibility to speak to anyone and made to email them. Strike #️⃣1️⃣. When I got an email back it was an auto generated template which was very cold and said sorry we don’t replace fans. Strike #️⃣ 2️⃣ and believe me. There will not be another strike. I don’t care if I save a little $ on this product and I will moving forward spend more to get great customer service.

Hobbywing axe 2300kv

I was lead to believe this was a great company with great support, but for some reason I have a problem with their product and they say it’s impossible. I bought an axe 2300kv brushless set up and don’t even run the fan. For some reason though it flatlined one of my cells in my 3s lipo without reaching voltage cut off. The response I got was “that’s impossible it wouldn’t do that what accessories are you running” the unfortunate part is I’m not running any accessories not even the fan. My questions are 1) why didn’t the voltage cut off work for all of the cells? Clearly one of my 3 cells went to 0% so that means it should have stopped at 3.4v per cell, the setting I put it at, but it didn’t. 2) why don’t you put in the instructions that if you play with the throttle rate in the controller that it causes batteries to go past voltage cut off? I assume you guys suck at research so bad that I had to conduct my own and I found that if I played with the throttle rate instead of keeping it all the way cranked up that it’ll kill a battery. I’ve tested this with 4 different batteries and they all worked fine till I adjusted the throttle rate then they started to degrade abnormally, and they started to go off balance then would go down past voltage cut off. Overall I’m going to post this review on anything that has to do with the axe system till I get contacted again with a fix for killing my $60 battery completely. Your R&D team needs to do better.

Don't buy from Hobby-wing aka Arris hobby!

Hobby-wing aka Arris hobby sold me a product which was defective. The drone has electrical issues. They will fight you over returning or exchanging the product even though. I contacted support on the very first day it arrived and alerted support that the drone wasn't working properly. Instead of replacing the product or issuing a refund they are trying to force me to pay to send it to a repair center and go another week without being able to use the product I payed several hundred dollars for which arrived unusable. They will push the shipping fees for the return or repair of the defective products on you rather than providing a return label. Customer service is over seas and they have no customer service in the US so you will be waiting hours upon hours for responses and simple issues will take days or weeks to resolve.

I would give this company 0 Stars if I…

I would give this company 0 Stars if I could this company is a bunch of crock. I have this friend who purchased to esc's both of which fried within 10 minutes of using them and they refused to even help him which is crap because I know he followed all the directions and I know that he did it step-by-step he made sure he had the right equipment everything and this company has told him three options which is bologna because a company should warranty their product especially if they want customers to stand behind their products my friend has an arrma kraton and I know that they would go above and beyond to help him out to make sure he was a satisfied customer and hobbywing is literally the worst product ever to purchase. Because he plugged all of his equipment into a different ESC and guess what lo and behold it works perfectly fine had no problems whatsoever but the moment the ESC from hobbywing was put in it fries pathetic in a company and definitely a pathetic warranty manufacturer's defect whatever you want to call it. I know for a fact that he has spent over $1,000 on hobbywing products and they've all s*** on him. it's pretty sad that a company can't stand behind their guarantee that a product of theirs is going to work.

Stay away from this company

Ordered an ezrun motor for my rc truck, within 3 times of using it it literally fell apart and stopped working. I understand things happen so I contacted customer service for a return since I was in the 30 day warranty period. They would not honor their warranty and tried to sell me another motor at a "discount" (plus shipping). What a joke. I will never order another hobbywing product.

If I could give a zero star review I…

If I could give a zero star review I would! I ordered the arris 250 drone about a month and a half ago! I got a box in but it was just the drone and remote! That’s it! No battery! No goggles like I had purchased! The antenna was the wrong antenna! It’s like they opened the box and just put random parts to the drone not knowing if they went together! I contacted them and told them the problem and they said that the goggles shipped separately from the drone! Well first of all that’s completely dumb! I told them it didn’t have a battery in the box and they said it should! I told them it is not in the box and that they need to fix it! They told me they would send it! Still waiting on that! I messaged them again two days ago about the antenna and they said that they were sorry and didn’t send it out!( I told them this over a month ago) and that it would take 25 days to come in! I’m done with them! They are a pure waste of time and obviously money! DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS “COMPANY “

worst shopping experience i ever had

I ordered Fatshark Scout in that shop and that was great mistake. They debited money from my account, then they said they couldn't deliver them to me, lied to me in correspondence and when they refund money I lost 13$ because of the exchange rate. And all this time they were trying to sell me a more expensive product that requires additional purchase of the battery and normal antennas.

Contacted hobbywing tech support

Contacted hobbywing tech support. Spoke with Charlie. Terrible experience. He stated that the internal temp sensor of the motor should not be reading as high as it is but I should just keep on running it to see if it fixes itself randomly. He also stated that the internal temperature sensor is not designed to be that accurate so most people dont use it to gather data. I fail to see this being shared with customers prior them purchasing this unit. The whole premise of the data logging system is to gather data to better care for your electronics. To finish it all off, when I asked multiple questions he seemed to only dismiss my concerns on equipment that he already stated was acting in a defective manner.
