From Customer Support to Criminal Trespass Warning
Our recent experience with IONOS was extremely troubling.After discovering that domains matching our exact legal names had been registered and redirected, we contacted IONOS seeking guidance. An IONOS representative provided us with the Philadelphia office address and instructed us to appear with government-issued identification so the matter could be reviewed.We followed those instructions precisely. We presented official ID, were cleared by building security, and were escorted into the lobby. We were polite, cooperative, and attempting to resolve the situation in good faith.Instead of assistance, we later received a letter from IONOS’ attorney titled “Permanent Ban from IONOS Property and Premises.”The letter states:“You are strictly forbidden from entering any part of the property.”“Any attempt to enter the premises will be treated as criminal trespass.”“We will contact building security and the Philadelphia Police Department immediately.”It further states that “Any correspondence of any kind directed to IONOS… will be ignored.”We appeared only because an IONOS employee directed us to do so. Escalating that visit into a permanent ban and criminal warning — rather than engaging constructively — was disproportionate and deeply disappointing.IONOS has taken the position that this matter is solely between us and another customer, despite the domains being registered and managed through their platform.As small business owners, we expected professionalism, clarity, and accountability. Instead, we were met with hostility and a refusal to engage.We stand by the facts of what occurred.

My honest feedback on Ionos is just don't use it because you're going to get disappointed, what a scam. They have empty promises, they'll tell you something today and then change it the next day. I’ve tried hosting providers like Hostinger,Dreamhost etc. And I've never had it bad this way.When I first purchased the web builder, I did not like it and decided to request for a refund few days later after realizing it's too basic and couldn't meet any of my requirements. After making a request, I had to keep on doing it again and again because the support team was terribly slow. They tried to convince me to take a 13 month WordPress Hosting plan and even agreed on it since it was going to be had the same price as the last one. A month later they started charging me breaking their promise that they have admitted me to a different hosting plan. I reach out to them to stop and they denied it, I had to provide numerous printed email pdf and screenshots of the agreement including bank statements. They still denied it and said it was going to be impossible for them to manually put me in a different hosting plan.I asked for a refund again and they promised they were no longer going to charge me but going to cancel the contract but it's still going to be working until the end of the term. A month later they deleted my data and everything including the website and emails. I had to be left with customers asking me questions with the data having no way to recover it again. I decided to consistently reach out to them, till this day they hadn't said anything back.Avoid this scammers at all cost.This is my contract number: 109427107

Under advice from IONOS I setup a VPS with PLESK for email to find the ip adddress was blacklist on all the spam filters. This led to my email not been delivered the support was terible. Setup with a new hosting company the issue was fixed overnight.
