Poor decision by the owner Spencer Ivey
I had Spencer Ivey come to my home and give me a bid for a railing. He was very nice when he came to visit. The railing was done and it was a good railing except for the two posts at the top of the stairs were over 1" different in height. The posts were obviously different. I contacted him about this and he told me it was going to cost me $1,200 to fix it. I asked him if he would have built the posts at the same height if it were his stairs. His response was "Your situation has nothing to do with my stairs. As I stated, I'll fix them but there will be additional charges." He also said "This is my executive decision". I wasn't happy with his response as an owner, I would recommend finding someone else to build your railing.
