A crappy Healthcare insurance choice. They literally don't give a shit about you.
I got contacted by them because I was seeking no cost healthcare coverage. Unemployed and disabled and desperate, I gave them my info. BIG MISTAKE. They will not leave me alone!! I have been rid of their insurance "services" since the same month I got signed up. It is clearly stated on my tax form 1095-A that I was "covered" from 7/01 to 7/26. Never used their bs insurance and I have 3 sets of annual charges! The tax papers say I "may have to pay back some or all" of the annual fees for some bs I didn't even use. Annual total A: $280.12 - Annual total B: $333.42 - Annual total C: $280.12(yes, again). I did not use their "service" and now I'm paying back charges? With money I DON'T EVEN HAVE?? I hope everyone that works for this company rots in hell.
I hadn't seen a dentist in awhile. I got Molina and they pointed me to a Dentist out of my hometown. the only thing, Molina paid for was the cleaning, and it took a long time to get just the cleaning approved. In the end I still had to come off of my hard earned savings and pay for a crown. Bad Dental with Molina. Second I needed new glasses. There wasn't any places that accepted Molina. Sure I got an exam, but the Dr and the staff treated me like I was a bum! Molina would not pay for any frames, even the cheap ones, nor the lenses. I had to use my old frames and still I had to come out of my own pocket to pay for a prescription that did not even come close to what I needed! Thirdly, those benefits they claim you get, are a joke! At first I got a few OTC and Food help. Now They took away almost all of the benefits and I am now stuck with 3/4 of my Benefits being taken away. Molina Healthcare sucks! I am looking for another Healthcare program that would cover what I need. DO NOT..I REPEAT>>DO NOT GET MOLINA HEALTHCARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had started out applying for another Medicare Advantage plan with Tufts but ended up with Molina due to requirements. Unfortunately, my Medicaid wasn't fully in order for Molina specs and I was told to call back when it was, so I did, but it took a couple of weeks. When I called to say my Medicaid was finally all set, the somewhat condescending rep made no mention of time frames and just told me what the benefits would be. About a week later I received a denial stating that I hadn't responded within the timeframe they requested, which wasn't true, I had been speaking with reps and leaving messages for the entire time. The ironic thing is though, after reading their reviews and given that I travel a lot, it was actually a blessing that they rejected me. I realized that being able to choose my own doctors without waiting eons for a referral was priceless to me and outweighed the additional benefits that I would have received with their advantage plan. Plus, the PC that I was finally able to find wasn't listed (it's incredibly hard finding a PC here) and the doctor that rep assigned me to isn't accepting new patients, although their info says to the contrary. Sometimes what doesn't seem to work out is actually working out more than you realize. Thanks for the rejection Molina! I realize that what I have is actually the best thing for me!
Unacceptable Provider SupportMolina Healthcare’s business/provider services department is extremely unresponsive and unhelpful. Emails go unanswered, and there is no real support for providers trying to complete applications or understand contracting and billing requirements.I repeatedly reached out for assistance with a provider application and received little to no guidance or follow-up. This level of neglect is unacceptable for an organization responsible for managing healthcare access. The lack of communication creates unnecessary delays and discourages providers from participating.Molina seriously needs to improve its provider support, responsiveness, and accountability.
So I’ve had the plan for a year now and was hospitalized for a heart rhythm problem. I had to follow up with a cardiologist and it took nearly a month to find one that takes Molina and another several weeks to get an appointment. To get that appointment I had to jump through 10 hoops and spent hours on the phone. Today I tried to make an appointment for carpel tunnel syndrome (very painful) after a referral from my primary care doctor-not one single hand/ortho doctor on Molina’s website accepts their insurance. I’m sitting here waiting on a call back from Molina on what to do. Honestly, this is almost comical were it not true. I’m give Molina a negative star rating if I could. Awful!
Spend 5 hours on the phone with them and still all my 3 medications are been charged more than they should. At this point I can't say it's just a mistake.
They are terrible- they promise healthy rewards benefits and I spent days calling to collect after completing all of the requirements and just end up going in circles. They even sent someone to my home - a nurse practitioner for an annual visit and he didn’t even know what to do. I’m switching to Silver Summit!
If I could give zero stars I would. They tell you one thing to sign you up then change what the terms are once you pay. Refuse to reimburse you for out of pocket expenses. Horrible at responding back. Dropping them as healthcare provider and eating the $1000 they owe me as it's not healthy for my mental well being to keep them.
I would give Molina A ZERO if I could. Poor customer service. Nobody can answer your questions, it's often difficult to understand them. They could care less about you. I will be leaving Molina as soon as possible. They should be shut down.
No stars! I have chronic internal hemorrhoids usually multiple at once. They just refuse to ease my pain which makes my anxiety worse. Thanks for nothing. Worst ever, avoid this company or pay for it with your health.
A broken dysfunctional healthcare agency that sends the weak to an early grave. Black holes, double talk by offshore parrots with no cognitive problem-solving skills. Molina is criminal. Bureaucratic mumbo jumbo and a ton of boiler plate trash. Unmet promises. No communication. Molina is a living hell!!!
All health insurance in the U.S.A. is CRIMINAL! But Molina Healthcare is in a class of its own! They drag their feet for EVERYTHING hoping you will die before approving ANYTHING! Healthcare, Big Pharma, Big Insurance, Banks etc. operate as CARTELS! They HATE any and all regulation or consumer protection!
Molina Healthcare was supposed to send me 3 gift cards last year and I never received them.I offered my United States Post Office list of mail and they refused it and said they cannot send me the gift.Cards that I never received in the first place. I'm beginning to think it's fraud.We'll see if they send me My next issue of gift cards. Also I need a bag doctor and no one's able to find me when that accepts molina. So i've been without a beck doctor the only reason why I have not changed insurance companies is because I get home health care and it's just too much for me to interrupt that right now. But if anybody wants to complain about their gift cards that they never receive you can contact attorney general do I com..UFinancial ProtectionBureau (CFPB), or contactthe Texas Health andHuman ServicesOmbudsman if you're inTexas;
I'm not going to bore you with the details. They make me sick enough as it is without writing about them. Molina Healthcare should be ashamed of themselves for the way they cheat, lie and for the obvious total lack of regard they have for their patients. But they are NOT. I urge anyone who reads this to contact lawyers whom specialize in class actions because Molina needs a swift kick in the behind.
Do not get Molina Ins ! I have been fighting a claim with them since June. I went to a Chiropractor in their network four times and was told the adjustments would be $10 copay. After I went I got a explanation of benefits. It went to my deductible, big difference in price ! When calling the customer service numerous times and being sent from one person to another for sometimes over an hour I was told it was coded wrong. The Chiropractor coded it as physical therapy and they would contact them about it. They never did and I just do not have anyone else I can contact to help me. Molina will not make the people in their network charge the correct amount, leaving the patient paying much more than expected. I am so frustrated with this company !
THE WORST EVER!!!! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT PEOPLE ONLY PROFITS!!! MINDY A CASE MNGR IS EVEN WORSE BECAUSE I CAN STILL BATHE MYSELF HOME HEALTH CARE WAS TAKEN TO 1 DAY WHICH CAUSES ME NOW TO PAY 40$ A MONTH FOR THE HELP I NEED AT HOME I HAVE 2 OUTSTANDING BILLS FOR BLOOD WORK AND XRAYS CAUSE ROSIE CLAIRE IL WONT ACCEPT THERE INSURANCE TO ME THAT SCREAMS BEWARE THEY DONT COVER ALOT OF THINGS PEOPLE NEED EITHER PLEASE I BEG STAY AWAY FROM THIS INSURANCE COMPANY Also when Mindy came to my home on 11/4/24 I told her she wasn't welcome here anymore and she sorta snorted & laughed like this was funny!!!!!!
Pros: I've almost never had to fight them on something. I have had to get hospitals to update billing codes for coverage, but then it was covered.Cons: They do not cover out-of-network expenses at all, and nobody wants to work with them. I've had doctors straight up hang up on me when they hear the word Molina. I had a doctor recently tell me that starting in 2025 even the largest hospitals in the Seattle area are no longer accepting new Molina patients. I've had places that are supposedly in-network explain to me that Molina's provider portal is so bad, and their support so useless, that after 8 months of trying to use it they gave up and can no longer take Molina. I was told instead of using *any* of the dozen physical therapy places around me, I need to travel 4 towns over if I want coverage. For a couple in our 30s, I'm currently spending about $12k/yr in premiums, $4k/yr in copays and coinsurance, and an additional $20k/yr for all the stuff Molina doesn't even attempt to cover.Support is a joke. They either don't know and just make stuff up, or lie to you, and of the 4 times I've called them they've been helpful 0 times. Their web portal is hot garbage. You **cannot** get your EOBs online--they'll send you one copy in the mail and you need to hang onto that like it's a treasure, even though it's just a series of nonsense codes that aren't explained. They have so many issues that I had to complain to the office of the insurance commissioner and detailed almost a dozen complaints at once.
Trying to bill me for a service I have never even enquired about. If this isn't a scam it's just bad management and bad service.
The healthy benefits is horrible I did my rewards and they never gave me my benefits or gift cards as promised I wouldn't recommend definitely switching providers
