Horrible experience!

Horrible experience!! Went to purchase a used Pacifica with salesman Alvaro. He went to his manager and we agreed on a price. I live over 3 hours away. He told me to set up finance and they would hold the van. I told him I was paying cash and sent him a copy of the certified check and copy of insurance. He would have the van ready for me when I got there. On my way driving up there, I received a call from Alvaro telling me that Mike a manager at the dealership sold the van to somebody else. This dealership cannot be trusted and you should stay away!!

$20,000 service repair estimate given…

$20,000 service repair estimate given after owning the car for just a few months! I bought a 2015 Cherokee Trail hawk from Clermont Napleton in Feb 2025 with about 105k miles. I brought it in a few months later for an oil change, check engine light, steering light, traction control light, and a right headlight out. I have an extended warranty on the truck. I advised the service rep the truck had a tow behind package installed by the previous owner. When the tow related switch was in the off position none of the lights were on. I advised that I thought all the issues may be related to the switch and if they could see about removing it. The dealer came back with an estimate for $20 k in repairs. They wanted to do an oil pump, entire valve train, electronic steering rack, shocks all around and a harness for the headlight bulb because the previous owner installed LED bulbs. The advisor stated they had codes in the system for the items recommended. They also requested an addition $750.00 for tear down per the extended warranty co. I asked again about the tow switch and was advised they hadn't looked at it yet. I expressed my concern it could be cutting power and setting codes in the system, still nothing. I advised the service Mgr. who shrugged and said, "yeah maybe, makes sense", but nothing was done. Sales was the same and had no issues with selling a car (that according to their service Dept.) that needed $20k in repairs a few months after selling it. I pulled the car paid $240.00 in diag. fees. I had the truck looked at by a local mechanic. The truck needed an oil filter housing and oil pressure and temp switch (a very common problem) he diagnosed it in about 10 minutes. The headlight bulb harness was intact and just needed the LED harness unplugged, the new standard bulb plugged right in (15 minutes). I left the tow switch in the off position and no more lights. I wrote service for 15 years for major car manufacturers. This was the poorest example of customer service I have ever seen. Not to mention a blatant attempt at making money off of fraudulent repairs. It still blows my mind, that from the technician to management, nothing but frauds, with no sense of integrity, or concern for the customer. To be fair this all seemed to be above the Service Advisors head, and I think she felt she was being genuine but was gravely misled by the technician (or he was just not a very good tech).

Last week ripoff

Last week after talking to supposed internet sales department and setting up a meeting with the woman representative that told us she would be there the next day to help us expedite our car purchase, we arrived the next day only to find she was not there as promised. After at least 3 calls, emails, texts giving info ,trade, cash, specific personal information, we arrived and and basically started the whole process from scratch as they acted as if they had no information. I suspect that the internet sales department is not at the dealer to begin with but is an off dealership location just collecting calls. I can’t prove that though. We arrived at 12:45 am and left at 5 pm after a (Dog and Pony show) low balling our trade , saying that they wouldn’t even put it on there sales lot and it would be wholesaled out to car max for $13000 as it was to old to get financing for prospective customers. KBB was Average at $17500. So we told them we would pay cash instead. Even at full price with all the BS fees they refused our offer and would only accept cash if we purchased three worthless items from the financial dept and agreed to finance the car for at least 3 months (WHAT!). The extra add on items were scratch and dent warranty (On a car that is not made of metal so it would not apply) a clear wipe on fluid formula that would protect the infotainment screen for $200 and a service to locate the car if it were stolen (that’s what onstar does for free). So basically they want to negate cash, trade in, at full price plus fees in order to burden you with terms and extra crap you will never use. The salesman to manager show of going back and forth was exhausting as well as a joke. I tried to walk and talk my friend out of the purchase but they kept up there game ,wearing her down. After a failed no show for the internet sales, failure to get the sale done in expedited time, the sales show, lies about the trade, demands of purchasing useless add on and a very skilled slight of hand show we ad insult to injury this am by finding that the trade in was in fact a newly listed addition to there used car inventory at about $10 more that there offer. BEWARE of the lower than normal fees to entice buyers to buy as once you walk through the door you are at there mercy. I’ve never experienced such a dishonest, misleading, bait and switch dealer before. My advice would be to step clear of them at all cost. I hope that Karma serves them well.

This is an unfortunate and disheartening story!

This is an unfortunate and disheartening story. We had no choice but to inform the bank to freeze and cancel a $40K check made out to Napleton Clermont due to significant discrepancies with the 2023 Tesla Model Y we purchased. The car, which had 5,400 miles on it, was originally priced at $42K and later reduced, yet it still didn’t align with the $38K price listed on TrueCar.com.Upon receiving the vehicle, we were shocked by its poor condition. It was extremely dirty, far from what we had expected. Adam Alsughair, the salesman we dealt with, misrepresented the car’s condition when we signed the contract. It hadn’t been cleaned, the battery wasn’t fully charged, and the tire pressure—supposed to be at 42 PSI—was well below that on all tires. Additionally, the tires had not been rotated since the car had reached 5,000 miles, a fact the car’s computer system on the Tesla monitor clearly confirmed. In the end, we returned and dumped the 2023 Tesla Model Y to Napleton Clermont, handed it back with both key cards, and walked away with peace of mind. They never contacted us afterward, seemingly left to swallow their pride.Let this story serve as a warning to all buyers: always check TrueCar.com for accurate pricing, and never sign a contract until you’ve meticulously inspected the vehicle for any issues.

Awful service department, rude manager

Sales department was great. Service department is awful. I made an appointment over the phone to have my U Connect device updated. Over the phone, the rep asked me if I would be dropping the car off or waiting on the car. I specifically told her I’d be waiting. I get to my appointment and was told I had to leave it for 24 to 48 hours. Okay, if that’s the policy, I get that, but when I made the appointment that information was not provided. Aside from that, a software glad on a U Connect is a 15 minute process. I live an hour away, so this was a major inconvenience. I talked to the service manager and have never encountered a ruder individual in a customer service position. Needless to say, they have lost a customer for life. Back to Bill Bryan Dodge where they are up front about service expectations and always polite.

This place is a nightmare

This place is a nightmare. I brought my car in because I had trouble getting it to start. My regular mechanic said it was electrical, and said the dealer should be able to pinpoint it quickly.I had an appointment for Tuesday at 9:30am. They didn't even start looking at it until Thursday. They told me they couldn't replicate the problem, but it was likely the fuel pump, and recommended it replaced. I asked if they were sure it was the fuel pump and not electrical, they said absolutely, so I okayed the $1800 repair. They told me to come pick it up, and literally as soon as I got it home, it wouldn't start again.I made another appointment, dropped it off on Tuesday. I showed them video and sent it to them via email of the problem. They didn't look at it until Thursday, and said they couldn't replicate the problem. This is where it gets fun. I asked them then if they'd buy it. They transferred me to sales, who said when they plugged it in, so many problems showed up that it would be too expensive to repair and sell, so the best they could do was offer me $1,000 and sell it at auction. Remember, the service department told me no codes were popping up and it was fine.At that point, the red flags were just waving around, so I said I would just pick the vehicle up. I drove it right to another shop.I emailed the dealer explaining the above and asking for a refund. Brian Jessler called me back and said I needed to bring it in for a third time. When I said I was uncomfortable because of the many reasons listed above, he said there was nothing he could do for me reimbursement wise since there's no proof of a problem.

Great communication and attention to…

Great communication and attention to detail through a not so fun process. When our Jeep Grand Cherokee broke down, it had to be brought to Napleton for a repair under a CarShield Warranty. The team at Napleton was amazing. They not only took care of the repair, but helped us navigate through all the issues with Car Shields request after request. We found their communication, attention to detail and perseverance with the warranty group to be above and beyond expectations.

Oscar Cabello was the easiest Sales…

Oscar Cabello was the easiest Sales Associate our family has ever worked with. I highly recommend scheduling your appointment for a visit with him! From the time our appointment started, to the test drive, and finalizing paperwork, he kept our concerns as his first priority. His attentiveness to our questions and following up within minutes with answers was impeccable. Between the exceptional service with Oscar, and the guarantee on our sale with Napleton, we now will have our new Jeep in just a few days, compared to waiting months for a custom build to come in with another dealership. Thank you Napleton CDJR for making our family your 'family'.

Walked in to buy an X5 that was being…

Walked in to buy an X5 that was being advertised for $29,500. Took a test drive and the car was great, I already had financing through Capital One so I didn't have to deal with the finance department but, when I said that I was ready to buy the car they added $6,000 of other "stuff" on top of the price of the car including a "market adjustment" of about $4,000!!! I told them I wanted to buy the car in the ad for the advertised price but, they told me that the advertised price was a mistake and that they wouldn't sell the car at that price. I pulled up the ad on my phone, showed it to the salesman, and they didn't care. I spoke to the new car manager, General Manager, etc... they lowered their asking price a bit more but, it still didn't come close to their advertised price. So, I left. This is deceptive and false advertising. I wasted 4 hours in here. Now I hear that Napleton just settled a lawsuit with the government for 10 million dollars for doing just what they had been doing to me. I guess they haven't learned their lesson. I'll contact the Attorney general, lucky for me I took a picture of their offers/paperwork with the price on the car and I have a screenshot of the advertisement. These guys give even car salesmen a bad reputation, lol.

Deceptive advertising ....

Deceptive advertising and I will be contacting the Florida Attorney Generals Office. I set an appointment to see a 2014 Town and Country advertised for $14888. On the phone I asked if the price was firm or could I negotiate a better deal. The girl on the phone told me that I could absolutely negotiate a better deal. When I showed up for my appointment the following day the vehicle was brought around by the salesman, Oscar, and it was filthy with pet hair throughout and he explained it was a new trade. I said ok and proceeded to look over and test drive the vehicle. I informed Oscar that I would like to buy the vehicle if we can agree on terms. He went to the managers and came back with a price of $16751 + $1131 (accessories) + $899 Dealer Services + $199 Dealer Fee. NO ACCESSORIES had been installed on the vehicle and the price was nearly $2k higher than the advertised online price. Oscar told me that they had made some repairs to the vehicle so the price had increased. I asked for the Repair Order. It showed an oil change and new front and rear brake pads. I said why is it advertised at a price of $14888 and then $2k higher for repairs upon bringing into inventory. Oscar stated that the repairs were just completed so they added to the price. ($2k vs $1K) I informed Oscar that I saw that the RO had a closed date of 2/2 and today was 2/6. I informed him that I was displeased and felt this was deceptive selling. I told him I wanted to speak to the manager. He then said "I think I can get them to put the price back to the advertised price". I again requested the manager. The manager would not come out. I then asked for my keys. (they appraised a car which I would trade but did not need to trade) I also asked for the sales managers card and told Oscar to tell the manager that I would be filing a complaint with the necessary boards. He came back with my keys and no card. The manager was Jeff Dennen. He never came out to address my situation like a grown man should. Instead a different manager by the name of Abraham came to me and asked if he could do anything for me and was willing to work the deal himself. I was not happy so I told him "no thank you". I went home, cooled down, and my wife told me to give them another chance. I went back and met with Abraham. He lowered the selling price to the advertised $14888 but still had $1131 fee attached to it. I asked what that was and he stated it was tire and wheel protection and maintenance. He told me a story about how it worked out for a customer of his who blew a tire and damaged a wheel. I told him that I was not interested in that service and just wanted to buy the van. He stated that he would call a manager higher up with him to request the removal of the extra insurance. He came back with a print out of their "back end screen" showing a $5k loss for them and tried to make me believe that was real. A fresh trade in with an extra $1k in insurance and they wanted me to believe they were losing that much. The only way that could be true is if they had paid $20k for the van on a trade in which any educated member of society could see that as an impossibility. Oscar was nice but not completely forthright, or gave answers he was unsure about. Oscar was very kind but he screwed up my perception of him during my second chance visit and trying make me believe they would be losing $5k if they removed the unnecessary insurance from the deal. As for Jeff Dennen, I do not have any words other than he should not be in a leadership position if he cannot face a challenge and is unwilling to address a dissatisfied customer. BTW I wasted a good 4 hours of my life today with a dishonest dealer. I am interested to see if the Attorney General will pay them a visit.

"Napleton Chrysler Clermont Florida"

"Shopping on the Internet I found a used Lincoln Navigator I was very interested in. I called Napleton Chrysler in Clermont, Florida where it was located. I asked for additional details and was asked if I would like to make an appointment to test drive. I was happy to make an appointment and thought I was all set.The drive is over an hour away and the wife and I arrived on time. As the wife and I were looking at the red Navigator on Napleton's car lot, a salesman came upon us quickly. The salesman was not friendly and seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. He never asked our names and I had to politely ask for his name, Shawn I believe. He stated if you are planning to finance, no bank will finance this vehicle for you since it has over 100,000 miles on it. I knew the salesman wasn't telling me the truth. Greenway Chrysler Dodge Orlando offered me a financed deal on a 121,000 mile vehicle with Chrysler Capital. I asked the Napleton salesman how much cash down would I need to secure this used vehicle? He stated it doesn't matter how much cash down you have no bank will finance you for a vehicle over 100,000 miles and I already said that. What if I traded my 2015 Dodge Caravan in? No. It won't matter and we don't have any other vehicles like this. None, I said. I realized he didn't want to sell the Navigator to me with his cold shoulder attitude. I said well I guess that is that. With that he walked away. The Napleton Salesman never asked me if I was interested in any other SUV. There were a number of used full size Jeeps and Rams I would of liked to see. He also could of said, well since you and your wife made the trip up here how about I show you something else. He just walked away leaving us standing there like unwanted uninvited guests. This was a very humiliating experience. We felt slighted, treated rudely, disrespectfully, and extremely unprofessional big league by Napleton Chyrsler Clermont. That was Sunday. I was called by another salesman later that Sunday who apologized to me and said we should of never been treated that way, it's not how we do business here. Parker said the other salesperson did lie to me about the bank financing and should of never said that. I said the first impression is the most important. He begged me to come back up to take a test ride in the 2007 red Lincoln Navigator and give Napelton another chance. I agreed to do that and told him Monday I have a in-patient hospital visit and will be available first thing Tuesday. Parker agreed and once again he apologized for the way the other salesman had treated the wife and I and wanted badly to make that up. Tuesday early I received a phone call from Napleton Chrysler Clermont that the 2007 Lincoln Navigator was just sold and don't bother to make the trip. I said this whole experience was extremely disappointing. Parker said in return, "at least I had the courtesy to call you. Would you rather drive all the way up here then find out it was sold?" I said I was there two days ago to make the deal and was turned away. Parker stated I can't be responsible for other salesmen. So there you go. What's the point in arguing. Obviously they were holding the 2007 Navigator for someone else as a favor or had another person in mind or perhaps the salesman wanted it for himself, I don't know. Not a happy ending at all. Before moving to Florida I was warned there are plenty of scams in this state that come in all shapes and sizes. Us being seniors, we must be careful. A new car dealership is a new one for me. Never ever again Napleton Chrysler Clermont. The only recipt I have is the email confirmations from Napelton...:Dear Joe,Thank you for setting time aside with me on 06/20/2017 at 2:00 PM.If anything changes with your schedule, please call at (855) 722-2827 or email me and I would be happy to set a better date for you to come into our location to go over all of your options. When you arrive, be sure and ask for me or the General Manager.
