I would like to write this honest review about the Orbea Gain D40 Tiagra Electric Road BikeI noticed this bike EV and also noticed an offer of £2199. The bike is interesting as the ride is very firm. However, this is not a problem but may be if you need a softer ride (Bumps in the road)The bike came but I needed to part ensemble the bike. I would strongly recommend you have two people or a bike stand as this can be difficult in terms of man overing and tightening the parts.Before the bike arrived, I purchase some copper slip £3.20 Amazon and some expensive chain lubricant ( Best to start on a good footing)I used the copper slip to lightly lubricate the threads of the small bolt holding the bake pads. Does not have any effect on the brakes but if you do not it can be very difficult to remove once salt and crime enters the threads.I removed the bolt first then lubricated. It is very simple ,screwdriver and long nose plyers to first remove the clip on the bike calipers. Trust me it is very simple. (As mentioned, if you leave it and the bolt and it gets rusty then this would be a major problem.)I also used the copper slip on the threads of the bake nuts. Again, simply remove one nut, lubricate assemble then remove second nut. Size 17 mm spanner for nutsIf you have puncture in the rain etc this will make's things easy to remove.You will need a good set of allen keys This is must as you will use them all. 6 mm allen key is used to remove the front wheel bolt which then removes the wheel. Again, I removed the front wheel and lubricated the bolt with copper slip grease.In regards to the chain, because it was new I lubricated the pins with the expense lubricant. (Best to spend £12 or more for the very best you can buy as all is new and clean.)I found the app better on the phone to monitor the bike and it registered the bike when you connect. Takes a bit of time. Switch on the bike load the app and search in the app. Connect which highlights your X35 motor.Again takes a few goes at my age. The computer monitor on the bike X35 is still not 100% and I cannot find out how to show the readings. I pair as per instructions but as yet never managed to be 100% successful.(Take care, the end stoppers on the handlebars fall out.) I found this out on yesterday’s ride as the grip for the stoppers is very poor. (Orbea please have a look at this)I glued one in with superglue the other side I attached a small mirrorThe power is good but sometimes it is difficult to remember which power you are in as the orange middle for examples goes out and you need to press twice to go the red the the same for green low level.I did look at the Ribble bike which to be fair was the same as the Orbea. However, the Orbea was £2199 and Ribble £3700. But the bikes are the same in terms of X35 motor, weight etc.So, shop a round. There was only one bike shop that had this price all the other Orbea shops mentioned out of stock or was £3200.The seat is good but can be hard so you may wish to change. The bike does not come with pedals so you need to order them with the bike which you need to assemble if online. Very simple.In general, the bike was good and no real issues. As a tip I use Orange de- grease to remove the dirt on the bike as well as a sponge and hot water. The Orange de -greaser works out cheaper if you purchase a 5 lt bottle and put into a small bottle with trigger.You can buy this Screw fix, Amazon etcThe Muck off products works out expensive.ThanksRay

The bike is amazing but getting the bike to the UK took 4 months. Orbea please just tell customer and realistic delivery date and most would be ok

Orbea Terra 2026 - Compliance and Comfot
I purchased the new Orbea Terra 2026 frame at my LBS through the MyO platform, where I could decide on my own color scheme. This was a great experience. My LBS built up the frame as a custom build. Orbea and my LBS did a great job. And the first two rides were a blast. The frame is excellently built, it smoothes out the terrain and you have a relaxed position on the bike. These two elementa guarantee long rides in the saddle without feeling exhausted. Great job by Orbea.

Faulty Shimano system
The ordering process was great. The bike was shipped to the shop for assembly quickly. The bike however, is randomly powering down at random intervals. At this time, it’s not clear what’s causing the issue although it’s probably the drive unit the battery or the battery harness. I’m obviously disappointed to have spent so much money on a bike that is not rideable. The bike is now back in the shop and I don’t know how long it’ll be before I’ll have it back. Super disappointing experience.

The shop owner was very helpful here in Japan. We had some questions that he didn’t know so he called Orbea Japan and we got all the answers. The delivery of my bike was delayed but I was happy to wait, because I wanted to have it done properly. I bought two bikes and both are absolutely fantastic. One is Orbea Terra and the other is Wild M10.

My wife purchased a new Orbea Orca…
My wife purchased a new Orbea Orca about 15 years ago. Subsequently we purchased her a Bianchi road bike, and about 4 years ago an Pinarello electric road bike with a hub motor. She always loved her Orca the most so she used the MyO site to order a Denna in just the colors she wanted. She loves her Denna. Stable, comfortable and great power from the Shimano motor.

Orbea MX 20 Team Great 20" kids bike
I bought Orbea MX 20 team disc bike just before Christmas 2025 for my 7yo son.The bike looks great and he loves to ride it.Good specification too, brakes, gearing, tyres etc, everything fine.The only one thing that sees to be not at the level of the rest of the components, is the semi-integrated cockpit, because the handlebar is on the narrow scale (just 550mm), and it's 22mm thick at the grips, so a little bit thicker for a kid.Is not a major issue, my son rides it well, but I'm planning to replace it with a Funn cockpit kit for children (handlebar, stem and grips).

Great experience! I loved the website and the fact that I was able to customize my bike (love the colour choices). My local bike shop (Liberty Cycle) gave me top personal service and fitted the bike to my specs. The bike was ready and delivered well before I had anticipated. Very happy customer and I just need the snow to go away so I can get out there and enjoy the ride.
