Complete lack of communication when changes to your EWA are made. These apps will also get you into trouble when relied on too heavily. Not worth it, and you can't transfer money off your Payactiv Card to an external bank account. Ultimately closed this account along with the bank card.

Setting Up A New Account.
I hadn't had a PayActiv account in about 5 years, I was trying to reactivate my old account for my new employer but it wasn't working. I contacted support via email and support instructed me to call customer service. I did and Jared Lee is the service agent that assisted me. Jared was absolutely fabulous! He was very patient and stayed on the line with me to ensure that my new account was up and ready to go. So I had a great experience and my issue was resolved quickly and professionally. Thank you Jared Lee!

For a company whose office is in Nashville TN, NO ONE who answers calls sounds anything like some in Tennessee. The ones who answer don't listen. I was finally able to resolve my issue. However, my experience with calls I received from Payactiv regarding verification, then calls to CSR resulted in very poor clarity and even when you stated it to the representative, the result was the same. All representatives were nearly impossible to understand except the final one I reached, who resolved my issue. Requests during calls to escalate my call to a United States based representative were ignored or denied, and I believer one person lied when I asked if she was based in the United States. Because my issue was resolved, my rating goes from 1 to 2 stars. Payactiv needs to address their customer service. Cutting corners does not make customers happy when calling.

Don't use payactiv card
Ive used payactiv for several years. They tend to change things up occasionally. My biggest complaint is the dispute department. Ive disputed 2 charges on the 6 years ive been with them. One was last year and one this year. The reps in that department are very rude and not very reliable. My disputes were legitimate, but when payactiv reps called me to discuss, I was called a liar which is very unprofessional and was denied the credit. I sent an email complaining about the whole experience and no one ever got back to me. I had another dispute different company. The agent from payactiv called me over and over 5 times in a row. I finally answered... and said I was at work could he call back and he said I should try to talk to him now since he was calling about the dispute. He called the company I was disputing with to verify my story. I was on the phone for about an hour, missing time and money from my job. The company verified my story and the payactiv agent said I wouldn't get a credit because I didn't ask the company I paid if they would refund me before I made the payment! Very unprofessional and not even a valid reason to deny it. This was weeks ago and I haven't seen any formal denial and ive called payactiv and asked for a call back, no call.I don't recommend using their card because the customer service is horrible and it's difficult to get money off the card anyway. Too many other prepaid cards out their with better service.Edit: changed to one star because payactiv agent called again today with metro pcs on 3 way for the second time. I asked why and the agent couldn't even give a straight answer. Eric is the payactiv dispute agent and he was the agent I had on my first dispute last year who basically called me a liar. The entire call was so stressful and payactiv agents don't really care. They aren't American so I'm not surprised they don't know anything about good customer service.

So I was having a hard time BUT
So I was having a hard time, the app went down and me and my family depended on it, especially on our off, Pay weeks – – I went through several employees but somehow got disconnected from all of them, but they were not helping. AARON T was the person that I got last and without any hesitation, he fixed my problem in less than five minutes where the others just dragged on and on asking me question after question.. whoever this guy’s boss is let me tell you, he needs a promotion because he is excellent. He is an angel, and he talked to me like I was a human being and was so helpful. He literally changed my life today, so for anyone out there doubting … yes, there are good people in the world and Aaron T is one of those who works with Payactiv!-happy and loyal customer for 2 years now.

App doesn't work 99% of the time.
Ive had the app for almost a month. It won't show me any statements or deposits. Won't load anything except my balance and it will only do that after I have closed everything else on my phone and opened the app like 3 times. Every time I get into the app it says error has occurred. I tried to call for help on fixing my app and they were no help. I was cut off multiple times and they told me after I had explained 3 times that they didnt get what the problem was.
