If you are reading this because you ordered from plumbingsuppliesdirect.co.uk, didn't receive an email confirmation, and are worried you’ve been scammed: Don't panic!I had the exact same experience, but my product did eventually arrive. While the lack of communication is concerning, the business appears to be legitimate. That said, I am unlikely to order from them again
Ordered for next day delivery. Item arrived early next day. Well wrapped and exactly what I expected. Can't fault this service.
I made the order and paid for Saturday delivery. After ordering I did not receive a confirmation email, so I then started to think the worst and resigned myself just to write it off. However, the parcel turned up on Saturday midday, contents well wrapped and contents exactly as I ordered. So a positive experience with this company and I'll use them again. Note I'm talking about Plumbing Supplies Direct, there are some very similar names out there.
Wish I had read the reviews before ordering, no delivery tried phoning multiple times no answer. Someone phoned 2 weeks after the order was placed saying DPD couldn't find my address, said they were going to resend still nothing 2 weeks later. I've had packages from DPD every other day since then. Went to the "warehouse" it's a laundrette in Hemel Hempstead. No response to emails, phone calls and text messages.
Terrible service. Wrong parts sent and no reply to my email after 7 days to rectify problem.
Wow! Ordered in the afternoon on Tuesday and fitted Wednesday morning! While I am not a fan of their own brand and advocate of one single standard in plumbing for all I am impressed with speed of service! At least new filter comes with spare set of o-rings! That will last a bit!
No delivery...No response £68.99 down. Ordered and paid for a water heater on 30 th September. Ringing every day, both numbers go to answer machine. Clear a ConMan!! Looks like I'm off to trading standards. This wants shutting down asap judging by the other reviews. Can you tell I'm really angry 😡😡😡
Bought an item online & when it arrived was not the item ordered. Sent the item back in accordance with the returns policy. A month later, with me chasing i have received 2 replies stating that Vaillant are inspecting it which is what the delay is. Now 2 months in, they have stopped replying to my emails and have not refunded me. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM
I ordered XL fire cement but was sent Vitcas instead. Okay, maybe it's good, but I've had rubbish fire cement before now and I settled on XL because the consistency is good. It's for later in the year so I won't know until I've opened it. The delivery was quick and the price okay but what I got isn’t actually what I ordered!
Have used them before via Ebay 6 or 7 years ago so purchased via website this time. Had a bit of doubt reading the reviews having already ordered. But purchase was delivered via Royal Mail in 3 days which is a great outcome for any retailer. Disconcerting that there isn't any confirmation email, or Royal Mail delivery email, but it arrived and was correct which is all that maters.
ordered a electrolytic descaler & a magnetic descaler was delivered. upon contact no explanation given as to how to return it at their expense or deliver the correct item. asked for refund & no reply. this seems to be common with other reviews. in 7 days time i will process a credit card refund.
DPD left £150 parcel outside doorstep even after I requested it to be put in green bin. Parcel went missing and this joke of a company said they will chase up and just stopped replying to emails and calls completely. Looking at other reviews here I can see this is not uncommon with them
I have ordered a pump from this company on the 28/01/2025 and cancelled my order before was delivered and asked for a refund on the same day. I was told it will be processionals with 3-5 working days. I was going away for a few weeks so didn't check my credit card statement. Mid March I have checked my credit card statement and noticed that the refund has not been process.So, I call them up and spoke with someone and I have been told it will be process later that day. Now end of June 2025 still no refund. I manage to speak with someone today who said it will check with the accounting department and call me back in 5-10 minute.It has been 3 hours and no one has called back neither responded to my calls or emails anymore.Decided to raise a claim with my credit card as this merchant is untrustworthy.AVOID THEM.
If I could give 0 I would . I ordered plunger, got a completely different item. Sent few emails - no reply. Called few times and finally managed to speak to someone who promised to send the right item the next day. It had been over a week and I am still waiting. Avoid this company ! Really bad customer service… basically lost money as I have no faith if I call again this will be resolved.
can't give zero stars. AVOID these scammers. Ordered a pipe cutter from them from the web showing in stock and delivery in 3 days.couple of weeks later Nick emails me telling me they don't actually have stock, do I want a refund. I asked for a refund but still haven't received it.They never answer the phone or replay to emails.
Great company. They offer shipping of small items as Royal Mail letters, with a significant saving on shipping costs for small orders.
This is always the case with great companies online. Not all the happy customers post their good experiences. Ignore the bad reviews; they are just from bitter people who are set out to destroy good companies because they are unreasonable and entitled. Please order with this company with assurance that they are great to deal with, and the products are 10/10.
Dreadful Company to deal withI must echo so many of the reviews below, looks good on the surface but terrible customer service.I ordered a Rothenberger ultimate soldering kit in Mid Jan 2025, most of the kit arrived but missing 3 items.I have been chasing the balance of the order ever since without any success.Advised initially out of stock and a due date, due date passed and no goods.I then chased again, and they just stopped responding, nothing for weeks despite numerous e-mails chasing.I have now resorted to a section 75 charge back via my credit card company, and contemplating referring them to Trading Standards.This type of theft by deception can’t be allowed to continue, you have messed with wrong guy on this.Update 21st March 2025I decided that I would pursue this to the bitter end and did a section 75 charge back via my credit card provider, as they are jointly liable when you make a purchase using a Credit card. Yes, it was time consuming filling out forms and gathering the information required was tedious but why should Plumbing Supplies Direct get away with theft.Two months after placing the order I received the balance of the non-supplied goods.Not a word of apology or sorry. If you must order from them, use a Credit card as it does give some security that you will be supplied eventually.
AWOID! Ive never received my in line scale inhibitors.No moneys back as well... Looks like will have to take legal actions.
I placed an order for a thermostat. The following Monday, I received an email request that I review the company. I phoned them because I had NOT received the product I had ordered. I was asked for the order number - "it is on the confirmation email we sent you" - no confirmation email had been sent! The person who'd answered said I will look into this for you - then came back to me and said - "I'll have to investigate this further and call you back tomorrow" Tuesday I received no call. Phoned on Wednesday, "Oh we don't have this in stock - we MAY - be able to get it from somewhere - or we an cancel the order and give you a refund". I requested a refund and was told the refund would be processed that day, but it would take 3-5 days depending upon my bank. I may return to update this review if there is a delay in getting my refund. All in all ordering from this company has been a waste of my time.
