Hands-Free Note-Taking That Keeps Me Fully Present With Clients
Very easy to use way to record all kinds of conversations and situations. Makes it much easier to keep my head up and my eyes & ears engaging with my clients rather than taking notes while trying to keep the lines of communication open

Strange upselling
Strange upsellingWhen I signed up for rev.com's basic plan for myself and a colleague, I thought I was able to access 2400 minutes of AI transcription per month between the two of us.While that is true, in the fine print of the contract I agreed to (not on the overall description of the plan on the website), I was apparently told that I can only use their transcription editor on the rev.com platform for the first 90 minutes of any meeting. Strangely, for my plan, the platform does generate a complete transcript of any recording. So, I can download the transcript and then edit it in Word or upload the transcript into another AI platform to do editing or analysis. So why have this very strange limit which is only going to encourage me to go off their platform?Apparently, Rev.com has discontinued the current account plan tier I am on in favor for a pricier one. Again, if you look at the parameters of the next priced tier, it doesn't say anything about a per meeting transcription editor limit on the website (though, again, it might be in some fine print somewhere.) In asking customer service about this, I wasn't given rapid answers in a way that would make me confident given the prior bait and switch (though perhaps covered up by a fig leaf somewhere in an agreement I signed) I had experienced. While the transcription service itself is good, and I appreciate the security features of rev.com, this pettiness and lack of transparency (would it have been so hard to put a line on the webpage explaining limits to the transcription editor?) make me question the commitment they have to their customers.

The best transcripts ever
The best transcripts ever. Well done, and the AI summaries are terrific and quite useful. A little pricey, but well worth it.

I think Rave is a good performer but its interface is not very user friendly and the free source is not very useful, everything else is also average.

Virtually no room for customer mistakes
As a freelance writer and editor, I have been using Rev for close to 10 years. I find the service exceptionally swift and accurate. A cautionary note, though: Make certain you upload the correct file every time; canceling it and getting a refund is virtually impossible. I recently mistakenly uploaded a Zoom audio file, instead of the video file, of a roundtable discussion of 4 people. Unless only two people are on a call, the speakers on audio files typically cannot be identified accurately beyond "Speaker 1," "Speaker 2," etc. Only the video files, which clearly ID each speaker by name, can be accurately ID'd for the transcriptionist. I quickly realized my mistake and attempted to cancel the order within a minute or so. Unfortunately, according to the customer service rep I spoke to, the window for cancellation is "very small," as each order is claimed extremely quickly by their transribers. Consequently, she said she could not cancel the order or grant a refund. This made it vastly more difficult for me to attribute quotes to the correct person in many cases. As I said, I'll continue to use the service, but this has left a bad impression, and so I've dinged Rev one star. If I find a viable alternative I will consider jumping ship.

I use ALL THE TIME now. I’m spoiled
I love using Rev and I use it more and more with each success. It saves me time. Not only are the notes far more accurate than taking my own but the recording gives me the assurance that later there is no debate about what was said.Having a transcript and a summary of the highlights almost instantaneously is amazing.

Yap Catcher par Excellence
The high speed return of my recorded mp3 as written transcipt made my job so much more fluid-my interlocutor tended to blab like an Adderal laddie so taping him I caught the yappity yap and minutes had it back to me and I could rip it down to size and sende pronto. Love you and the AI was fast and cheap and adequate even though i do prefer the human touch. Thankyou Rev

Grant Writer who highly recommends!
I have been using REV for a couple of years now. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to receive fast, effective, transcripts and recordings for the following reasons:I write grants for nonprofits and in that process interview people in the nonprofit to acquire needed information. When they share their passion for a project they say many things that I want to replicate in the grant but could never write them down quickly enough so I started using our REV to record our conversations to capture their exact wording which made my writing much more effective.REV delivers the transcribed documents very quickly. The transcription is mostly accurate. However, if there are words or sentences that my microphone didn’t capture well enough, I had the luxury of also listening to the audio using REV. I also love the addition over this past year of the AI summary. Sometimes I can’t see the forest for the trees and the AI summary provides very well stated and impactful messaging that I also have used in the grants.Recently one of my interviews did not record which was really devastating because we have to redo the interview. I contacted REV thinking it was something on their end. The customer service person got back to me very quickly and recommended that I check the settings on my system. It seems that in one of the latest Microsoft updates they muted my microphone! I do not love the software updates when they alter my settings! Anyway, the recommendation that the REV Customer Service person made fixed the problem I was having which was not with the REV application.I would highly recommend subscribing to this application.

Working as subtitle translator for 5+ years now.Rev.com is slowly, but steadily improving. One thing I like the most about working with Rev.com is that their payment is weekly made, almost on time.

I've been with Rev for 8 Years and Still Going Strong
I've been with Rev as a Revver offering captioning services for nearly 8 years. I have always been treated fairly and have had pleasant interactions whenever I needed to contact them with questions.Rev is my sole source of income and I work full time as a contracted worker. I love the user-friendly software that is always improving, and I like the fact that everything I do goes through Rev and they handle all customer inquiries. It simplifies my job so I can just concentrate on captioning videos.I also like the variety of videos from educational lectures, to movies, interviews, YouTube videos, etc. I gravitate toward the outdoor industry since I come from a hunting and fishing family, so there is definitely not a lack of variety and interests offered on Rev. I can favorite these videos so I can target what I like to work on.There are ebbs and flows of seasons. Summer and holiday seasons usually tend to be slower because customers are out of their offices, but not YouTubers and industries like sports, typically, so the workflow is always present.I would recommend Rev to anyone who is looking for work and is self-disciplined and can work alone without supervision. The grading system is there to aid in helping us improve and I have learned a lot from graders. Just implement changes and review the style guide to refresh. I see so many positives to working for Rev. I spend zero money for gasoline, I spend zero money to go eat out on a lunch breaks, I spend zero time on the road in traffic jams. I just need an internet connection and my computer. It really is that simple. In conclusion, when I first started with Rev, I was afraid to start my first project. I remember getting an email from a Rev Team member who encouraged me to start. For months, I just worked on very small projects until I gained the confidence to do more. My husband was, and still is, in the background encouraging me to do more. Now, years later, my goal is no longer $10 a day, but as close to $100 a day as I can get. Can you make money on Rev? Absolutely. But for me, it's more about taking care of a customer's file and considering who and what is behind the project you're working on.For customers, I encourage you to try Rev. If you've been away, come back. There are long-time Revvers who want you to come back. In a busy world, it's easy to put things aside, but Rev really does offer the best services. They definitely have the best software and I see them as always wanting to improve. Rev is not a stagnant company, so give them a try.

My Experience with Rev.com
My Experience with Rev.com – Over 4 Years as an Independent ContractorI’ve been an independent contractor with Rev.com for over four years now, and it has been my main source of income during that time. I’m truly grateful to be part of a platform that has allowed me to work remotely and earn a living doing captioning work. Rev has provided me with opportunities to grow my skills, and for a long time, there was a steady stream of projects available. However, in recent months, I’ve noticed a significant drop in available projects. The queue has become increasingly dry, making it harder to rely on Rev the way I used to. While I understand that workflow can fluctuate, the lack of consistent projects has been challenging, especially for long-time contractors who depend on this platform for their livelihood.Despite this, I still appreciate the structure, user interface, and support that Rev provides. I hope that in the future, more projects will become available again, and that the platform continues to value its experienced contractors who have been loyal through the ups and downs.
