5 star hotel 1 star service
I rarely leave reviews, but my experience at Swandor in Antalya over the past week was so frustrating that I feel other travelers deserve to know the truth.First of all, the hotel advertises itself as a 5-star resort, but when it comes to service, it doesn’t even reach the level of 1 star. The biggest issue during my stay was the so-called “taxi service” they provide. The prices are absolutely outrageous – completely disconnected from reality and way above what you would normally pay in Antalya. It feels like they are running a business on the side, squeezing as much money as possible out of the guests. The worst part, however, is the man who is supposed to be responsible for the taxi orders: Furkan. From the very beginning, he was rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. Every time I approached him with a simple question, his answer was either “I don’t know” or some dismissive remark. Imagine – his actual job is to manage taxis and give guests information, yet he never seems to know anything. And if you dare to ask him twice or challenge him in the slightest way, he completely loses control. He starts raising his voice, acting aggressively, and even shouting insulting words in Turkish. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also insulting to paying guests. To be honest, dealing with him ruined a big part of my holiday, because instead of feeling relaxed and welcomed, I constantly felt disrespected and treated with hostility.Swandor might have beautiful facilities, but a hotel is only as good as the people working there. When you are forced to deal with staff like Furkan and a ridiculous taxi service that only cares about money, it makes the whole 5-star image meaningless. My advice to anyone considering Swandor: think twice before booking. If the management takes guest experience seriously, they should urgently reconsider who they allow to represent their hotel at the front line of customer service. Until then, calling this place “5-star” is nothing but false advertising.

We had booked a 2 week stay at the hotel to hopefully experience a real 5 star getaway as advertised. We had been twice to turkey and stayed at Kaya Palazzo which is an amazing hotel and 5 Star. Unfortunately the swandor kemer falls very short of a 5 star experience. The rooms are okay but not overly inspiring especially if you are staring into another balcony opposite. The quality of the rooms and the lacklustre attention to detail was evident, this was a trend throughout the entire stay.(pics provided). The Pool, well a bun fight with the ridiculous idea of allowing people to put towels on beds all day and not use them. The Restaurant, after several evenings we decided not to bother as its like rush hour on the london underground, queues of people and overcrowding at times was horrendous.Breakfast, normal hotels you are offered a hot drink once seated, not here. Staff walk around not really knowing there tasks while managers seemingly walking around and oblivious to failings as they were always on there mobile phones never looking at service or there team.Very little consistency with service at all and a lack of micro management here with staff quick to clear plates but offering nothing else. The Patisserie, disappointing as it offers pretty much the same cakes as the restaurant. Previously we had experienced a very different patisserie offering cakes and sandwiches which made it very unique from the normal restaurant and ding facilities, not here. The same cakes and ice cream! Non branded. The Bars were as they should with branded drinks. All in all a very disappointing holiday which we look back on with sadness and regret we did not go elsewhere. My observations and opinions are my own and a reply by the hotel to this posting will not change them.A 1 star review is given as a 0 star is not available.

This hotel is absolutely HORRIBLE
This hotel is absolutely HORRIBLEI emailed them again and again to confirm my booking over a period of 2 months and they never replied.A month before my trip they replied and said I have no booking. I had 3 emails confirming my booking. They then cancelled my booking made 5 months before without giving a reason.I texted them using WhatsApp but they never replied.I called them long distance and selected the English option. Was placed on hold for 30 minutes with a message playing over and over again in Turkish. So much for the English option. Then a lady came on that did not speak English. What a joke for a hotel and customer serviceSwandor, you are terrible. You ruined a very special romantic trip for me and cost me thousands of dollars.I hope you go out of business.Shame on you.

Very disappointing about management , guest relationship desk . Not welcome properly . Room is not all that . nice pool and beach but staff are not friendly. Very disappointed about transport service. Hotel had a contact with local taxi company "Kundu taxi " and scammed people with a fixed rate . they don't want to operates meter . Force us to use their taxi where on meter you can travel only for less than £20.00 but they charge £55.00 as a fixed rate . Hotel get commission from them . very vey poor customer service. never recommended.

Not a 5*
We arrived at Swandor in Antalya late evening on the 21st June. On arrival we were greeted by 5 porters and a warm welcome. On first impressions we were happy. We were escorted to our room with our bags. Kids loved there room especially with it having their own mini fridge. To start with the positives:Great slides for both adults and kids.Lovely building and surrounding gardens. The beach was really nice. Negatives:Glass around poolsRude staff, (over worked and lack of staff)Pool bar floor was a constant hazard because of water on the floor. Carrying glasses back & forth meant you had to he extremely careful not to slip.Cleaning was an issue in our room, 10 days of same bed sheets, smashed glass left on our balcony floor for a week. ( cleaner definitely didn't clean outside) The most important part of your holiday is food, we where extremely disappointed. Every night was the same food. Compared to other 5* I've stayed at this had to be the worst in terms of food. If you want a decent a meal then turn up at 7-30pm it's meant to be open until 9pm. We went down with the kids at 8pm on wards, and there was nothing left. Literally nothing, you had to search for a table, then had to set your own table due to lack of staff attending to service the tables. We then had to search for cutlery, then go and find what ever food was left. This made evening times more stressful than enjoyable. If your expecting table service then think again, you have to get these yourself. My advice is you tip a couple of waiters on an evening so you get better service. There was a lovely waiter we met called Ismile ( think that's how you spell it). Live music was good on a 3 occasions. The Entertainment could be better! I think they need more day time acitivies for all ages. Would I stay again? Absolutely not. If you want 5* then go to Melas Antayla.

Review of Swandor Hotel
As a well-traveled individual who frequently stays at 4 to 5-star hotels, I had certain expectations upon arriving at Swandor. My first impressions were largely positive; the reception area was clean and tidy, and the building itself is beautiful with well-maintained grounds. However, the experience took a turn upon entering the rooms. The bathrooms appeared dated, and the beds were far from comfortable, indicating that some parts of the hotel could use a touch-up.The service was a mixed bag. While the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive, the reception staff left much to be desired. Despite informing them that it was both my birthday and wedding anniversary, there was no acknowledgment of the occasion—not even a welcome drink or a small gesture like a cake. The hotel’s restaurant is definitely a highlight, deserving of its 5-star rating with a great variety of dishes. The pool and beach areas are also commendable. However, be prepared for numerous additional charges: €160 for beach cabanas, €50 per person for the hammam spa, and €25 for a 10-minute taxi ride.A particularly unpleasant experience was dealing with guests smoking in the neighboring room. Despite reporting this issue twice, the situation escalated on our last night, forcing us to change rooms at 1 AM. The lack of sleep and subsequent exhaustion the next day were compounded by the staff’s indifferent response, offering only a 3-hour extended check-out and then charging €30 per additional hour.Overall, while the food and drinks live up to the 5-star standard, the hotel itself and the overall experience align more closely with a 4-star rating. The numerous extra charges and lackluster service in key areas make it difficult to fully recommend.I hope this captures your experience accurately!

Disappointing experience little care
During our recent 14-day stay at Swandor Hotels and Resorts Topkapi Antalya, we were extremely disappointed with the overall experience. Despite our expectations of a luxurious getaway, the reality fell far short. From the outset, it was evident that the hotel's claims on their homepage were misleading. The promised luxury amenities and activities were simply not delivered. Instead, we were left to entertain ourselves with board games and sporadic live music that predominantly catered to Russian tastes. This monotonous routine left us feeling frustrated and unfulfilled.Seeking resolution, we approached the manager, but to our dismay, our concerns were met with indifference. It was clear that they lacked genuine care for guest satisfaction, leaving us feeling unheard and disheartened. Before our arrival, we had inquired about the inclusion of the New Year celebration. However, to our disappointment, we were unexpectedly asked to pay an additional charge to attend the gala. This blatant inconsistency further soured our experience, as it contradicted what we were initially led to believe.Additionally, we had an alarming incident on our second day while enjoying the beach. We witnessed hotel staff disposing of leftover breakfast items into the sea, resulting in us swimming amongst floating bread. When we expressed our concerns, we were met with a flimsy excuse suggesting that it was a cruise ship dumping the bread. However, as eyewitnesses, we know for certain that it was the hotel's actions. This blatant disregard for environmental and guest safety was deeply unsettling.Furthermore, the hotel staff's service was consistently slow, especially during the evening hours. It often required persistent shouting for assistance, making the dining experience more aggravating than enjoyable. On a slightly positive note, we must acknowledge that the rooms were nice, and we were fortunate to experience pleasant weather during our winter stay. Also the food was good.Regrettably, we must assert that the hype around Swandor Hotels and Resorts Topkapi Antalya as a luxury destination is far from true. Our experience was marred by false marketing claims, poor management, environmental negligence, and subpar service. We sincerely hope the hotel takes our feedback constructively and works towards improving the overall guest experience.

Scammer and not 5 star hotel
Cons:- Reception staff and management are not collaborative. They are scammers in case of asking them for booking date modifications - Customer relationship desk people are just a name , they do not help resolving issues of a customer- language issue with staffs - price is not worth the service ( not a 5 star hotel)

Not a 5-star resort!
- Most of the staff do not speak or understand English, which was a problem when trying to make them understand the concept of allergies. They do not go above and beyond to help, as you would expect from a 5- star hotel. They just do the bare minimum and hope that you don't notice!- My children have allergies. Guest relations gave me an allergen card and told me to use it to look at food labels and see which food they could eat. Not all the food items had labels with allergen numbers on. Sometimes the labels were placed with the wrong item!- Cross-contamination: kitchen staff were cooking food containing egg in same oil as food not containing egg. They were using same spoon for egg containing item and non-egg containing item. - There was a huge selection of food available, but mostly repetitive. - Children were touching fruit and dessert items and not taking them onto their plates. - Flies were flying over and sitting on uncovered fruits. - There was only one evening entertainment during our 5 day stay. - The overall cleanliness of hotel was not 5 star. Our room was never hoovered or floor cleaned. We were sometimes not given any extra toilet rolls. Just the one on the holder. There were glasses in communal areas left there for days. - The mattresses and pillows were too soft. It felt like they needed upgrading. We did not feel welcomed or valued. My child with allergies hated her experience, as she could only eat chips and sausage for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Won't be coming here again.

Swandor Topkapi Palace Resort Antalya
Pros:•Staff were friendly •A wide selection of food, not always the same•Big room (ours was a triple room with 1 double bed, 1 single and 1 sofa bed, which we used as a bed)•Spacious walk-in showerCons:•Not many of the staff spoke/understood English. •They do not understand the concept of allergies/cross contamination. My child has allergies. I was given a card with allergen numbers on to show kitchen staff. Kitchen staff did not know what the numbers represented. They had to call their supervisor or look up the numbers. This was time consuming. The nuggets that contained eggs were cooked in the same oil as the chips that did not contain egg. Luckily I did not have to administer an EpiPen on my child with a severe egg allergy! One of the handful of items she could eat was chips and that was being contaminated! We spoke to the restaurant chief (Adem Kocer) and the head chef. We devised a plan that Adem would always be present and I was to find him and tell him what my child wanted and that food would be cooked in the kitchen for my child and given to her. Due to the fear of having an allergic reaction, along with the fact that most of the items contained her allergens or staff didn’t know if it contained her allergens, she stuck to chips and sausage for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The chips used to take 20-25minutes to be cooked and brought to us, by which time the rest of us had eaten and my daughter had watched us eat. Adem was not always in the restaurant and I had to look for him or wait for him or another member of staff to come and help me. This would take up to 10 minutes each time for breakfast, lunch and dinner!•The fruits were uncovered and had fruit flies sitting on them.•Children were licking fingers and touching all the fruits and the dessert items. It would be a good idea to have staff stationed there to keep an eye on food hygiene. •Breakfast started at 7am but not all items were ready/cooked.•The food name labels with allergens were not there or put in the wrong place. •Our room had 4 people staying there. The cleaner would make 4 beds, but leave 3 towels! The didn’t clean the floor. •The overall cleanliness of the resort was not 5-star worthy. There were wine glasses on the window sill by the elevators on our floor for days and were still there when we checked out! The kids’ indoor play area was dirty.

I arrived at the swandor top palace…
I arrived at the swandor top palace lara beach 9th April for 10 days the hotel looked very nice as did the room and the complexI will say I do not believe this hotel should be graded as a 5 stars, I am not a beer drinking but my partner is an we were shocked to find that they only had 1 beer on draught EFES, if you want other beer (miller, Corona and heniken) it was available at 6 euros a bottle when it only cost £9.00 for 6 in the local super market (we did buy some from there), this was the same for things like Jack Daniels and Grey Goose Etc, all other drinks were free. There was not entertainment until the last few days, apparently its starts on the 16th April and the entertainment was not that good the best was on our last night they opened the club Xone this was amazing for all the family.House Keeping - on a few occasions late afternoon I had to asked guest relations if they could get house keeping clean our room even though we left the light on to say make up room and to be honest not once did they use a hoover, we had to ask for coffee and milk constantly, there was a empty toilet roll under the bathroom unit, I purposely left it there to see if it was cleaned and it was still there on our last morning. On the second day I had a packet of menthol cigarettes stole n from our room, i did not do anything about this but I guess they stole them because they are forbidden in turkey apparently, anyway roll on a few days and and I had my prescription Medication stolen, this is where guest relations come in.The night before me medication was stolen Guest Relations Manager William and Hasan (new bee) came and asked us to do a good review of the hotel and them as he had helped me we my daughter has prickly heat, we really felt pressured into do this my daughter and friends daughter included they even took our phones and started doing them for us, I deleted mine and my daughters the next day.Once I noticed my medication was gone I went to Guest Relations didn't get her name but she told me the staff wouldn't take anything and I must have moved them I explained that they had been in my bag up until evening before they had disappeared and they I had put then on the table, I told her what they were she said oh we have to investigate this then sent me a text to say they had my medication when I went to see her this was not the case and just point blank said we don't have them and the staff would not have taken them and I could get some more if I went to the hospital and pay for a evaluation and a prescription and I then to go to the chemist to get them not helpful, Guest relations I felt that they didn't care. The day before we were leaving I get a note posted through the door to go and pay my bill as my partner had has a few millers I thought it was that but no they presented me with an invoice all in Turkish. I was told I had to pay £76.00 for damages to duvet and duvet covers, pillows and towels I asked them for proof they showed me a photo of bedding on the floor which they said had blood on it, but I was sure this was not my room, they said it was and if I didn't pay they would call the police I paid and went out to ask my daughter, partner and cousin, I went back to reception with my cousin and asked for the invoice to be translated it had a different room number to ours when I said this isnt my room they then tried to tell me I had a 2 room which I didn't, they eventually refunded my money but no apology given nothing. On our departure day I had to pay for the millers they wouldn't even offer them as a good will gesture. I WOULD NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN, YOU WANT 5 STAR GOT THE ANOTHER HOTEL

Swandor was POOR! Don’t waste your time & money!
Kept having to go to reception to request anything. This was very inconvenient. The AC in our room intermittently stop. I found the beds very uncomfortable. Resort prices that were not inclusive were extortionate. Overall the experience was poor and not value for money!
