⚠️Tidy Electrics Ltd
The nature of the above business isn't just electrical, but construction of domestic buildings also. This is very concerning, as this man has no building qualifications at all. He is also on Birdeye.com, local businesses.co.uk, ratings plus.co.uk, Facebook, Google, X and LinkedIn.We paid him £5,275.00 for a new bathroom and a refurb of a shower room. He was sacked from the job, after the tiler had discovered, that the stud wall was seriously out of alignment. We had all of his work assessed and the following was found:Builders Defect Report:Badly fitted windows, misaligned & defective pipework, incorrect plumbing of a bath, shower and toilet. One window was too tight and the other was to small for the opening and there were no window sills! The plumbing connecting to the bath and shower tray, had just been rammed in. The shower tray had not been fitted properly and the waste pipe from the toilet, was at the wrong angle going through the wall. His defects cost us £1,785.85 to put right. In a letter to us he said "the work I carried out for you was acceptable, but for a couple of things" He also referred to the defects in his letter as "snags" He sent us invoices wanting to be paid for his work! We said no, who pays for defective work?We wish that we had never let this man into our home. It is wrong to do building work in someone's home and take their money. Knowing, that you have not been trained to do that particular work. We would never recommend Tidy Electrics Ltd for building work. When we come to sell our property. Should his defective stud wall lower the asking price. Then we will be seeking legal advice and will act, if necessary.A Building Surveyors report of the stud wall states:The wall is out of alignment by almost 4 inches and is not vertical. The report says that the basic checks were not done, at the time of constructing the wall. The surveyor said to us "a spirit level, has never been near this wall" To do the wall again, would cost £1,000 according to the surveyor. We have received no compensation for this stud wall. We went to the small claims court. But did not get all of the money back concerning the remedial work and our overpayments of £351.61 were never returned. We also never received any compensation back for the stud wall. He had verbally agreed, to sort that out separately, but he failed to deliver on that promise.
