My Tortoise Buying Experience Overall, I was satisfied with my tortoise buying experience from tortoismart. They had a nice, easy-to-navigate webpage and lots of tortoises to choose from with helpful descriptions and care info. The ordering process was very simple and I liked the secure payment methods they offer.My tortoise came healthy and well-packaged, with clear instructions for getting it used to his surroundings. They clearly take excellent care of their animals. However, communication during shipping, could have been more proactive—I had to reach out for updates.That said, the customer service team was responsive and resolved my concerns quickly. I would recommend TortoiseMart to anyone looking for a pet tortoise, especially for their variety and commitment to animal welfare.

I received my albino tortoise 🐢 last week and to crown it all they even delivered them in cage I never paid for . In addition, my babies arrived Lancaster PA in good health and my documents we also sent along side my albino tortoise 🐢🐢🐢 . I'm so happy and I appreciate your good work .

No stars deserved ! These guys are not family owned business they say they are ! Just a bunch of scammers taking peoples money 💰 . Don’t sent them money , don’t let their scam grow ! I sent the first payment. Then they say it didn’t go thru , and they never got confirmation of my payment , so for the inconvenience they offer to return that money when it went to and they would give me 50% off to send the next payment! I fell for it. Now they say the don’t have the right crates to send out the product like this was their first time shipping. And asking to send more money to get the right shipping container! **** that . Way too good to be true, my poor daughter will not be receiving her long awaited birthday gift 🎁 … and dads out of funds ….. to be continued…..

For anybody looking to buy a tortoise, ABSOLUTELY 100% DO NOT BUY FROM TORTOISE MART!!! I've been looking for a couple cherry head tortoises and I thought my luck had changed when I saw tortoise mart. (I love in Canada so breeders aren't too common). When I inquired about buying a couple of cherry heads it all seemed pretty normal. I asked them to reserve a couple tortoises for me while I got everything ready and they said they could, but I'd need a down payment which made sense. Btw this down payment was about $400 USD so about $600 CAD. So fast forward a week they say they need the second payment that day because somebody had come in and was about to buy all the cherry heads, which confused me because my down payment was to reserve a couple so I had no idea why this was even an issue, my payment should've secured them. After this I was really skeptical so I looked online and saw a bunch of reviews that were all 1 star, complaining about either the same thing I am or something similar. After this I asked for a refund and they said they'd contact their so called "finance team" and get me a refund. I should also mention that before this they tried to get me to send them the second payment even after I demanded a refund. Sending me email after email, sometimes 3 or 4 within an hour saying things like "are you there" and "we need that second down payment. This really threw me off and I knew it was a scam. They said I'd receive it within 2 weeks and if I didn't I should contact them. Then literally the next day they say the finance team couldn't refund me because and I quote "we found nothing wrong on our end so we can't give you a refund". They then proceeded to tell me that all the negative reviews written about them (literally like 7 or 8 just on this page, and a lot more I found when I did more research) were "their competitors trying to sabotage their image". I wish I did more research on these guys before I sent them a down payment, but let that be a lesson to anyone trying to buy from these SCAM ARTISTS. Please read reviews before you buy from these people, and I'm convinced the other reviews that are rated highly are fake. Please be smart out there and do your research before you buy something online, especially something as expensive as a tortoise. If I could give a 0 star rating I would, these people are frauds and it's a disgrace. I hope these guys get shut down.

Buyer Alert!!! This is literally a SCAM website! Never, ever make any payment to this website. They list their reptiles at low prices and ask for payments through zelle (Tameka Teague, tamekateague1300 at gmail.com). After you make a payment, they will send you a link to a fake shipping company called freight global shipping with fake shipping information (The shipping and delivery dates were all wrong). Then during the 'IN transit', a so called 'medical director' from shipping company will inform you the crate needs to be upgraded and ask for $700 deposit. They claim $650 will be refunded by CASH upon delivery, which doesn't make sense at all! What kind of delivery driver carry so much cash?! If you ask payment methods for the deposit, the guy gonna ask you to transfer money to a personal zelle account (named as Chris Morris, 7083512050) and they will use your love of your pet to urge you send money as soon as possible. If you contact the seller, he will say this is normal. The seller will ask you to send money either to the guy of the shipping company or to him and he can do the rest for you. What more ridiculous of these guys is that the contact phone number of the shipping company is a personal phone number! What kind of 'international shipping' company provide personal phone number as their service contact. Besides, it is written clearly on their website the animals will be shipped by FedEx or UPS, which is absolutely not true. You can't find the shipping company they 'use' by google, only through the link they provide. These guys just make all these up and rob money from people who want to have some lovely reptile pets. The seller I contact never leave his name in email. The name on the shipping track page is Sharene Doles. The address doesn't look like they have those animals there at all. They don't have any face, ins or other social media on their website and they copy a lot of information from other reptile sale websites. I hope some enforcements can see this and shut down their websites so no one will ever be scammed by these guys.

If I could leave zero stars I would. These guys are elaborate scammers. They will take your money, give you a fake tracking number with a link that takes you to a fake site. The effort they put into scamming people is quite astonishing. Please save yourself the hassle and Google reputable companies to buy from. Monica.

Definitely a scam! You cannot pay for the reptile through a reputable vendor (Big Red Flag). The only way to pay is instant cash transfer with no protection at all. Regardless of time zone, when you show interest, they’ll hit you up via text and try to get you to pay through a different email payment address. What company reduces the price by over $60 and starts texting you at 11pm… not a reputable one that’s for sure. Do your homework and avoid this at all costs. Get a shop or breeder with a very public profile on social media. You can’t go wrong with data and happy customers from multiple platforms.

I was told to send my payment to zelle and to send confirmation code after then they said what I sent was a scam and they would not send the turtle after it was paid. Then had another 100 taken out of my account today so people be ware they will steal your money

I ordered an Aldabra tortoise for $900 Thursday. My payment did not process on the site. I used the contact field & asked what I needed to do, to get the tortoise shipped to Georgia. Tortoise Mart responded w/ a text. I spoke w/ Howard Holt. He took down my address & asked me to send the $900 through CashApp. I asked how long it would take the tortoise to arrive & would the package have a heat pack because of the cold weather. Holt assured me that the tortoise would arrive overnight (Friday) and the heat pack would be included. Late that same night I was contacted by what seemed to be the airline shipping my tortoise. I was informed that the tortoise was being shipped in a very small ventilated package without a heat pack. The airline refused to send the tortoise if I did not send an extra $2k for a bigger crate, food, and vaccines. The extra fees were not communicated w/ me when I purchased the tortoise so I contacted Holt w/ Tortoise Mart & asked for a refund. He implied that he did now know of the extra fees either. He asked me to send him the emails I received from the airline, which he called an agency. After reviewing the info he pointed out that the fees were refundable. I asked Holt if he would be covering the extra fees. Holt said it was the buyer's responsibility. I restated that I wanted a refund because I didn't have the extra money to spend regardless if it's refundable and would like a refund. He told me to sort it out with the agency and stopped returning my texts. I have not received a refund.
