Tutoroo was able to help me secure genuine clients who desire to help their children or relatives improve in the learning of English. It has a user-friendly pre-paymenf option for the 1st 2 lessons as well as clear instructions for the payment of subsequent lessons. "I have two years of teaching experiance (sic)". Once again, Trustpilot does not adhere to its own policy and allows self-promotion on a website that is supposed to be reviewing the service provider. Tutoroo, of course, will be delighted with yet another 4-star "review" even though it says nothing about them.

platform is great, the teacher I found was great, however I was shocked to learn that Tutoroo collected the fee of four 1,5 hour classes from the teacher for the platform service. I agree that a good platform deserves a fair share of the revenue for the service, but a fair share in my estimation would be the fee of 1 or 2 one-hour classes, but definitely not four 1,5 hour classes.

SCAM! Avoid this platform
SCAM!Tutoroo does not honor its own policies. They promise tutors 50% payment if a student quits after two lessons, but in reality they don't pay. No support, no replies, no accountability. This platform exploits tutors and feels like a big scam. Stay away!!

Great platform but tutors need to be…
Great platform but tutors need to be vetted and feedback from students need to determine if tutors stay on the platform or not. My Dzongkha tutor started out great but then he didn’t show up for scheduled lessons. Told me he was travelling but didn’t say anything in advance and left me sitting there until I reached out to confirm the lesson. He had time to post his own UTube and Instagram videos though. Payment was very complicated. Had to send money to Australia to a friend. Meant lots of conversions of currencies and many fees. I wouldn’t recommend this tutor. He didn’t have a passion for teaching the language and certainly didn’t respect me as a student.

Easy to work with
The great thing is, that the students come without me searching for them. Therefore it's a bit unpleasant, that I have to teach for two weeks for free, even though it's not certain that the student will stay with me for future lessons.

They are just here to take your money and then ghost you.I have been teaching on this platform and have been scammed with the very first student. First time this happens to me in more than 8 years of teaching !Tutoroo state, in their policy that if the student doesn't continue after the non paid classes, we are entitled to get 50% of the lessons price. I have been waiting for the money they owe me since August !! Can you believe that !After many emails they always answer the same bullshit message that they will transmit the issue to the non existent Paris Team... Nobody ever reply. I met some students who used this platform in the past and they are also complaining they have never been refunded...This platform is highly disrespectful towards both the students and teachers. Please, AVOID it AT ALL COST you can only be deceived. Prefer ethic and respectful teaching platforms such as Vierbling or Preply.
