Total Scam! Preying on the Vulnerable & Elderly

Total Scam!! This so called company has preyed upon by 87 year old father twice. He finally broke and paid the money. £ 180.00 for boiler repairs and £ 120.00 for electrical repairs. Pressure selling is illegal?! . They said that they would refund the £ 180.00 for the boiler fee last December, however he is yet to see the money paid in his bank account!! Many phone calls & emails chasing!!

Please beware

Please beware. This is a scam company targeting the elderly. A gent i care for has been scammed out of £120. The bank has reimbursed his money fortunately, but its sad that people are scammed in this way so easily and often! Shame on you

Thieving scum!

These crooks called my 92 year old mother telling her they wanted to pay her a £60 “insurance rebate” and asking for her bank details. They then charged her £60 for a household goods insurance policy. (Which she doesn’t need.) They called again 3 months later trying to pull the same trick this time for £180, but my mum put the phone down on them. They’re absolute low-life scum preying on the elderly. If they try it with you or your relatives please report them to (1) your local council’s Trading Standards department; (2) the Information Commissioner’s Office (for making marketing calls without express consent) and (3) the Police. They should be doing time.

Thieves! fake nice old lady routine…

Ignore the fake nice old lady routine from Julia. They called 6 times in one day under different phone numbers after managing to trick my elderly relative. Asking for more money.Thieves. Con. Beware. Do not pay them a penny. They may use a registered company name. Have a website and a phone number. But that does not make them a genuine company. I don't believe they ever actually provide a service to anyone. They cold call. Confidence tricksters. They spend the time on the phone to gain enough of a person's confidence to make them seem legitimate before taking a card payment from you - steeling your money as they provide NO SERVICE. Then once they know they have you, they call again for more money. Threaten you with legal action. Using words such as contract and breach, debt collection, court. Stop. Take a moment and remember you haven't signed any contract or been sent any paper work. Demand your money back. Then go to your bank and report them. Also report them to trading standards. Citizens advice and any news paper or radio station you can.

Disgraceful company preying on elderly

Disgraceful company who prey on vulnerable elderly people. My mum was conned out of £180, paying for a three year insurance "deal" on an induction hob that costs £199 new! Absolutely appalling. This company should be struck off for their coercive practices.

UK Recovery Team Scam

My mother was contacted by this company “offering” her insurance for a domestic appliance. She is 90 years old and the sales techniques were wholly inappropriate for someone so old. She was left feeling confused by the salesperson and couldn’t remember what had been covered, how much she would have to pay and how she would receive the “insurance” paperwork. Payment was taken over the phone from her debit card. I contacted the company to complain and they have assured me that the policy will be cancelled and apologised for the “misunderstanding”.

My mother in law got a call from this…

My mother in law got a call from this company , told her ,her insurance had run out for her television. She never had this policy in the first place. She was conned into giving them £180 on the 1st of August 2025. To paint a picture my mother in law is in the early stages of dementia she is 80 yrs old. They told her she had to have this policy. If she didn't renew she would get a charge for breaking her contract or could face court proceedings. She does not have an email address so no proof of contract. She has received nothing in the post. So we have nothing. Please be wary of this company. I intend to have this company fully investigated.

This Company has already had £120 from me

I have had many calls from this Company and had another one today. It was for a Fridge/Freezer which is 15 years old and they wanted £120 to close the Policy of £180 to continue. I did say to the lady that I was fed up getting calls from them and hung up only for her to ring back and say to me "Don't you be so rude, you are obviously an old person". Again she was quite stroppy and said if I don't pay the £120 to cancel then their Solicitors would be in touch and she would see me in Court. I have to say, I am 79 and I was not happy with them and my daughter happened to phone me at that time and she said I have looked them up and they are scammers do NOT pay them any more money. She had all my details, when old people want a peaceful time they are being hounded by the likes of this Company, but I won't be again. I am so thankful for Trust Pilot.

SCAMMERS

If I could give zero stars I would. They scammed my elderly father into a policy telling him he needed to pay to get out of it. They are a vile company and the people who work there have absolutely zero moral compass happily taking money from the most vulnerable of our society. I will be reporting you to the ICO.

You should be ashamed!!!!!!!!!!

Definately scammers,just had my 4th…

Definately scammers, just had my 4th phone call fromthem since April 25th, same person twice and 4 different phone numbers. The first time was about coverfor house hold appliances which I never took out and he even quoted a password and a card number-both which had long expired, where did he get the info? It'sfrightening to think about!.Third time at the end of last week it was about a telephone blocking service?!! which I also did not take out as registered with TPS.Anyway have now just been threatened with court papers in 5 days so will wait and see.The whole thing has reduced me to tears as I know that I haven't done anything.Last call today at 10.06

No stars

Scammers saying to older relative you have a contract, just confirm your details etc, TPS registered so they shouldn't be cold calling, very distressing for the relative as they thought they'd best 'renew' despite not having or needing a policy, calling vulnerable people is a crime, see all the other reviews, it's infuriating, everyone should report to trading standards, as they're getting money for nothing, has anyone had a repair by them?

Scammers - this has to end

I’ve just had a phone call from my 86-year-old stepmother in tears having received a call from UK Recovery Team - on bank holiday Monday. They said that she owed additional money under the contract she doesn’t know anything about and if they didn’t get the money then they would sue her. It’s left her feeling very shaken. I told her they would be writing to her if they had a contract not phoning her – and by the way she is TPS registered so this is a breach of the data protection act. I am going to initiate an ICO complaint.

Another bad experience

This appears to be absolutely in line with other experiences. They said I had taken out a policy for drains protection two years ago and because I hadn’t claimed I was getting a reduction to £180. His name was Josh he gave a realistic sounding contract number, and his colleague rang, and they appeared ok on FCS and their website but I checked here and saw the posts. I froze my card and am waiting for either the bank or them to contact

Scammers!

I happened to walk in as my elderly father was on the phone to this company, I took over the call and they claimed he had taken out a policy 2 years ago for care and maintenance of soft furnishings in his home, absolutely ridiculous, never taken this plan. The guy who said his name was Harry Spencer then tried pressuring me saying my father needed to pay a severance fee of £120 to get him out of this otherwise he would be tied in again. Told me if this didn’t happen today it would be too late and became very insistent it needed to be done NOW. Will not be paying a penny and have reported this scam! Do not be fooled! I don’t know how these people sleep at night preying on the vulnerable!

Disgraceful company, phoned my elderly mother and convinced her to pay £180.00 to "renew' a policy she doesn't have! They should be ashamed of their shoddy and predatory practices.

This company is definitely a scam

This company is definitely a scam. I happened to be home when they called my elderly mother and when I took that call they claimed that she had signed up for a maintenance contract in 2022 and was now due to pay £180 for a further 3 years. When I advised them that my mother is vulnerable and lives in my home where I am responsible for all electrical and maintenance issues they refused to acknowledge her vulnerability and stated that if she did not pay they would refer her case to a debt collection agency as she was in breach of contract and this would cost her a lot more than the £180 they were intending to collect. Absolutely disgusting company - Steer well clear.

These people are scammers

These people are scammers. Rang me about cancelling a fictious policy I have never had. They wanted £120 to cancel the plan. When I said I could not afford this they reduced the amount to £60. They then pestered me with calls all afternoon. The last chap who at least in his favour was fluent in english got quite aggresive. Steer a million miles away from this company
