Great service
The car was clean, spotless and ready on time.Check-in was smooth and fast. Alaskan Car Rental is easy to reach by phone, the staff is very courteous and dedicated to customer satisfaction.I particularly like their web site, full of very useful information about Alaska.

Met at airport and taken to rental…
Met at airport and taken to rental office to collect car. Final paperwork straight forward no extra pushy sales. Car worked perfect throughout trip, simple return process.

The perfect rent a car agency when visiting Alaska
Renting a car with Alaskan Car Rental was an incredible experience. I arrived in Anchorage from a distant city at 2:30 am and, as you can imagine, there are no car rental agencies open at that time. However, ACR saved me. They were willing to help from the beginning. They arranged for me to pick up the car and sent me clear instructions on how to get to the car. A very smooth experience! The representative was extraordinarily friendly and supportive in resolving issues other than the car rental and I really appreciated the effort. I highly recommend Alaskan Car Rental to anyone coming to visit the Last Frontier. I will return to them in the future.

Outstanding experience with Alaskan Car Rental (Not to be confused with Alaska Car rental!)
We had an outstanding experience with Alaskan Car Rental! (Not to be confused with "Alaska" car rental!) We needed a car to tour around Denali and then one way to Seward for a cruise. We took a taxi to the office and our car was waiting for us. It had only 11,000 miles on it, and it was spotless outside and inside. The person who helped us, Onder was friendly, helpful, and patient with us, as he explained where to return the car in Seward, in the parking lot a few feet away from the cruise terminal. The price of the rental was by far the best anywhere. We couldn't even find one of the "big companies" that offered one-way rentals in Anchorage or Seward. Absolutely an "11" on a scale of 10!

Reliable car rental place near the Anchorage Airport

This is a great family run business
This is a great family run business. They picked us up from the airport, signing the papers was fast and smooth. Car was clean and in great shape. Return was easy. Definitely would rent from them again.

We had an overall good experience with…
We had an overall good experience with Alaskan Car Rental. The only hiccup we had was the policy that the person paying had to be a driver. Additional drivers were $12 per day. They worked with us and it all worked out. When we returned the car, an employee met us right away and the return was very easy and quick. It would have been helpful to know the driver policy ahead of time. I may have missed it by not reading all of the information when I made the reservation.

Friendly, but…..watch out
The Guys at ACR are very friendly. That is absolutely true. They even picked us up at our hotel. But there were some points we did not like:- the car was late (we first got another car to do some groceries)- the front window was broken (a crack of appr. 60/70 cm)- the tires were too flat and the warning sign kept giong on- but most importantly: the risk of driving on unpaved roads. We booked a car that could handle these roads and we took the necessary insurance. However they told us via e-mail (when we were already hundreds of km away) that unpaved roads are our own risk. Therefor I would advice everybody to tripple-check on the terms!!!!!!!

Best Car Rental Company in Anchorage
I have rented cars for over 42 years for both work and pleasure. The owners of Alaskan Car Rental provided us with a fantastic and truly clean and well-maintained vehicle. They provided outstanding service both at arrival and when we dropped off our car. They beat big rental company's prices and customer service. This was the most pleasant experience renting a car that my wife and I have ever had. We highly recommend them above any other car rental company and will use them anytime we visit Anchorage.
