I have been with Altrua for almost a decade, there all really nice and while its weird talking about a healthcare sharing ministry, i know they are not trying to screw me like United has done soo many times.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This is the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had in my life. I can’t possibly express how unhappy I am with Altrua. It has been FIFTEEN MONTHS and my medical need is still not resolved. I had to call time after time after time and basically do everything myself and instruct the agents what to do, just to get the hospital to receive the right documents from Altrua. Now we will see if the hospital even accepts their discounts. If they don’t, I will have to pay 8,000 out of my pocket for one tiny ER visit.But honestly, even if the hospital DOES accept their discount, I am going to leave bad reviews in every place I can find because I’ve had a horrible experience for over a year with Altrua. I wish I could receive a refund for all the months I paid for this scam. 0/10 do not recommend. SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY AND HASSLE and get real insurance!!!
