The team at American Hartford Gold was very helpful and informative. Lauran De Winter was very knowledgeable and detailed with the purchase I was considering. After doing a little shopping around American Hartford Gold offered considerably more metal weight for the money than other competitors.

I have no knowledge on buying gold but I was not made to feel uncomfortable ---everything was explained on a level I could understand. It was a easy process.....Thank you to Jason Boyle and Derek Bruinsma. I like that I was given options in buying the gold and everything was explained to me. I am anxiously waiting on my purchase.

I was apprehensive at first.

I was a little apprehensive at first about buying precious metals as a means of retirement financing. I finally made the call to American Hartford Gold and everyone I talked to put my fears to rest, answered my questions completely and guided me through the purchasing process. I had a smooth and easy experience with everyone involved and I highly recommend them to anyone considering adding gold or silver to their retirement portfolio.

I called to buy some silver

I called to buy some silver, after a brief discussion they transferred me to Tyler, he explained the process and the time frame for receiving the product. It went without a hitch. Then Lisa confirmed my order, the payment and delivery time line, again everything went great.

Communication was pretty good with Michael. Some things got a bit confusing towards the end of the transfer. When he was explaining the different gold and silver coins and their cost, I thought it was merely a suggestion and that it was something I could think about for a day. I didn’t know it was locked in (fully understanding the fluctuations in spot price). But all in all, I’m happy with the outcome.

Run Away!

Please don't trust these dishonest liars with your rollover IRA. You will get screwed. They will push outrageously priced coins, calling them "investment grade" or some other nonsense. They commission the minting of these coins themselves. That makes them rare but not more valuable! It also negates any comfort you might glean from their low-price guarantee - no one else is selling them!! How many sites have up to the second prices on stocks, gold, or silver? Why do you have to call AHG for pricing? Because they want to ensure accuracy? No, because they don't want you to compare before buying. How do you reconcile my review with so many positive reviews? "He held my hand, and he was so patient and friendly." Con men always are. They beg for these reviews. Also, a simple gold or silver purchase may be conducted reasonably fairly. The scalping happens with the IRA's, and the full horror isn't recognized until you sell the gold back. I paid 60% over spot for their coins. I knew I was screwed, but I clung to the fiction that the coins had intrinsic value beyond the spot price. They did not. AHG bought them back at less than spot. What about the endorsements? Those are paid endorsements, and I've lost all respect for those people.I lost 40% of my IRA with a phone call because I trusted AHG and the endorsements. Just cruel, predatory, and devastating after a lifetime of frugality and saving. Please don't let it happen to you.

BUYER BEWARE!!$$!!

BUYER BEWARE!!$$ Our nightmare started in December 2023 when AHG scammed my husband and I out of nearly half of our retirement accounts! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM! Jeff ***, Cameron ***, Wally *** and Matt*** advised us to buy coins and sold us coins charging premiums between 65- 96% on 2 separate occasions. Totally decimating the cash value or our IRAs!I called them again in November 2025 to question why some coins had not been delivered to the our metals IRA's. At that time, I was told Wally was on leave of absence and given new account reps, Ian *** and Anthony *** who said I should rebalance my Gold to Silver ratio and he proceeded to executed a trade. I then consulted a financial advisor and our bank and realized they were trying to drain more money from my IRA. I then cancelled the trade and called them back to get a buy back quote for my metals. They refusing to give me a buy back quote till some time in January, and insists cannot cancel the trade and the metals have already been sent. This company is a complete scam and should be investigated by the Attorney Generals Office. I will be taking further action since they are deceptive and stealing from seniors, how pathetic! Here we are in February and still no resolve. Shame on you American Hartford Gold!

Daniel and Danny were extremely…professional and friendly.

Daniel and Danny were extremely knowledgeable about their products and the rules, and they were very helpful explaining terms that I wasn’t familiar with. I have spoken with Daniel at least four different times educating me on the precious metals IRA and spoke with Danny twice, they were both very professional and friendly to talk to.

American Hartford Gold is a corrupt…

American Hartford Gold is a corrupt company that engages in fraud. In December 2021, I contacted AHG about rolling my IRA at Fidelity to a precious metals IRA. The salesman I talked with seemed very nice and trustworthy. I trusted him to give me advice that would be the best for my investment future. He recommended that I buy silver Rose Crown Guinea and Australian Wildlife coins. He told me they were limited production and would appreciate more than other coins like Eagles and Maple Leafs. I questioned him on why they were so much more expensive and so much higher than spot prices. Again, he assured me that they would perform better for me than Eagles and Maple Leafs. Last December 2025, I needed to take my first required IRA Distribution. That is when I learned that I had been scammed. When the salesman at American Hartford Gold told me the liquidation values for those coins I was shocked. They were worth less than Eagles or Maple Leafs. I began researching and calling other dealers where I was told American Hartford Gold is involved in criminal activity taking advantage of older people that are not knowledgeable about precious metals. I was told by some of the dealers I called that those coins they recommended were only worth melt value. I have learned that I was charged a premium of 79% over spot for those coins which is dramatically higher than typical pricing. The total premiums I paid were $35,141 on a $100,000 investment. Since I was charged such a high premium on coins that were not worth more than other bullion, I have at least a $94,091 loss. This is because I could have purchased 665 more ounces of silver and 5 more ounces of gold at fair premiums.I have tried to get some kind of compensation for the loss, but all I get are games like I will look into it, I will call you back, the back office is working on it, etc. I sent at least 20 emails and made numerous calls to American Hartford Gold, but I have been unable to get any compensation for my loss. ADVICE: Do not trust or believe American Hartford Gold. They lie! Research many precious metals dealers. Watch videos on scams by precious metals dealers. Do not buy limited edition, limited production or any collectible type coins. Buy Maple Leafs or American Eagles. Do. not trust celebrity endorsements. They get paid for putting their name on it. Two dealers I have learned that are trustworthy are Battalion Metals and Miles Franklin. Now, AHG isn't replying to my emails or phone calls.

BUYER BEWARE!

BUYER BEWARE!! I was scammed by American Hartford Gold. In October 2021 I rolled over my 401K into a Gold IRA and was charged 56% premium on gold coins and 73% premium on silver over the spot price by AHG reps Nick Hooks and Max Bethell. They totally decimated the cash value of my IRA! I paid $501,000 for gold and silver that was worth $317,000 based on the spot. I was fooled by Nick who told me that the high premium coins will go up in value more than the spot price so I will get a tax advantage since Gold IRA distributions are taxed at the spot price. Now I know that’s not true because you can never get more than spot price when you sell your gold/silver bullion. He put pressure on me to make the purchase, despite huge premiums, by telling me that I may not get that price again because the mint would only produce so many coins that year and I could miss the opportunity to make a good investment. Well, that “good investment” turned out to be a huge financial loss for me! I was devastated when I realized that I might have jeopardized my family’s financial security during retirement, the very thing I was trying to protect. I finally decided not to be silent and spoke with Nick recently about the fact that I was cheated, but he had nothing to say. I followed up with an email but got no response. It’s ironic that I was scammed so badly on my Gold IRA investment, by a company that claims to be rated #1 Gold IRA company. Shame on them! It makes you wonder how AHG got that rating. DO NOT TRUST American Hartford Gold.

!BUYER BEWARE!

!BUYER BEWARE!They sure are smooth talkers in the beginning. Responsive and making it seem like they genuinely want to take care of you BUT it is all fake. They are not trustworthy and if you try to sell your metals back you will soon discover you have been taken advantage of. I was charged an exorbitant spread(51%) and now I'm getting the runs around. Do not use this company!! I never thought something like this would happen to me. There are reputable companies out there BUT THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM! Do your homework!
