This LSP is extremely unprofessional and show no respect for independent contractor interpreters.
They use Boostlingo as their call routing platform, and Boostlingo already has invoicing features built in. Instead of using those tools, they make interpreters generate their own invoices every month. We have to log into Boostlingo, export call history using a specific time zone, create an invoice with our payment details, and send it to them at the beginning of each month for work done in the previous month. I have worked with several other LSPs that also use Boostlingo, and none of them require interpreters to do this. Some of them even send invoices directly from Boostlingo and simply ask interpreters to review and approve. If a company wants interpreters to stay and do good work, it should try to make things easier, not pile on extra administrative tasks. Interpreting is already stressful enough. On top of that, they tell interpreters to remove all calls that are under one minute because they claim those calls are not billable. I seriously question this. Over a month, many short calls add up, and losing all of that time means losing real money. Not paying for connected time feels unethical. They also say that calls with incomplete or improper intake forms will not be paid. For example, if only a first name is collected instead of first and last name, the call becomes non billable. This is unreasonable. Interpreters should not lose pay because of missing simple administrative details.Next, they pay on a net-45 basis, meaning that if you complete work in January 2026, you must send them an invoice in early February, and only 45 days after the invoice date will you receive payment. In other words, if you submit your invoice on February 1, 2026 for your January 2026 work, you will not get paid until mid-March 2026. This is terrible in all possible ways a company can be.Overall, it feels like they are pushing extra work onto interpreters while also looking for ways to reduce what they pay us. Interpreters are the ones who actually make the company money. If they want to keep good interpreters, they should support us, simplify processes, and pay fairly, not create more hassle or quietly take money out of our pockets.

Prompt, Professional, Great Service
Prompt quotes for translation. We had a lot of files needing to be translated from English into Spanish, for purposes of accessibility by those who primarily speak the second-most spoken language in our area. Many of the files were 50-100 page manuals. Yuly Gil was our contact, and every step of the way things were handled incredibly professionally and quickly. I made clear that we had a tight timeline - no other company could guarantee that they were done in time and they came in as one of the lowest bids. We ended up receiving most of the documents by the deadline and a few shortly thereafter (this was not unreasonable considering I could not always answer questions in a timely fashion). Any time they found a typo in the English versions of the documents, they asked very clearly how they should handle it with a screenshot and specific examples. We would use this company again without hesitation and highly recommend Barbier for translation.

Amazing experience!!
What a great experience we had working with Barbier during the last few years!! We were so incredibly lucky to have the two best Project Coordinators, Savy and Virginia, who truly became part of our Project Management family. They shinned not only by their skills but also because of their willingness to learn new things, the way they integrated the team as if they had been with us for years and their professionalism each and every day. We are so grateful to have had you on our team!

Great Interactions
Barbier takes great care of our employees through the testing process. We really appreciate the face-to-face (via computer) interactions over the recorded versions we have experienced with other vendors.

What a phenomenal team to work with!
What a phenomenal team! We've been working with Barbier to schedule indigenous language interpreters for our member hospitals and health systems for over a year. Experienced indigenous language interpreters are rare, precious, and critical to safe and equitable care. The physicians have been extremely happy with the Barbier interpreters, and very grateful. The languages we need and have had trouble finding are mostly from Guatemala and Mexico. Barbier is a wonderful resource, it was Nahuatl this week, but I've often needed K'iche', Mam, Q'eqchi, Ixil and more over the last year. The customer service is better than excellent. I work with Jorge Rodas and Diana Garcia and they have done everything humanly possible to make sure patients and providers have the interpreters they need when they need them. The interpreters themselves have never failed to be on time for appointments, but the team makes that happen--even when my request is urgent, when the provider is mistaken about the language or variant, and when the case is delicate, ongoing, and would benefit from having the same interpreter for a series of appointments.I hope this group continues to thrive, and to expand the number of indigenous languages available!

Meh - Okay
Fast service, good evaluators.Felt there was a conflict of interest when we asked them to review employees to do internal translation work. They failed everyone, even the most highly college-educated native speaker.

Good experience
Unfortunately, the last interaction with your company was sometime in or before December of 2021 because state contract by design expire after a while. In our case, this contract expired 12/31/2021. During that time, Barbier was a great company to work with, as the translations were always on time, and if there were any questions or issues, they were dealt with very efficiently. I hope in the future we can work with Barbier again.

Over the past year
Over the past year, you all have turned around projects on time. You have done a great job with DTP. And your team has worked on projects that can drive anyone crazy, but your team does it with a pleasant outlook. Thank you for doing a great job. Barbier is my to-go vendor for translations. Thank you again and keep up the great work.

Generally helpful and friendly
Generally helpful and friendly. One attendee complained they did not seem engaged in the content, but I'm not sure it was a big deal.

Team Flash
Team Flash - Jorge, Diana and Kevin. I think you already know from the name I gave them. They are always quick with responding to email which we highly appreciate given that preschedule is always under time pressure. And the interpreters' quality is excellent. Clients love Edvin and Julio. They just keep on requesting back. On the date of experience part of this form, I just selected last Friday but let me just say, it should be EVERYDAY. AWESOME!
