Worked as intended

I wanted to write a review since I tried CardSwap recently and it worked perfectly for me. I only read the reviews after I mailed my gift card ($45 from Urban Planet) and I was kind of scared, but I did receive the email containing a link to an Esso card as promised (this is what I picked since it offered a better value than a cheque). They didn’t ask for a receipt as some other people mentioned. I just used the prepaid label they provided and it took 2 weeks overall to receive my virtual card.

Sent in to you a $25 Amazon gift card…

You guys are liars! I went on your website and put in my Amazon card information and you accepted it! Like I said I have all the screenshots of the transactions! Don't play with me scammers! You stole my gift card! I've read the reviews on you guys and alot of people said what you did to me you did to them! Also you gave them the same response as what you told me also to them! You're frauds! Im reporting you to the bbb and im going to start working on getting your site shutdown for scams, fraudulent activities and theft. You want to come forward and tell the truth. I will give you one day to or I start with what I said im going to do!

STAY AWAY! This company should be out of business

This company is a complete and utter scam! Apparently they now only accept gift cards with a receipt. I was contacted by Customer Service asking for a receipt for my measly $50 LCBO gift card and let them know that I won it in a white elephant game. They proceeded to send it back to me without even responding to my email. They also included a $5 voucher that is already expired. Awful business…stay far away from them!

WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP COMPANY

WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP COMPANY! Can you imagine I've been selling cards to these guys since 2012... Whenever I got Christmas gift cards from family members (GIFTS) with no receipts I sold them with no hassle and got my cheque in the mail. Fast forward to 2025 I sent 4 cards in and they ask for a receipt of purchase. Does that make sense? Are they now saying if I get a gift card as a gift I need to ask the person for the original receipt? Then they send me my gift card back with an EXPIRED voucher that says 5$ off next transaction and the date on it is from 2024. Real PIECE OF CRAP COMPANY!!! Do not do business with these shady people!

First test ( they passed and delivered through) My real rating is 5 stars please read to see why I gave it one star if you have a few mins

I was scared when I was checking the reviews of card swap and saw that it had a poor score of 2😭 and I like looking at the low star reviews cause I can trust those are at least real people with real bad experiences (this is the sole and only reason I gave it one star, to reach fellow people like me that review things in a similar manner, they came through once and if they do come through again I’ll write another review and give them 5 stars on that one but for now I gotta think about my people) and I read a bunch of reviews that didn’t help boost my confidence in them so I decided I’ll try other sites and so surprisingly when I checked the reviews of other sites this one had the highest which is extremely crazy considering it has a score of 2 out of 5🤣 so even though I was really scared they’d scam me or even worse just waste my time with lies I just decided to go for it and see what happens (shooters gotta shoot🤷🏾) so I did and I don’t know how long exactly it took for it to be delivered cause they said i should get it in the mail in the next 3 days and if I don’t get my cheque by MARCH(which scares me a bit cause this is like mid Feb, why are you talking about March when you said it’ll take 3 days yk but I just decided to have faith) I would’ve loved to give an exact timeline for how long it took me to get it to help ease fears of people in my situation so I was checking my mail daily but I had somewhere to travel to over the week but what I know is that I emailed them my gift card on feb16 they confirmed they received it and my cheque was ready on the 18th I got back home on the 23rd checked my mail with a great fear in my heart and to my surprise my cheque was there😭🙏 so I was clearly happy about that and even if it wasn’t exactly 3 days I’m assuming it took very well less than a week cause I got home quite early that day which is still very good in my opinion. I read a review that someone had a bad experience and basically got scammed on their second try with them which kinda scared me a lot but I will still try them again around a time I’m free so I can give a very detailed review and hopefully that won’t be my last time shopping with them. I think that sums everything up, in conclusion so far so good card swap has help up their end and I will test them again in the near future and see what happens then come back here and give an update🫡

Highly recommend

I have bought and recently sold unwanted cards as well. This is the one place I highly recommend looking into, especially if you shop online. I've been using this service for 5 years now.

Stay away from this Scam

Stay away from this company as they scam you!!They offered me $144 for an $180 Google play card I told them I had bought at shoppers drugmart .After accepting their offer, they sent me an official looking prepaid envelope to send my card ...stating the chq would be sent in a week. After 2 weeks I emailed them and their response was they thought I had a shopper's drugmart card and they did not know it's a Google play card ; when I clearly stated this in our email ....I then never heard from them as they stole my $180 Google play card. These guys are professional SCAMMERs ...Stay away from them and do not belive their offer as they entice then steal ....they must be in Las Vagas!!!!!

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!

They make you wait 2 business days once you buy a gift card just to tell you that you need to call in to confirm your order. Ya right i don't have time for that, if i placed an order then its confirmed what the heck do i have to call you for. All other negative reviews about this place are right, its a scam and waste of time. Take my and their word for it and stay away from CardSwap!

Cheap tricks, unethical and unprofessional customer service

I am writing this review because I feel very disappointed with CardSwap. They are not a scam, they seem legit, that's not what upset me. It's their process and the people behind it that are very unprofessional. The customer service is below any applicable standards. This company gives me the vibe of a cheap startup that is having hard time making good deals. I'll explain what I mean.I had a high value gift card from Apple. As anyone would do, I went on their website, passed their evaluation and was offered 85% of the card amount, which was supposed to leave them with a pretty good profit of 15%. I accepted the offer and followed their instructions to the letter. And here the problems started. When I went to the post office to send my card, the officer informed me that the ZIP code of the address they provided is invalid. The way I understand it, this business involves a lot of trust be put in the company initially, you need to send them your card with no guarantee whatsoever of what is going to happen next. All you can see is one positive testimonial on their website (I am yet to see a website owner publishing a bad review about their activity!) and some reviews online. Yet, just when you are ready to make your leap of faith, something so stupid like a invalid ZIP code does not play well on your level of confidence. That was just the first warning sign. Then they received the card and confirmed it, explicitly telling me that they will send me the check in the next 2-3 business days. Needless to say, that did not happen. I started to feel that I've been scammed, but decided to be patient and I waited for a week before sending an inquiry to their customer service. I believe when you as a company are asking for trust without having proven yourself in any way, the least you should do is deliver on your promises. Instead, I received an email in which, without any excuse, I was asked if I had the original receipt for the gift card. And this upset me really bad. Nowhere in the process, not in the evaluation when they knew the amount of my gift card, nor later, when they gave me instructions on what to send with the card, was the original receipt mentionned. It doesn't evan make sense that the owner of the card would have the original receipt, because guess what, it's a gift card! Nobody gives gifts with the receipts attached to them! This company's business is gift cards and yet, they are assuming that my card is not gifted, but somehow I decided to buy it for myself and then offer it to them just so I can lose 15% of its amount. When I asked them this same question, they told me that this is part of thier verification procedures, which again, was not published anywhere. Moreover, I could not easily swallow the fact that I was not asked about the receipt immediately after they received the card, they stalled and waited for me to start sending emails to ask for it. I felt like they were just inventing procedures and excuses not to deliver on their commitment. Even so, I explained to them that the card was gifted to me by my company and since this was all around Christmas (delay caused by them!), I would need a few days until business resumes to ask for the original receipt. They did not answer to that to confirm or infirm, it seems that I did not deserve their attention at that point. I was pretty confident I can get the receipt although my brain was screaming at me that this is not right since if I had been told since the beginning that they needed it, I would not have wasted so much time and effort. The moment business resumed, without waiting for me to get the receipt, they sent me another email informing me that they will return my card because it was missing required documents. They did return my card and I checked it on the Apple site. The amount was still there. Now, this is how I am reading their behaviour: this is a company who deals mostly in the range of 50$ to 200$ card values. My card was for 500$. Once they received it, they got scared that they wouldn't be able to sell it. Well, they should have realized that since the beginning and refuse it with an explanation before I invest effort and money into sending it. Instead, they decided to play posum and started looking for reasons and inventing requirements just so they get out of the situation clean which I find very unethical. When they ask you to send the card with a registered email they tell you that they will reimburse your expenses up to 10$. That was a lie too. They did not reimburse me, they sent me a coupon for 5$ that I am supposed to use when I send them cards in the future. Very smart, sending me a coupon for services they made sure I will never use ... This company made me waste time and money and at the end, nothing they did was worth it. They are cheap and they would lie to you so that they get out of any situation clean.
