I arranged a move for my parents, and the crew handled it well. They spoke clearly and asked where things should go. They set up the main furniture so my parents could settle quickly. The team worked at a steady pace and didn’t rush. Moving can be tiring, but they made it simple.
The crew did an outstanding job moving my items. They were thorough and efficient, ensuring nothing was damaged. I was impressed by how quickly they handled everything.
The move was for my grandparents, and I was worried about how it would go. The team explained each step and didn’t rush them. They placed items where we asked and kept the process simple. It was a long day, but they managed it well and stayed professional from start to finish.
I shifted from FL To MO with a lot of fragile items. The crew wrapped each piece and loaded it carefully. The placed boxes in the right rooms so unpacking was simple. The whole job was done in a half day.
Charter Vanlines moved me out of a shared townhouse. They showed up when they said they would and started loading right away. They stacked boxes neatly and kept things in order. I liked that they worked quietly and didn’t rush. When we arrived, they unloaded in a neat line, and I could unpack easily.
The move from FL to TX took longer than expected, but everything arrived safely. The team packed my stuff, went well, and kept me informed until unloading was done.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We were contacted and offered great discounts but when we said we needed time to think about it they said if we hung up we would lose the substantial discounts so we paid up. We were duped. We were given a two day window and never heard, so we called. We finally figured out they were brokers and NOT the movers. Our projected moving date was tomorrow. We were at the doctors today when we received a call saying the movers would be here TOMORROW! Totally unacceptable! We had no idea who the movers were, no chance to investigate them. We were to trust our belongings to someone we never heard of…you got to be kidding. Now they refuse to refund our funds, we are seniors who need every penny. Stay far away from them.
We used Charter Vanlines for our business move, and they kept the process simple from start to finish. The guys labeled everything neatly, which made unpacking at the new place much easier.
CHARTER VAN LINES move from Georgia to IllinoisI contacted Charter Van Lines last year November of 2024 got my quote and ended up moving on February 1 if 2025. Horrible experience, first off the company they hired to move us from St Louis Mo was Midwest Moving Company which I didn’t know at the time that they were brokering our move from another company. They didn’t tell us that someone else besides Charter Van Lines was moving us and I should have checked myself. Anyway the movers showed up with a large moving truck like the size of a large U-Haul truck probably 20-26 foot. 2 people came and looked at our move and said it wouldn’t fit all our stuff and the guys were really rude and hateful and was very unprofessional movers. Anyway they told us they would only fill truck half full with our move. We were upset and had to be out of house. Anyway I ask them what we need to do since they were not going to take all our stuff. They said they would fill truck full if we paid them cash outa pocket and we were in a bind so we paid them another 1700 dollars cash just to fill truck full which was totally wrong and we were in a bind so we did it because we didn’t have a choice. So they filled truck and still couldn’t get our stuff in that Penske truck. So they left with the 1700 cash bribe. Charter van lines did not send a big enough truck to start with. So we paid charter van lines around 5400 plus pay these guys 1700 cash. Now we have a bunch more stuff that Charter van lines said we could fit in that truck that the movers would only fill half full and bribe us so they could get more money from us. So we had to rent a large U-Haul truck to load rest of stuff that was supposed to fit. The U-Haul truck rental was 900 dollars plus gasoline for the trip from Georgia to Illinois so we had to spend over 8000 dollars plus fuel and hotel for the trip. Also the guys were Smoking pot before they came and was High on pot when they unloaded our stuff. I could smell it and they tore our leather couch moving it in new house. Overall a terrible experience and charter van lines never once followed up to see how move was. We ended up spending 4-5 thousand dollars more to move. I will be reporting this to BBB. The cash bribe or we won’t fill truck was totally wrong. Marty
My dorm move was small but important to me. I had a futon, a mini fridge, and a few boxes. The movers worked quickly and carefully, and everything was in place before lunch.
Charter Van Lines sales disengages once contract is signed. They then subcontract your move to a subpar moving company in your area. You don’t know who’s they are until they’re show up and are stuck!Find your own movers and research them. I was told the move would arrive on Monday(yesterday), after countless packing issues, it’s Tuesday and it’s not yet left city I’m leaving.
Don't use this service. I was given a quote by a very charming sales person, thinking it was a great offer (not scammy, but fair) and after I put the money down I was in shock at how much I had been tricked. In the original call, I was told my items were guaranteed to be dropped off at my new place on one of two dates (28-hour window). 24-hours later I called back to check on some things and I ended up speaking with someone who told me that they don't guarantee a date of drop off nor do they have someone I could speak with about escalating this issue. The woman on the phone gave me an email, which bounced 24-hours later.Do yourself a favor and do not use Charter Van Lines.
Subcontracting work, hired crackheads who stole our stuff. Customer service will do nothing to help you but tell you to call the cops.
I booked with Charter Van Lines and at first, the conversation during booking seemed nice—they kept chatting and making it sound easy. But the very next day I decided to cancel. I had already paid the deposit, and now it’s been over 10 days and they still haven’t refunded my money.I’ve sent multiple emails with no response. I called several times but they refused to answer the phone—completely different from how easy it was to reach them before I booked. I dealt with an employee named Jesse.Be careful. Do NOT use this company. They will take your deposit and ignore you. You’re better off using U-Haul or PODS moving services instead.
DO NOT USE this company! They broker out to unreliable companies who are unprofessional and completely unreliable! Easy Movers based out of Miami-Flagler Street picked up furniture on August 24th. It is now September 10th and I keep calling to getAn eta which keeps getting delayed. Totally unacceptable!
My son and his wife just moved from Denver, Colorado to Idaho and had a horrible experience with Charter Van Lines. Just listen to what these unprofessional people did...Overall- Do not move with this company!Angela Santoro-Yanagisawa1) The bill estimate did not match the total cost. We did add three items (two boxes, one shoe rack) day of but we also got rid of queen mattress, queen mattress frame, 40 in TV. The mover looked at the three items (eyeballed it) and said that it would add 50 cubic feet and upped our total charge instead of measuring the actual cubic feet once in the vehicle. The first movers also told us we needed to pay 60% now and 40% at delivery... it was 50% and 50% when I called customer support. He lied.2) They moved our personal items from the original moving truck into an 18 wheeler, then charged us $1 per square foot ($480) to move into a U-Haul truck that would fit in our apartment complex. I'm unaware of any apartment complex that could sustain an 18 wheeler.... We were also never told that it would be different companies throughout this moving process.3) When trying to get ahold of customer service, the representative kept repeating that "it is in the contract" and when I asked for her to guide me to the portion of the contract that states the items would be moved into an 18 wheeler, she referred me to where it says "May move into warehouse." Not helpful.4) Upon delivery, there was only one mover. My husband had to physically help move items so the gentleman was not breaking his back.
I recently moved cross-country with Charter Van Lines, and I can’t say enough about their exceptional service! From start to finish, the team was professional, responsive, and genuinely cared about making my move stress-free. The booking process was smooth, with clear communication about costs and timelines. The movers arrived on time, handled my belongings with care, and even went the extra mile to wrap fragile items securely. Everything arrived in perfect condition, which was a huge relief. Their attention to detail and friendly attitude made a daunting move feel manageable. If I had to nitpick, there was a slight delay in getting an updated delivery window due to some scheduling mix-up, but they resolved it quickly and kept me informed. Overall, Charter Van Lines exceeded my expectations, and I’d highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable moving company!
HORRIBLE experience! Started out good, Nikki made it all so easy. BUT, they ask for a pretty hefty deposit upfront. And the reason for that is as soon as they get that money, they contract out everything else! Nikki told me I could use credit card for the entire transaction, which be careful theirs will be lower than most others. The company they contract out to, simply called moving company, also called All moving relocation is awful. They will not take credit card even though I signed a contract with charter van lines saying I was using credit card, they have horrible communication clearly it is someone sitting in their living room that answers their customer service calls and she answers “hello“ nothing else no company name, sounds like she just woke up. See for yourself 1 (866) 800-6986. When they got here to pick my stuff up, they tried to add another $1000 to my bill, they didn’t take specific things that we had wrapped and told them to take, they then took a bunch of things we told them not to take. Nikki from charter told me my stuff would be stored in Florida, when the contract came for the other company it turns out all my stuff is somewhere in Tennessee! They will not release my stuff because all I have to pay is a credit card and they will only take cash or money order! they do not answer emails. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. When I tried to talk to Nikki from charter, their customer service told me oh you can no longer speak to Nikki. What?! Yep, they won’t even let you talk to the person you sign the contract with! Then they don’t answer your voicemails or emails until AFTER the date in which you are supposed to schedule your delivery to the final destination, so they can then charge you under a bunch of storage over $450! Once you sign their documents for pick up and delivery, on DocuSign all the documents disappear when you need them!As it stands right now, I cannot get a hold of them, I cannot get my stuff delivered to my final destination, and no one will help me! Any positive review you see for them must be paid! Because this is the worst company I have ever dealt with with the worst communication the worst service and the worst experience ever! Do not use them!
Never contract this company for your move. They are very unprofessional people with any tools to move your stuff. Also, charge more money and contract other companies to do the work without your authorization.. The other company they contracted Eazy1 moving, was worse than them. Please never trust this company. It is a zero-star. My experience was horrible, stressful and unfair. It is a waste of your money .
