As a frequent traveler, I highly recommend Fernweh small group tours to Spain. Lisa, the company owner, is excellent and provides personalized service to each participant. Her tour managers and guides are personable, highly educated and knowledgeable. The tours are well designed with a mix of “must sees” and local culture. The accommodations are “top of the line.” Group dining events feature superior food and wine. The itinerary includes ample free time to explore the destination on your own. Our recent trip to Madrid and Granada, Spain, was nothing short of exceptional, thanks to the careful planning and attention to detail provided by our travel agent, Lisa with Fernweh Travel and Tours. From the moment we arrived, everything ran smoothly. The accommodations were outstanding—comfortable, stylish, and located in prime areas that made exploring the cities incredibly convenient. It was clear that each hotel was selected with care, offering both comfort and easy access to the best local attractions.One of the standout aspects of our trip was how close everything was to the key sights. In both cities, we were able to walk or take short rides to museums, historical sites, and charming neighborhoods. Whether it was walking through the Prado Museum or exploring the Alhambra in Granada, we never felt rushed or overwhelmed. The itinerary was thoughtfully structured, allowing us to truly enjoy each experience without feeling over-scheduled. The itinerary included activities and tours for every member of our family, aged 10 to 46. What really elevated our trip, however, were the local tour guides, especially Daniel in Madrid. He was knowledgeable, personable, and clearly passionate about sharing his city’s history and culture. He made it very interesting and humorous for our young children as well. He added so much depth to our experience, offering insights and stories we never would have discovered on our own. His professionalism and enthusiasm made the tours memorable and engaging. This trip exceeded our expectations, and we’re so grateful to Lisa for creating such a seamless and enriching experience for our family of four.

This tour has it all
Our tour of Andalucia, Spain with Fernweh Travel met our expectations and more. Besides a great itinerary that showed the best of the region, we were treated to surprise stops on the way that gave us insights into the local culture, history, food and drink. We stayed in historic hotels, ate sumptuous meals, led by an experienced, informed and delightful guide.We learned a lot and throughly enjoyed a rich experience.
