BEWARE OF GRUPO EXPLORER! DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM
Beware of GRUPO XPLORER if you want to buy tickets for the Alhambra. Our tour was cancelled 6 days before the date by GRUPOXPLORER without giving any reason. You have to know that tickets for the Alhambra are sold out 3 to 4 weeks in advance so no chance to get a replacement. At 98 euros/ticket, the tickets from GRUPO XPLORER had already been almost 3 times as expensive as regular tickets for guided tours! Miraculously, we found another agency on viator.comm that suddenly still had tickets for the exact same tour, but these then cost us 180 euros/ticket. What a rip-off! My personal opinion is that this company cancels your bookings if they see a chance to make more money by selling your tickets to another travel agency or third party. The worst thing is that TRIPADVISOR / VIATOR work with such agencies.

As Viator use GRUPOXPLORER for their tours of The Alhambra, the company’s home town, I was confident that the tour would go ahead. But with a week to go, and no chance of getting replacement tickets, they emailed me to say the visit was off as the 360 Euros that they would receive was not enough. They asked me to call them for help but unsurprisingly the line was busy as they were probably dealing with other complaints. Don’t trust them.

Under no circumstances should you book with this company - buyer beware. We purchased tickets to tour the Alhambra with them and received a cancellation of our tour at 2:30 AM on the morning of the tour, leaving us with no options as tickets were sold out completely for days. Had we known they didn’t actually have tickets at the point I purchased, I would have gone with another agency. They offered no viable solution. If you are considering purchasing tickets with them because the main site is sold out, do not. Seek other tour providers. As you can see from comments, this has happened to several other travelers.

Don’t book with this organisation for Alhambra Granada!!!!! Our tickets were cancelled the day of our visit with this excuse:Dear Customer:We have contacted you from Alhambraygeneralife, in reference to today's visit to the Alhambra.Due to capacity reasons, we regret to inform you that we cannot provide the service. As indicated in the contract conditions, this may occur in high season.The hotel told as that this organisation sells tickets they don’t have.

I do not recommend this service!I bought 3 tickets to Alhambra for a total of 188.89 EUR. Since 2 of the tickets were intended as a gift, I filled in my data in all fields, because the system allowed it and the main thing that was indicated on the website - passport or ID card must be presented at the entrance. Since the gift is intended as a surprise for a friend and +1 for a person of her choice, it is logical that I do not have passport or ID card data. However, 2 days before the tour, I was contacted by an employee of Grupo Xplorer who wrote that this data was absolutely necessary. I explained that I can't get them at the moment, but everyone will have their documents with them. And the answer was that it cannot be done. Then I asked for a refund, but the company refused to do that as well. A spoiled birthday surprise, feelings about Spain and a trip to the Alahambra. Sad.

They are simply pathetic. We reserved 4 tickets (200€) for alhambra in Granada. They deleted all our reservations the same day of the visit. It s simply a shame. BE AWARE ON GETYOURGUIDE APP BECAUSE THEIR SERVICE WORK WITH GRUPOXPLORER TOO. Refund will be issued in 7/8 days.. they said.

Alambra guided visit ... Pure FRAUD
The biggest scam we have experienced in a long time. We paid 39 euros each for tickets to the Alambra, plus 21 management fees. Whatever that might mean. Our visit finished at 18h10. Just 15 mins later our bank account was debited 188 euros. 150 corresponding to "supplementary device" and 38 in management fees. In all our visit for 2 cost us 280 euros. With guide, poor level of English and talked a lot about...food and her English boyfriend. We have tried unsuccessfully to make any kind of contact over the phone. Pure premeditated? Fraud.

4 people- we got tickets for Alhambra for 37€ each.On official website :19.90€ for the WHOLE experience.They sent us tickets 5 min before the time we reserved, and we saw 10€ on each ticket.. but we paid 37€. For 37€ each we did not have access to the MAIN palace, the one we went for.They never explained to us where our 27€ each went and they answered us that it was our own fault (of course because we had to guess 37€ would not include everything, when the official tickets are 19.90€ maximum). Terrible customer service.

ALERT!! Don’t buy tickets for the Alhambra with this agent. You have the idea that you buy official tickets, but in the end it is a rip-off. You pay double price (normally all entrance including palace is € 19,- where we paid € 32,- but turned out we didn’t even had access to the palace!!When we called about this issue we asked their name to write a letter of complaint to the Junta de Andalusia and the Alhambra. They started to laugh really hard in the phone (like the Joker in Batman) and said their name was David Copperfield.

Please do not buy entry tickets via this agency to enter Alhambra, they are charging 10 Euros más per. ticket than the entry from the official Alhmabra Web site. They are cheating the tourists that are not aware that in order to buy the entry tickets they need to access the official patrimonio website. I bought the audioguide tour that I paid additionally. They are overcharging the tourists. Please avoid this agency. There many people that had the same experience. Please read the reviews .

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TRUST THE COMPANY. My wife and I had an agreed location and time for a pick-up for a guided tour, with transport, of Alhambra. The transport arrived 1 hour and 40 minutes late with the consequence that we arrived an hour and a half late for our tour. We had 30 minutes of what should have been a 2 hour tour, and the company consider that we have had our tour and are satisfied. They will not respond to any correspondence from England, so we are now corresponding with the Consumer Dept of the Regional Government.If I could give less than one star and still give a review, then I would do so.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

I have bought 2 tickets for a guided tour to Alhambra (including Nasrid palace) on 13th March 2018 (today) at 15:30 pm. When arrived to Alhambra entrance, our guide realised that they gave us tickets for a wrong day (15th of March). After waiting 40 minutes our guide managed to get us inside with new tickets which didn’t include Nazarles palace. I have paid 90£ for this tour and i am trying to get a refund, but after several emails both in Spanish and English nobody still replying to my e-mails. When calling they pretend that dont understand English, they are scummers avoid them !!!!!

The checkpoint was almost impossible to find and no sign no bus and no guide in described clothing. Booked English guide but guide was very poor in english. She spoke abort hoses which must have ben horses etc etcAlthough the guide Tour was supposed to be English there were fem spanish tourists so 65% og the touring was in SpanishYou are asked to be there 15 minutes before but a Tour at 17.00 was delayed to 17.40 it was said guide was NOT there but on tickets we could see that access was purchased from 18.30 and you are only allowed in 60 minutes before ticket time.The attraction closes at 20.00 so we had to rush through With little English guiding in a very very poor english. Bad experience.
