Since signing up for my insurance - Kylie has been wonderfully attentive and informative whenever a question arises. Amazingly quick response time and availability to hop on a call has been something I’ve been pleasantly surprised by and never experienced with traditional insurance. THANK YOU!

I was really excited to try this vs. COBRA, as I'm building my own small business back up. Looked amazing until I answered about having an autoimmune disease for which I take a cheap generic 2x/day. It immediately denied me. Would be MUCH better if it was a more comprehensive intake and just paid more. I read the reply to the other person's comment about the same, but even with the option to advocate, what an awful user experience. Literally the things include a migraine med, that they cover in the formulary btw, and everything from autism to arthritis was in the list (and they listed autism as an autoimmune disease too). I'm 47 and former rugby player and skiier, of course I have arthritis.I would fully expect to need to pay more but the immediate denial was shady. I guess it is legal b/c it is different than standard ACA rules, but the user experience would have been so much better explaining that in advance and not showing rates for decent insurance but then say "except for you".
Kylie and the entire team at Solo are top notch in professionalism, communication and service. Working as an entrepreneur can be tricky when it comes to health insurance, but we have been members for almost a year and it’s been great. Much more than expected. And the partnership with FitOn? You basically get a monthly credited class pass too! Thank you Solo.

Edit: Solo Health Collective has now updated its process to address this concern. As the flow has meaningfully changed for solo business owners, I have considered the responsiveness of the Solo leadership team to this concern and the new process flow, which does not automatically decline coverage in the case I mentioned. I have not been compensated nor encouraged to change this review; I merely wish to ensure that posted reviews are accurate and the original concern was addressed--- Went through the flow to price a plan, as a solo business owner. The price was presented, then when I took the next step, they asked whether anyone in the household was on a specific set of medications, probably as a proxy to determine if we had any of the more expensive medical conditions. In reality we might simply be ahem, losing weight... But upon saying "yes" to that question, I was immediately taken to a rejection screen that says :"Thank you for your interest in the Solo Health Collective! While it seems Solo isn’t the right fit at the moment based on your responses..."

A personal approach to finding the right plan for me and meeting me where I am with my health coverage need, Michael took the time to have a one on one conversation with me and then really spent time following up to make sure they could work with my current health providers, they really go out of their way and offer a very human experience!

I’ve had a wonderful experience with Solo Health! The customer service has been above and beyond any other health provider that I’ve used in the past. Any time I’ve had a question, I’ve gotten to talk to a real person and have always received a timely response. My plan is more affordable than what I was paying previously, and I’ve been happy with the coverage I’ve received. I will definitely be signing up with them again next year!
Michael is the absolute best. As it is my first year with Solo, I have had many questions along the way and the customer support team is excellent. He was extremely communicative, patiently explained all the answers to my questions, and gave very speedy responses. Between the affordable coverage and excellent customer service, Solo has been a game changer as a business owner.
I've had a fantastic experience and am saving SO MUCH compared to what I was paying on COBRA... My only feedback is I wish they did some advertising or something so I could've learned about them sooner! I've shared with many freelance/contract/self employed friends as well.
When I was looking for in-network care away from home, the customer service team helped me find a doctor who was in network and close by. I was amazed to get personalized assistance when I emailed for help.
Allison and Brian were incredibly responsive and helpful when we signed up for Solo Health Collective. They went above and beyond, making time for phone calls whenever we had questions. The same was true of Michael, who walked me through claims submissions with patience and good humor. In short, Solo Health’s customer service is excellent. Highly recommend!
