Spot on service from start to finish. The chair was delivered yesterday. Paul and Kartick the delivery men told us all about the chair, how to use it and gave a demonstration of the controls, nothing was a bother to them. A big thank you to all the staff.
Being unable to visit the store in Stockton Jacqui and Wayne came to our home and were very patient and helpful in assisting us with our choice of furniture Looking forward now to having it delivered if the delivery goes as well as the consultation I’ll be very happy.. From going into the showroom we were treated extremely well. Jill was knowledgeable about the products and ensured that we were happy with our choices. We were treated to a cup of tea whilst we finalised our purchase and at no time did we feel under any pressure to make a purchase. Very pleased with our choices
Have been thinking about getting a new, more supportive chair for my husband for sometime, something made in UK in particular. Called, arranged visit,Andy arrived after a 3 hour journey,with chairs to try cheerful,well mannered,informative, not pushy though guiding us with his knowledge of product
The delivery of my riser/recliner chair went smoothly and the delivery men Paul & Jon, were excellent and explained everything clearly
We visited HSL Chairs in Plymouth with my Mum, to look at Stressless Chairs, the assistant at the store Sue was very informative and polite, made us feel very relaxed and even made us all Tea and Coffee with Biscuits, we were even given complementary biscuits and teabags to take home. Would highly recommend this store.Thank youAlex.
We are on our 2nd riser recliner leather chair, the first being changed because after less than a year the colour started coming out of the leather. HSL agreed there was a problem with the leather not having been sealed properly after the dying process and replaced the chair.After being assured that this would not happen again we chose a different leather for our new chair and it was delivered. Now, only a year later the same thing is happening . This has been reported to HSL and they sent a technician in to do an inspection.The technician seemed to agree with us that there was a problem with the leather but when he reported back to HSL he said that he had told us that it was due to normal wear and that he had informed us of this and we were not at all happy! The chair is only a year old and very expensive!! On speaking with Simon of HSL he refused to accept that it was their problem and that it was down to normal wear and may have been caused by sweat or medicines leaking through the body.!! He also said that as we had paid extra for a higher quality leather this may also have been a part of the problem as the higher quality leathers were not given as much treatment as lower quality leathers and therefore were more likely to wear less well. He also suggested that as we had taken out an insurance with Guardsman for accidental damage we make a claim through them. This is not accidental damage and is therefore not covered by insurance!!Considering our previous problem and the fact that HSL are providing chairs for elderly people who are going to be giving the chairs a lot of use, if there is a problem with more expensive leather why in the world do they not tell customers this and not tell them there will be no problem!! Surely, as a leading supplier of furniture to the elderly they should make sure that what they are selling is suitable and if there is likely to be problems for whatever reason with leather they should talk this through with their customers.Having said all that we have owned 2 leather chairs before we became involved with HSL one of them still owned within the family and neither chair reacted to our use in the same way!!It seems to us that HSL are selling products that are not fit for purpose and then taking no responsibility when problems occur. Is it that they think their potential customer base is old and will not wish to become embroiled in long disputes?Please beware!!!
Re Veronica at St Leonards on Sea store. Not until our dotage had we visited this store, but from crossing the threshold we were greeted professionally + advised on what we had indicated we were looking for. Extended discussions re our individual needs (over delicious coffee!) finally secured a meaningful order with which we are very happy. Veronica was only too happy to share her knowledge + expertise without being purely sales orientated. Thank you Veronica, you did yourself + your company proud! 😊😊
The delivery of my suite and bed went smoothly and the delivery men Chris & Terry, were excellent. However, the collection firm arranged by HSL to pick up my bed failed to appear but Chris & Terry dismantled my old bed and put on the drive for "eventual" collection. HSL were badly left down by their subcontractor and it's such a shame as the suite and bed are superb.
HSL Chairs provided excellent customer service throughout and dealt with all my queries and delivery promptly. I'm very pleased with my Glenmore Fireside chair which is wellmade, comfortable and provides good back support.
We received a call 30 minutes before arrival from Paul and Asad. Both were friendly and professional with humour and put the settee up with ease. Provided literature for the settee.
Ian and Paul were both polite and professional in the delivery of our new furniture finishing the whole experience with HSL first class Dave & Helen Birmingham
The experience in the shop was good, but HSL delivery policy is nuts! I could not accept the first date they proposed so I expected a call back to give another option, but no, they have to wait until you have passed the first date before they can offer another date!!! If i cannot accept the second date I guess I will have to wait another 10 days. Thats no way to run a delivery service
HSL are marvellous because if you cannot get to showroom being of older generation or those disabled, they come to your home as they did to me. I experieced real care and prfessionalism. The riser chair that I chose was put together in my jitchen and Liz and driver John were so natural, no extreme sales pushing. They were both excellent and the biscuits were superb0
The delivery team Ian and Paul were polite and friendly they worked cleanly and removed all the packaging. And we were informed when they on they way.
We had a home visit. From Annie & Graham from Romford branch They made us feel at ease & made a few suggestions as to what chair would be right for myself & my husband .They knew their jobs regarding sizes etc .so pleased we called them look forward to our new chairs .
Craig and Danny let us know when they would arrive, checked where the chair would be placed before bringing it in. Fitted legs and set chair in place. They were pleasant and friendly throughout.Our visit to the showroom on 1st May in Stockport was very good and staff there were very helpful.
Martin and Jack delivered our stressless chair and footstool today. They were on time, friendly and efficient. The chair is great. Beautifully made and si comfortable. Hope our sofa is ready soon as we will be fighting over this chair.
