Ordered 3 models 11/25/24 as of 12/19/26 no items received. One email answered in a month. Tried calling their phone number talked to a guy once and assured me items would ship this week. That did not happen and when I tried calling him back, the phone number is disconnected. Stay away from this company. Excuses, Excuses,Excuses.
Internet hobbies is definitely a scam. I lost several hundred dollars two years ago when I placed an order that never shipped. Nobody answered the phones there was no reply to my emails, and yet there was activity on the website because there was new promotions and new products being shown so somebody was definitely operating on behalf of Internet hobbies the good news is I just spoke with the Pennsylvania Attorney General who informed me that I was gonna be receiving a partial payout as the class action lawsuit against Internet hobbies was successful. So not only are they a scam but they've also had legal action taken against them and have lost.
Have paid on day of order for three kits over 2 years ago and haven’t received anything! Emailed them constantly and never get a response! Orders are still listed in my account as unfulfilled!
Scam artists, have been sued by the PA DA for fraud. They also run the below sites so avoid at all costs. Hobby Wheels, Hobby Rails, Hobby Book Depot, Red Star Hobbies, Military Model Depot, Model Airplane Depot, Model Railroad Depot, Model Ship Depot, Gundam World Online, Model Kit Closeouts and Model Train Closeouts.
Buyer Beware of these frauds. Just wanted to get in my 2 cents worth. Over the years I had ordered a total of 7 items. 5 items were in stock, 2 were on back order. 3 items were set rather quickly. The other 4 were never sent. Sent many emails, never received an answer. No refunds were ever sent to a total of about $370 total. Filed a complaint with the BBB in the area.
Standard MO. I placed an order, they debited my credit card, they never delivered. Contacted credit card, got my money credited and warn others to not order from them. Use a reputable on line store.
If I could give them negative stars, I would. Ordered quite expensive kit from them, didn’t hear anything for a while. Tried contacting them, got no response. So I went through my cc company and charged my money back. Shortly after, I got a nasty email from them not to ever buy anything from their site again! Insane! Who does business like that??? STAY AWAY!!!
it has been over a year since i placed an order.order 3 kits,got 2 kits still waiting for the 3rd kit.i have sent e-mail after e-mail asking about the one kit and never heard back from them.had to send a e-mail after 6 weeks after i placed my order and then they sent 2 of the kits i ordered.DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FOR THEM...ALSO CHECK ALL THE BUSINESS THAT THEY HAVE UNDER THEM.THEN DON'T ORDER FROM THEM EITHER.......
This business is a scam. They take your money and never ship orders.

I placed an order for one model that cost $155.92 on 02/2020. In there add it never said it was on back order. Same as everyone called and emailed. Same story it is shipped. Then COVID happened and they used that excuse. What every modeler that has had a bad experience with this company is to wright to: Lauren M. She has been collecting evidence against this company. You may not get your money back but you can help put this company out of business and save other modelers from losing there money.

Hello,Never received my order or a full refund. They are horrible to deal with and very dishonest. Ended up finally getting a refund through my Credit Card company.Don't take my word for it look them up with the BBB which I filed a complaint with against Internet Hobbies.I also have there number as they don't publish one online if you need it (646) 208-8535.
I recently ordered two items from them. They shipped only one, and kept the rest of the money. They are not responding to inquiries. The company steals customer money, and should be shut down. Avoid them.
I ordered 5 models from Internet Hobbies and got a confirmation email. I was told that the order would ship in a few days. 2 weeks goes by and I hear nothing, no tracking number etc so I emailed them and asked for an update. The next day I received an email (Friday) that my order would ship out the following Monday. Monday came and went, nothing happened. Then I get an email telling me that I need to pay $23 more for shipping to "complete" my order. I looked at the order and one of the 5 models had been dropped, the cost went down and the "savings" went up. The shipping was flat rate $15 and now was up to $50.00 I paid the $23 extra and the order finally shipped a few days later. I got 4 models instead of 5. The one that was dropped was maybe out of stock... but the one that didn't arrive was $53.00 and totally different. Got 4 out of 6, paid for 5 PLUS extra shipping. I ran the shipping numbers off the box label and the shipping was $34.00 but they charged me $63.00 I sent an email describing the missing model and the fact that they hooked me for the extra shipping ($30 bucks worth) and I wanted my missing model. It took FIVE (5) weeks to just get this much. Since then NO communications and that has been almost a month. Pretty simple solution, they take your money, ship what they feel like and you can lump it. IF YOU ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE AFTER READING THESE COMPLAINTS then it is your fault. I didn't know. Lifetime of ordering NEVER had a problem with any company. SO now you have to read reviews and look up any place you send your money or don't complain when you get hooked. I wish to heck I would have searched FIRST. Go read the other complaints at other sites, even FINE SCALE MODELER magazine warns you that these people are crooks.
Internet hobbies is a fraudulent business. I ordered (3) models from them on 3/26/21, with a 2-3 day shipping per the information on their website. After a couple of weeks went by with no update on my order, I emailed them for status. They replied that my order was complete and would ship on 4/13/21. I never received the tracking number promised by them when the order left their warehouse, so I emailed them several times with no response. They finally responded on 5/4/21 sating that my order would ship the next day and I would receive a tracking number. Once again, no tracking number or confirmation was received. I emailed them back demanding a full refund, to which they replied "I have forwarded this email to my lawyer". I repeated my demand for a refund via email and the company replied "F OFF". I called my bank and reported the company as a fraud. My bank refunded my money, but I am inclined to warn others about this horrible company.
Put in an order of $198 in early April and $120 was immediately charged to my credit card. Since then, received no communication, no shipment of merchandise. Multiple emails sent to inquire my order status received no reply while at the same time, this scammer kept sending his ads to my inbox.
Ordered model paints from this store. There was no notice that the paints I ordered were out of stock. After several e-mails I finally received most of my order. This was several weeks later. One item was missing and continued to send e-mails asking when the item would be shipped, but no replies. Really poor service from this shop. I will shop elsewhere in the future.
I ordered and authorized payment for 5 model kits plus shipping for 5 kits. Without notice, my order was reduced to 3 kits. I was billed for the 3 kits plus the shipping for the original 5. Only 2 kits were actually shipped. Internet hobbies does not respond to emails and won't answer their phone.
Internet Hobbies – The world’s worst hobby store. Do not even think of ordering from them. They have only done one thing since I put in an order 12 months ago, take my money as soon as I put in the order, before they even checked they had the items in stock (web site implied that they were in stock, but they were not). They normally do not answer enquires, or just come back with ‘Will check when we open’, etc. (auto replies), but never ever have they responded after these short impolite replies. I have asked them to cancel the order on many occasions since they have no chance of getting the items in stock, but they just ignore ever request. Simply they are just thieves and liars. Everything they do (or is it don’t do) is worst practice.
