The frames are fine (two stars awarded) but the company's business practices are shocking, misleading, lazy and possibly fraudulent. A buy one get one free (BOGO) offer has been advertised across various platforms, emails, social media etc but if you reside outside the US, it is buy one ($175) pay double $450!I contacted the HMRC (UK tax office) they confirmed that an item(s) with a value of $175 should cost no more than $222 in total. Though no items are marked at $0 when sent, the value of the promotion means the second frame does have an intrinsic value of $0. In order to offer non-US customers the same offer as the US residents, the total price should be divided by two and that is what should be on the label for export. The combined value of the two items should be marked as $175. THERE IS NO COUNTER ARGUMENT. Don't bother arguing with me, argue with the UK tax office.I raised this with the company, they blamed everyone else and ignored 'their ability' to set the value on their export packages. They essentially ignored UK tax law by claiming the following generalised drivel:'Please note that while we set the product price and shipping fees, customs duties, taxes, and any additional carrier fees are determined by the destination country’s authorities and shipping carriers. These charges can sometimes include handling fees or other costs beyond standard government rates, which unfortunately are outside our control.'Yes, they 'do' set the product price. What 'is' in their control is how they chose to mark the value of the items they are selling on the packages meant for international export. If they want to offer a BOGO across all social media and then chose not to adjust the value of their products to match the same offer that US residents have, they are false advertising and discriminating against international customers. TO BE CLEAR - the price on the packaging should say $87.50 per pair so that the total ACCORDING TO HMRC is $222 NOT $450. That is 'completely' in their control and there's no point in blaming outside government rates. 'Oro' sets the price, either they adjust the value of their exports to create parity with US citizens or they don't. They drive traffic to their website with a bogus offer. When I replied to their dismissive excuses, they ignored the reply. I wrote again, again nothing. Two weeks have gone by, the emails referring to our tax office (who they are blaming) have been unreturned. No doubt they will either ignore this or reply with the standard deflective, non-responsibility taking, blame outside forces rubbish that most companies spew out when confronted with a bad review, they will no doubt blame an influx of emails they had to deal with over a sale period for not replying (which is BS) as they had no problem in returning the email the next day when they thought a sale was about to be made, but not when pressed by the UK's 'own tax office figures'!What's the result? They have lost a customer which clearly they don't give a rat's ass about because if they did they wouldn't make inaccurate excuses as to why international customers have to pay double. $87.50 per pair on the export documentation is 100% lawful. UK tax law is available for anybody to read. To suggest otherwise is disingenuous. There is no excuse or explanation that changes UK tax law. There is no explanation that excuses lazy opportunistic business practices. Advertising one offer that drives traffic when the advertising clearly doesn't reflect the reality of their pricing can be viewed as fraud. The next correspondence will be to the IRS and they can look into it.This is the kind of review you get when you take your international customers for fools.
I didn’t know that they wasn’t sunglasses when I ordered with the clear lenses
Cool glasses, Way over price for the quality. I’ve bought glasses similar to these off Amazon for $15- $30 and they feel just as cheap as them. Save your money and buy a real brand
