Word to the wise--dogs permitted and problems can occur. No avenues for assistance after normal business hours for this big complex.
Rented a villa in Sea Trail and had a problem with barking dogs below. I called the local police at 10PM since we could not sleep with the barking. Owners had left and finally came back at 10:30. Be aware this resort allows dogs. When I sent Affordable Properties an email about my issue I received no response. My wife called to speak with the on-site administrator two days later and left a message to return the call. She did not. The police officer who responded tried to reach someone who could provide info that night but could not contact anyone who could help. The resort and the rental agency (they own more than 40 units in this resort) need after hours assistance procedures. Final chapter in the saga--I ended up with a key scratch down the side of my van sometime that evening before I saw it the next morning.

STAY AWAY FROM AFFORDABLE LARGE PROPERTIES
In autumn of 2019, my wife and her three sisters reserved a condo in Myrtle Beach for early May of 2020. They sent a deposit of approximately $1800. They also paid for travel insurance. Then, the pandemic hit. Almost everything in Myrtle Beach was closed in May of 2020. Even the condo pool was closed. Air travel was not recommended either. Three of the sisters were from New York, where Covid was raging. Two of them worked in health care. Naturally, my wife and her sisters cancelled what would have been an ill advised trip. Travel insurance refused to cover this loss. AFFORDABLE LARGE PROPERTIES was slow to respond to emails. They refused to even discuss the situation on the telephone. So...during a pandemic when people were sick, dying, and travel was NOT RECOMMENDED, AFFORDABLE LARGE PROPERTIES wanted four New Yorkers to travel to a closed Myrtle Beach or lose $1800. They did lose the money. This was an extraordinary time. Refusing to refund this substantial deposit during a pandemic was a greedy, cheap, heartless act, no matter what the policy or agreement might have said. DO NOT RENT from AFFORDABLE LARGE PROPERTIES. You will end up with an UNAFFORDABLE LARGE SCREW JOB!

we are renting unit p204 at Village of the Glens - we are pleased with the condo - it is clean and the location is good - the only problem (it is a big problem) is the women in p104 below us because the noise from her stereo or tv is terrible - she turns up the sound from 5pm to 10pm and there is a constant thumping every night - we have to spend our nights watching our tv in the spare bedroom because the thumping noise is so loud in the living room - it is a shame this person is that inconsiderate

These people should be ashamed of themselves. This company has no regard for their customers especially during hurricane season. Please beware do not book with this company living nightmare! I never post reviews this is the saddest experience I have ever had!!

Unprofessional and rude
We were quoted a price and given a rental agreement to fill out along with payment. We completed our due diligence and completed the request that day. The website states that all quotes are all inclusive, no hidden costs. They contacted me 13 days later and say they did not include a base rate. That is unacceptable. I spoke with Parker Smith and he stated that it wasn't a contract because they haven't taken my money yet. I signed the agreement and gave payment info 13 days ago. It is not my fault that they quoted me a wrong price and they haven't run my card. Extremely unprofessional. As a renter, if I were to break the agreement, I would have been hit by cancellation fees, etc.

Awful choice
This Company was unprofessional, unreasonable, and rude. All they want is money and they will do anything to take advantage of it's renters. Save yourself the trouble and rent another property on Myrtle Beach.

Phenomenal vacation!
I recently stayed in one of Affordable Large Properties homes. The accommodations couldn't have been more perfect! Our group was made up of several families with guests ranging from ages 2-66. Everyone was pleased and we will definitely return next year! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
