STOP THE 4 QUESTION IDENTIFIER. DO THE 3, NAME, DATE OF BIRTH, PHONE NUMBER.

MEDSTAR HAD TO STOP ALL THESE 4 QUESTION- SECURITY WHEN CALLING THE CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST TO GET CONNECTED TO THE CLINIC OR GET A PRESCRIPTION REFILL. FIRST THEY ASK FOR PATIENT NAME, DATE OF BIRTH, PHONE NUMBER (WHICH IS OK), BUT ASKING FOR THE ADDRESS ON FILE JUST TO ASK FOR PRESCRIPTION REFILL IS TOO MUCH. C'MON NOW! ITS NOT THAT I AM ASKING FOR SOME PATIENT INFORMATION. AND WHEN YOU GET CONNECTED, THEY ASK THE SAME QUESTIONS AGAIN. OH MY LORD!

At Washington Hospital Center MRI's…

At Washington Hospital Center MRI's center.. I went to the MRI department, after an hour they informed the waiting room that they were running late. After the nurse poked me three time trying to get the port in the MRI technician had to do the job. The Siemans Machine was ten years old, small, uncomfortable, and noisy as a construction site. After an hour in the MRI it was discovered that the contrast injection had malfunctioned. The place is tired and the service perfunctory, clearly most of the employees are not trained in service. If you have a choice of MRI locations this is one to avoid.

Med Bill went from $350 to $1k because of new “Facility fee”

Medstar is an organizational nightmare to deal with. My IBD doctor was qualified, but clearly overwhelmed by patient volume and made reoccurring errors on lab orders (meaning I was forcefully getting blood drawn every month and had to fight nurses to cancel the orders) and was not timely in their responses to concerns. That said Medstars biggest issue is their billing department. Seems as though they’ve gutted it. No one can help, they can’t take payments over the phone, and they are reluctant to coordinate with co-pay programs which would facilitate patient billing and payment (affordability). Not to mention they hit me with a 300 percent increase on medication which took out of pocket costs from $350 to $1k because of “facility fees”. Leaving them in January 2026 and will be giving my money/benefits to a better provider. Stay away if you hate billing nightmares and dealing with doctors who have zero time for you. There’s much better care out there.

MEDSTAR HEALTH WHEATON MD

The intake was very pleasant, polite and efficient. The PA was very good as were the other in-person personnel (EKG, X-RAY).My concern was with the physician who spoke to me via Telehealth visits. She did not listen to me and did not have accurate knowledge. She did not address the problem, instead she told me to see my cardiologist immediately to change my blood pressure medication.Firstly, one of my medications (atenolol) was not even listed on my paperwork even though I had put it down as one of my medications; t should have been in my chart from previous Telehealth visits for this bout of sinusitis. The physician apparently was not aware that the prescribed antibiotic, Azithromycin, could cause my symptoms: chest pain and headache. I wanted to eliminate the possibility that I had pneumonia or bronchitis. I am relieved that I do not have either of these and have eliminated them, but I came away very angry and skeptical about the care and competence of MedStar Urgent Care and will avoid this service in the future.

🏥 **Huge thanks to MedStar Montgomery…

🏥 **Huge thanks to MedStar Montgomery Medical Center** 🙏 On June 18, 2025, I received an urgent early-morning call about critical bloodwork results. I rushed to the ER overwhelmed, afraid, and convinced the worst. From the moment I arrived, I was met with kindness, clarity, and compassion. Shoutout to **Nathalie, Flavie, and Natcha** in the ER—you kept me calm when I was anything but. **Dr. Sharma** took the time to sit with me, explain everything, and draw out the full picture of my health. **Dr. Doratotaj** reassured me it wasn’t cancer and promised to follow up. And to **Dr. Janicic-Kahric**—my guiding light in this whole journey—thank you for your patience (and I admit, I should’ve listened sooner).Lesson learned. Forever grateful. 💙 #MedStarMontgomery #PatientCare #ThankfulHeart #HealthcareHeroes ---Want a version for X (Twitter) or LinkedIn? I can tailor it to the tone and character limits.

It's a great clinic in every way

It's a great clinic in every way. From the appointment process to the examination and even the post-examination support, it is an excellent clinic that makes the patient comfortable and makes things easier for them. We have been going to see Ece Aslan, my son's pediatrician, for two years and the whole Medstar family, especially Ece Aslan, has always been with us with their constant support, knowledge and experience. We are happy to come to Medstar, always!

Worst experience of all time

Worst experience of all time. Went to ER with chest pains. I wasn't seen for 14 hours. Then they couldn't even correctly bill the insurance I provided, so I got sent the bill. Been trying to reach someone to resolve the issue but there is zero support. Phone support goes nowhere, just puts you on hold for 30 mins then hangs up. Chat support goes nowhere. Messages go nowhere. Honestly, at this point, just staying home and getting a heart attack would have been better than going to this hospital.

By law, patients are entitled to itemized bill.

Not only I received terrible care August 18-25, at their Washington facility, where their night nurses are abusives, but when it comes to billing, they refuse to provide itemized bills to a patient. I called their Boston office 11/01/23, asking for an itemized bill but NEVER received it. When I called 11/10/23 asking for an itemized bill again, not only I was on hold over 15 minutes, but then, the woman hung up on me! Do they thing they are above the law?

Billed me for double what they said…

Billed me for double what they said they would do. Waited on hold forever and when I talked to someone, they told me to email them. I did, and they never responded.
