We have the Basalt ST orange color which was the only color available at the time of purchase, a little disappointing at the time, but great for high visibility in today's distracted text while driving. The bike seams to be of high quality materials and are well packaged. These bikes are large & heavy, typical of most fat tire ebikes.My wife is 5' 2" so the bike is slightly large for her. If you are on the shorter side I would recommend the Scoria, which we purchased for our Daughter (4'10") as a college graduation gift. She loves it and so do I. We have been having extreme cold, snow and ice so we only have 25 miles +/- on these bikes. FEDEX shipping was bad, one bike showed up, the other did not, tracking showed it sitting in the local distribution center for over a week. One call to Mokwheel and they got FEDEX straight.Mokwheel customer service has been great. We had follow up phone calls on shipping and at least 2 phone calls to ask if were were having any issues with the bikes.Hopefully we can have a little better weather and put these bikes to a real test.

Quality and capabilities far above the price
I've owned several ebikes. The Mokwheels are well conceived and well built. I bought myself an Obsidian last year, and my girlfriend (I want to marry this woman) a Basalt this year. The bikes are well packaged, and easy to assemble - you even get a nice set of tools with them instead of a cheap use once and toss set. FWIW: I'm 6 foot 3 and weihh 250lbs. I ride my Obsidian hard - and thr only thing I've broken is a mirror (yeah, the tree branch won that one). My girlfriend loves the Basalt. One thing that has surprised both of us - is how far we can ride, even when using the bikes as electric motorcycles.

Mokwheel Asphalt eBike Review
I ordered the Mokwheel Asphalt eBike as a birthday gift and it arrived in three days. The eBike was packaged extremely well and there were no damages nor missing parts. Assembly was very easy. I recommend watching the assembly video on the Mokwheel website to get a fast start on putting the eBike together. I have ridden 185 miles in my first month and have had no issues. My knees no longer hurt after returning from a ride and I still get plenty of exercise. I love the five levels of power assistance, and I can easily cruise at fifteen miles per hour or reach speeds up to thirty miles per hour (this was going slightly downhill in PA5 and peddling aggressively). The only thing that has happened that was unexpected is I had a flat rear tire. The good news is, I watched one online video on changing an eBike's rear tire and I was able to remove the rear tire and install a new inner tube and reinstall the wheel with ease. My compliments to Mokwheel for making this procedure so uncomplicated.I have yet to test just how far I can go before completely draining the battery, but I have been on a twenty-two-mile ride and still had four bars out of ten remaining on the battery life. Overall, I am very pleased with the Mokwheel Asphalt eBike and I look forward to every ride.

I bought the Mokwheel Obsidian during a Black Friday special. The deal was great and included a lot of accessories. The spare battery is less than half the price of other companies which is amazing. It's a great bike. Their customer service caught my attention. I received a call from a Mokwheel customer service rep on how my experience is going. I said the bike was great and I was having a lot of fun. I mentioned in passing that I was missing a nut cover for the rear nut. They followed up promptly and the nut cover was mailed promptly. I was blown away by how attentive they were.If you're thinking about buying an ebike, Mokwheel should be top on your list.

We have owned two Mokwheel bikes for about a year now, and are very happy with them. But one of the bikes developed an issue with the headlight. I contacted customer service and they went above and beyond to fix the problem, they responded quickly and immediately sent a replacement part. Basalt bike forks and brake problem
Basalt bike arrived with forks that are not properly fit for the disc brake. I believe this can be remedied but only if they either answer their phone or return the calls/email. Stay tuned, I will be reporting how this turns out. Got a quick response and great help from Chad. Replacement parts are on there way.

As a long time road and mountain bike rider, I had mixed thoughts about an e-Bike. I bought my Basalt Mokwheel bike to use in quietly accessing large tracts of land and unimproved trails. I was thoroughly impressed by the bike's endurance and ability to climb steep grades with peddle assistance. Customer support was excellent and the bike's quality is exceptional. The Basalt Mokwheel exceeded my expectations at every level.

I bought the Basalt wide tire for desert riding. I am with a group and the rocky terrain is killing their backs. Not mine! At 57 I knew I needed to research and invest well on my ebike and I am so happy with my choice. Everyone loves the color too. The accessory bundle was included in my purchase. The additions were perfect except I did opt for a better air pump and didn't install the basket.

My wife and I purchased two Basalt ST e-bikes during Mokwheel’s Black Friday sales. As such, we received the free accessory pack and free bike rack. We have ridden our bikes approximately 150 miles and are thrilled with them and with the additional accessories. We love the look and feel of the bikes with their big tires, comfortable seats and very well designed and useful “rear bike pack”. We can go to the grocery store and fit quite a bit of groceries in the rear fold out saddle bags with no problem. The bikes also do very well and are stable on dirt pats given the big beefy tires. I also want to comment on my experience with Mokwheel’s customer service. When my two bikes arrived, unfortunately, one of the rear tire tubes had a small hole in it. This may have happened during shipping or somewhere else, but after contacting customer service, they immediately to care of it and sent me a replacement tube. Of course, this built my confidence in Mokwheel and their treatment of their customers. In addition, I had one other issue with one of my phone holders and Mokwheel customer support also took care of that issue. Needless to say, I am thrilled with my bikes and thrilled with Mokwheel as a company.

No cadence
First off I am 63, and have 3 other ebikes from several brands currently. My wife and I, ride approximately 1500 miles a season. This tarmac is, really so far a very nice riding and looking ebike. The marketing online stated this bike had both cadence and torque. All my other ebikes are cadence only. So I know this bike doesn't do cadence, not in my opinion anyway. Still fit and finish are great. Rides nice, good brakes, very comfortable riding position. I am using the stock seat too. Riding on pas 3, I got approximately 35 miles before the battery was started to fade to two bars. Could have gone a little farther, but not much. I have just under 100 miles, in three weeks. So far so good out of the box no issues. Resetting the riding time, and trip aren't as easy as it is on several of my other ebikes. In the end, great bike, and one of my favorite rides so far. Very comprehensive, and nice tool kit was also included in the box.
