"Promises Half Kept"From the point of inception up to the point of completion of my book the process went very well. However, from that point on, the follow-up and an advertised promise had completely broken down.It all started on July 1, 2024 when the project manager told me that he had enough material to complete my book. He then asked me how many of my books I would like to have printed for me to purchase. I told him I would I would take 10 after which I asked him how much it would cost. He told me $20.00 per book. Thinking I was getting 10 HARDBACK books, I agreed. I later found out that when they came online with Amazon, that was, indeed, the price per hardback book. Then he told me that the full price, including shipping, would be $254.00. Although that seemed a little steep for shipping I still agreed since I would be getting my hardback books "hot off the press". From that point on it became a waiting game. I still have not received 10 hardbacks but after many weeks I did receive 10 paperbacks which means I spent almost twice the price of the Amazon price ($10.99). He also sent me a link to a page at Barnes and Noble which would be required of me to fill out before my books could be included in their inventory. This, I did. (The project manager said he would handle the rest.) This still has not been done.Nimbus Publishers also advertised that my book would be in the inventory of Barnes & Noble. This has not been done. I went to our local store (recently) to find out what it would take to add my book to their shelves on my own. They gave me a list of their requirements which includes the TITLE AND NAME OF THE AUTHOR on the SPINE OF THE BOOK. Only the TITLE is included on MY book spine. This issue has never been resolved.(This review has been greatly abbreviated)

Update from my previous comments: I sent a certified letter and a regular letter through the post office to the address listed on their website. Both letters were returned to me. They do not have an office in California. This is fraud. I received an email from the new project manager, Sal. She wrote:We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. To resolve this matter promptly, we would like to refund your money. Kindly provide your bank details or share a Stripe link where we can process the refund.At Nimbus, we deeply value our client relationships and regret that things had to come to this. Nevertheless, we hope to close this matter on a positive note.Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to your response.** I was able to respond and email did not get kicked back.There is no way I am giving them my bank information. I have reported them to the Better Business Bureau.

Beware! Nimbus Publisher is a Scam!
We have been working with Chris Walker and Nimbus Publishers for almost a year. Everything was going good. Just up until November 12, 2024. Then out of no where he vanished. The website, email, phone and text do not work and no reply has been made. Chris if you see this, you have all my intellectual property. We will be contacting lawyers and the FTC in regards to the theft of intellectual property and publishing laws. We are at the final step of publishing and you have disappeared!!

We started out very well. Chris Walker, publisher for Nimbus was very helpful in getting me acclimated with the undertaking of getting my novel published. He would return calls and e-mails promptly and answer questions during the editing process.Initially there were some publishing errors coming back to me where sentence structures were changed and run on sentences corrected and several word omissions that I picked up on. Through almost daily edit revisions these errors were corrected and things moved along. The editing period in my opinion was longer than what was told to me. On several occasions thereafter I had almost no communication with my publisher and had to message, call and leave voice mail until he responded, often apologetically. I received a call right before publication encouraging me to publish on additional 40 platforms which I turned down. The book was published and went out on Kindle, Amazon and Barnes and Nobel. The novel is a mystery set in Maine’s great North Woods. I was told by Chris that the book was really done well and has great market potential. As my novel rolled out I was initially promised I would receive 5 hard copies as part of my signing agreement. That has not happened and several emails and phone messages continue to go unanswered and shipping numbers for the books that were promised to me by Chris are yet to arrive, to say that I am disappointed is an under statement…it is too bad that I have to put these comments to pen but necessary so that future writers see some of the pitfalls of first time authors and the frustrations that come into the picture. I am into my books sequel but I will be researching in earnest for a new publisher once I am ready to publish.UPDATE: After my initial review Nimbus did send me copies of my Novel and apologies for missed communications and long delays. It is my hope that this experience I have had will help Nimbus publishers do a better job of staying in touch with their clients and keeping them up to speed every step of the way!
