READ BEFORE USING OPTION CARE
READ BEFORE USING OPTION CARE. I am an enteral patient, I have been getting my tube feeds, supplies, and pump/pole from Option Care for about a year and a half. I discontinued use a month and a half ago, and had been trying to get in touch with the enteral department to return the supplies. Over the course of a month I had called on numerous separate occasions and had not been able to speak with someone who could help. The billing department AND customer service reps continued to say they couldn't help and sent me to the enteral department. The enteral department seems to not have any live human who can help very often. Over the past month I had left 4 voicemails for the enteral department, had waited on hold on two separate occasions each time for an hour, and had sent 4 separate requests on their online contact request form. All of this to say, they are extremely hard to get in contact with. That being said, once I FINALLY got in touch with a live person at the enteral department, they did work swiftly to get my supplies returned. I requested to have the last bill removed as I had been trying to return all supplies for over a month, and the representative agreed to inquire with billing to see if they would remove the extra charge (for the month that the pole and supplies should have been returned). TBD on that. Outside of this issue, during the year and a half that I rented supplies there weren't issues. Ordering online was easy and supplies always came in a timely manner.

What a scam
My husband was hospitalized a total of 17 days for an infection and was released from the hospital with a Pic line and needing antibiotic infusions for 6 weeks. Hospital started him with option care, stating that was our option and we were told his bill would be 140.00 a week for 6 weeks. I thought my husband was going to die with out the medication so yes, I signed. We have medicare and a drug plan as well as a supplement . Man many phone calls with many different people, didnt change a thing. Finally our insurance agent got involved, because Medicare told me that it was a medical necessity and should be covered. After several phone calls by our agent it was discovered that the order was being coded wrong and that's why it wasn't covered. Did this fix it, no. Our agent was told on the last phone call that, we agreed to pay. We finally, after over 800.00 talked with prescribing doctors office and was able to change the pharmacy and now it is covered all but 5.00. They know they can't get as much from medicare so they took advantage of our desperation and I signed under duress. This should be illegal and they should be ashamed of scamming money out of patients in this way.

Poor customer service for the enteral…
Poor customer service for the enteral department. It takes forever for them to answer and when they do they have an attitude.

Absolutely terrible service
Absolutely terrible service. No one ever answers the phone or returns call. We have left multiple messages and calls are NEVER returned. This is unacceptable for a health care company.

They too hidden no way to contact.
Well im on iv antibiotics not supposed to miss a dose but here i am no meds if this infection gets worse because of it i just might sue. I been trying to reach someone all day. Its impossible. I went to thier office in houma la. Today expecting to get my meds and supplies. Not only did i not get them but the nurse there did nothing to help me find out when or if they would be delivered. I was told to bring my own supplies in with me next time to change my pick line dressing and the saline and hep to flush... I called nola and they did not help me. Told me they would call me back in 15 min. Nothing. Its 10:47pm and no meds yet. I missed my dose for today. When they do deliver its always 10:30 pm or later. Im calling to get my meds tomorrow. From the hosp. And report this shifty company. They really messed me over.

Bad Management
OC is one of the most mis-managed medical companies I have ever tried to obtain services from. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, the communication is poor, management has understaffed them or they cannot find employees that actually care about their work. I did not feel like "Part of the Family" as their out going voicemail tells how you will be treated. Do not believe management when they tell you they are addressing these issues. Believe EVERY bad review here. I do, now that I've been dealing with them for a week. Avoid. I finally went to another provider as this company has bad management.

This review is based on Missy Quach. She is amazing! She helped me through the IV procedure. I fractured my shoulder with the picc line. She was very sympathetic & made sure I got my meds.

Does anyone at Option care's "Centers…
Does anyone at Option care's "Centers of Excellence" ever answer the phone or return calls? When they finally get around to returning your call, they want you to go to a different "Center of Excellence" than they used last month. Of course, the number is different than the preceding month so there is no caller ID. So it looks like any other spam call.Which brings me to -- Why are they expecting me to give my credit card info to a call center in India? So you try their online reordering, which proudly announces that the link has expired five minutes after they text you. The irony is that I have been with them 7 years and every month they make it more difficult. Another American company desperately trying to go out of business.

Delivery Errors
Two out of three deliveries were incorrect. The first failed to send saline solution and Heparin. The second delivery sent Saline Solution labeled as Heparin. Also the ice pack in the second delivery was thawed. If you try to call you don't know which number to pick. Most of the time you have to leave a voicemail message that they never bother to return. They need to staff their facility properly and hire people who realize that mistakes can cost lives!

The GOOD and the BAD
The GOOD and the BAD. Good - They deliver my medication on time, the people on the phone and delivery drivers are friendly and try to be helpful. BAD - they send me items I don't need or want ALL THE TIME. I have called over 7 times to say "stop sending me X" (for example saline flushes, or heparin, or blood draw kits, or something else) and then the next delivery comes and the item I don't need is included. Someone gets charged for all this stuff I don't need, either myself, or the government or the pharmacy plan. Plus I have a ton of stuff to store or toss. Maddening.

Why is my wife being billed before medicare for charges…
Why is my wife being billed for charges before you even bill medicare? I've paid over eight hundred to option health care and they have yet to bill medicare. NOT PAYING ANOTHER PENNY TILL THEY BILL MEDICARE!!!

Communication/Pharmacy
I’m so fed up with Las Vegas business office. How many times do I have to give them info so they can bill my Grant? Incompetent Staff. People are leaving due to business office. Pharmacy communication sucks. I’m seeing a new Neurologist because my other one moved and not practicing anymore. I get an IV infusion every 2 weeks without it or skipping my symptoms come back. I would think the pharmacist would inform me that I needed new orders for my infusion but needed to see my Dr. first and then Option Care pharmacy would send the order to be signed. So it was a rush job and I was embarrassed that I just met my new Dr. and he had to rush and sign the order. Talked to Jessica that I was unhappy that I wasn’t informed about seeing my new Dr. right away if I had not seen him yesterday I would have missed my infusion that is scheduled for tomorrow.I did raise my voice to Jessica the manager of pharmacy , she said we take good care of you….i said what ?! One time I waited almost 3 hours for my medication. She then said “ so you don’t like your nurses” OMG! She changed the conversation from her to the nurses!? I absolutely adore my nurse , Anna at Las Vegas clinic. Also Teresa the scheduler is awesome! I do have to admit that I’m getting my med from pharmacy at a timely manner now. Communication from Pharmacy would have prevented my stress and anger from them. 1 star to Las Vegas pharmacy because disorganized and communication to the customer sucks!

How are they allowed to perform infusions when they're this disorganized?
I have had my infusions at Option Care every month for the past year and have had so many issues. I'm at my wits' end. I need my medication and I'm trapped because this is the only company that my insurance will cover.Just a few of the main problems:-Rescheduling my appointment without telling me (until I show up) and insisting that I'm just crazy when I say I was scheduled-No transparency about my medical records-Saying I need labs when I just did them and insurance won't pay for them this soon-Harassing me about bills that are not itemized or clear or even correct (quite literally harassing me while the nurse is accessing me for IV and it's supposed to be a sterile environment)

This is a terrible company
This is a terrible company. I just got the final invoice on six weeks of infusion. It was $400 more than they told me it would be if you have any choice. Do not use this company.

I’m with option care for iv antibiotic…
I’m with option care for iv antibiotic supplies and a different homecare agency. First told me a high figure and I was going to have to go to a SNF as I couldn’t afford. When my daughter offered to pay to keep me in the home, I was told a different, higher fee. To woman’s credit (I’m sorry, I forgot her name), she got a lower price which was affordable. Thank her so much for that!!Then i ran out of dial flow tubing and it took 3 calls from me and 1 from RN for a call back. I got the tubing just a few hours before due. Told should be using tubing twice, when it’s very clearly marked Single Use Only marking on the iv bag. I am a RN and know it’s no longer sterile once used. Supervisor approved me getting more, but said homecare setting can use twice. Also, didn’t receive enough blue caps for my tubing. Will call today. This is my first homecare experience and it seems, imho, they should be more organized, but I will continue to work with them for a better experience.

They won't return calls
They won't return calls, sent bill to wrong address even though they had correct address. Billing and customer service are terrible.

Never, EVER use this company!!
Not once, not twice, but three times I was given incorrect information, billed for a service I never received but what I did get was lots of twisted "facts" from the rep Sierra, and plenty of medical gaslighting. They stole my money for services never given and even after filing a complaint with the BBB they ignored the complaint and I never got my money back. Stay away from this company, they are thieves and do not care one bit about people who are chronically ill.

My 6 month old was admitted to the…
My 6 month old was admitted to the hospital as a direct result of their horrible customer service! My son's feeding pump has been acting up since we first got it, but I was usually able to reset it. This became more frequent, so I finally called customer service to tell them about it. They said they would get a new pump out to us. It arrived around 9:30 that evening. I had to exchange the pump we had to the guy dropping it off. I set up the replacement and it does not work AT ALL (and now the old pump is gone). Customer service is closed at this hour so I'm stuck. I spent the entire night refilling a 60ml syringe (every 2 hours) and slowly, manually pushing my son's feed into him. The following morning, I tried calling customer service. I was disconnected several times, left several messages and got nowhere. In the meantime, I set up the gravity feed set that they provided. Shortly thereafter, I learned: DO NOT USE A GRAVITY FEED SET FOR A BABY! The only method of controlling the feed rate is a very finicky roller valve. The rate would increase and decrease depending on his breathing. He fell asleep and his calm breathing caused a rapid increase in the drip until suddenly he began to projectile vomit and have explosive diarrhea simultaneously. I called his GI doctor and was advised to bring him the the ER and have him assessed. Also, at this point, that's the only way I can get him fed since I don't have a functional pump and cannot reach anyone at Option Care to help. The doctors even tried to step in and expedite getting us a new pump so that we could go home and they couldn't make any progress with the company either. So, my son is admitted to the hospital and given IV fluids and sugar to combat his dehydration and hypoglycemia since I've not been able to feed him and we're finally feeding him with their working pump until Option Care gets us functional equipment.A little more info:My baby has had a feeding tube since November 2024 and we were set up with Option Care for his supplies. We received our first supply order quickly but it's all gone downhill from there:Any time I call them, I'm on hold for at least 30 minutes and often get disconnected before anyone answers.I once requested, by name, 3M Cavilon barrier film to protect his skin and instead I received 1100 3x4" catheter dressing films that are completely useless to me.When he had surgery to change his ND tube to a GJ tube I was told that the new supplies would arrive before we were discharged from the hospital. Instead, the day after we left I received a call asking if I really needed those supplies and then they finally arrived 3days after we got home. Thankfully the nurse at the hospital sent us home with some extra supplies, otherwise as would've had to go back to the hospital while waiting for our Option Care supplies to arrive. When we finally received the new supplies they were useless. The extension tubes they sent (that I later learned leak half the time) had threaded connectors that our previously supplied syringes would not work with. I called and after 45 minutes was told I'd receive the correct syringes the following day. A week later, after not receiving anything, they told me there was no previous order for them and again told me they'd arrive the next day, finally 3 days later they did.I am now in the process of finding a new supply company, enough is enough!
