We rented an expensive apartment in Barbados from Redawning for 5 days. Aircondition did not work for 3 out of 5 days, 1 day no hot water, electricity failure (only our apt) for hours. Redawning refunded less than 5% for a vacation that was 50% diminished. Legally, a refund for these failures would be around 40%. We have to sue them now (1st time in 40 yrs. of traveling) because this is F-R-A-U... Besides, we found out, that a year before, they did the same with a portuguese couple, no A/C, minimal refund.

We booked a very expensive ($18,000+)…

We booked a very expensive ($18,000+) St. Augustine vacation rental through Red Awning. What a disaster! After accepting the booking, they notified us that the property was unavailable due to plumbing issues. Obviously a major screw-up between the owner and Red Awning. They were completely Unhelpful about finding an alternative. They then cancelled the booking with VRBO but told them that WE had cancelled the booking. As a result, VRBO is charging us $634 in fees!!!!!! I have had 2 infuriating conversations with Red Awning and they have been completely unhelpful and told me that I will need to contact VRBO to get my money back for Red Awnings screw-up!!!!! Run, don't walk away from this horrible bunch.

I made a reservation with them for new…

I made a reservation with them for new years in October for 10adukts in the poconos today dec 23 they cxl my reservation with no explanation I noticed they do this a lot do yourself a favor stay away from this company thank god Vrbo was able to help out and booked us a better place and picked up the difference stay away from this company

Full of bugs Beds were not usable

Full of bugs Beds were not usable. Had metal poking up on both beds, screaming kids until 1 o’clock in the morning, banging on the walls and screaming rundown building when we asked for another unit, the other unit was exactly the same had bugs in it run down worthless bed the owner that told us that if we wanted a refund we had to turn over the keys and leave right now that was at 1:30 in the morning we had to sleep with our car on the streets of St. Croix. This owner never responded to Orbitz to give us a refund. This is a dishonest organization. I wouldn’t book anything from this owner or this company..... I never received a refund.....

RedAwning a nightmare, lodging okay

RedAwning is a nightmare to work with. RedAwning got my incoming date wrong - not what I wanted to deal with after a long day of travel. After some desperate phone calls, a couple of customer service agents, and much time on the phone we were finally able to get in just before midnight. We had shopped on our way and our refrigerated goods were all rotten by then. The kitchen had not been cleaned. They said they would send someone, but there was no evidence of that happening. I ended up scrubbing the kitchen down, including cleaning dead beetles out of the silverware drawer. The customer service reps said they would get back with me about compensation. I never heard from them. I wrote that we were leaving on check out day, and said I was still waiting to hear about a resolution to the problem. I got a reply… my compensation, sorry about that. And if you need anything during your stay to contact them. I just told them I was leaving. After contacting them a few times, I was told the team was giving me a $100 refund on about a $450 a night stay. We stayed for 5 nights. I wrote asking how they achieved that amount. It has been 4 days and I still am awaiting a reply. The lodging was okay - a bit like staying at Grandmas house, complete with the dust and spiderwebs. But RedAwning is a no go for me.

I rented a property 3 months ago and…

I rented a property 3 months ago and had a lot of issues. When the property owner didn't send the refund they promised I reached out to customer service. The initial intake went well but then I had to email them multiple times to get a response. Still waiting on my refund. I spend a lot of money on this property and it WAS not worth it.

Keep it simple

There are too many different company’s communicating with me….it is confusing. I only want 1 company sending me communications and business,not 5 or 6.

The property is next to a small creek

The property is next to a small creek, which makes for a quiet and relaxing environment. Having coffee outside on the small porch area in the morning was the highlight of our stay. The creek and view were amazing as we saw some deer grazing next to the creek. The downside to our stay was the fact that the property needs some attention; you can see that a lot of effort was made in upgrading the kitchen area, the tile backsplash, and the new cabinets are really nice. The mattress needs to be upgraded, and both the shower and bathroom sink are slow to drain. The thing that stood out the most to me was the lack of attention to the property itself. There are spiderwebs along the railings. walls, the undersides of both porches. It just seems like no one has given any attention to these small details for a very long time.

Hosts beware

Hosts beware. Do not list with this rental platform. The communication, follow through, and payment processes are horrible! It has been 2 weeks since we hosted a two-day rental and no one has responded to a single email that we have sent and we have had to involve the Better Business Bureau of the polarimo County California local licensing board. Do yourself a favor and read the Better Business Bureau and all reviews that aren't published by Red awning as they are biased. Unless you feel like being constantly managing right awning more than you would have managed your own platform or property. They are simply a high price listing service that expects to get cleaners through turno and maintenance through Thumbtack and will say they are a full service platform but they are no service platform. Please do your homework and believe the things you read

Lack of professionalism and knowledge

I had a very disappointing experience with RedAwning, specifically with a representative named Scott. He was not only unhelpful, but he also demonstrated a complete lack of knowledge. Instead of trying to help or offer solutions, he was dismissive throughout the call and ultimately hung up on me before I had even finished speaking. This behavior is completely unacceptable. It has caused me to lose all trust in RedAwning.

12 stars!!! (Inside joke with the host.) The place was clean and spacious and the host was great. I brought my son here for his 29th birthday to hike the rocks. The cottage provided everything we needed including a spectacular view of Seneca Rocks.

Red Awning were great had a couple of problems with the bookings . They were on it right away. It was a booking spot I rented before. They provided great service to help me with securing my spot.

You canceled my reservation not me

You canceled my reservation not 20 minutes before we arrived from Boston. Your site and Latch were terrible to use.Fortunately Airbnb Bailed us out. I will never use your site again. No one responded from customer service or timely on your live chat.Nothing was any good, we took a risk trying new site, and won’t do that again.

Thorough reservation process

I understand that the deep scrutiny me and my credit card underwent was aimed at ensuring that only quality customer are given green light on the premises. I am looking forward to experiencing the same kind of quality in terms of hospitality once there. Having appreciated the thoroughness of the reservation process I am sure I will not be disappointed
