The BEST delivery Man

The delivery guy, Juan, went ABOVE and beyond helping me with my delivery today. I was expecting 1 box of flooring that weighs about 40-50 pounds. I was completely surprised when I had 9 boxes on a pallet.Juan unload the boxes on the pallet onto the area by my front door of my condo building. As, I went inside to get the cart for the boxes , he cut the boxes loose from the pallet. THEN this was even BETTER, he would not allow me to load the boxes onto the cart. He loaded all 9 boxes then pushed the cart into the lobby where I took over. He deserves some recognition for his Above and Beyond work.

Unload your own delivery or don't have it

We aare a woman owned business of happy go seniors. We are not informed we would be required to unload the pallet ourselves they showed up 5 hours late and when they got there till they would just leave the pallet in the snow and below freezing weather for the equipment to be destroyed finally after calling their company the driver said he might be able to come back at noon for us to have some people who could unload the truck for him because it's not his job worst company ever you would think they would let you know to have people unload your own freight never have I had to unload my own freight that wait over 500 lb usually it's dolled in it's a giant pallet with multiple boxes this was the most unprofessional worst company to have things deliver through in all my years so you pay top dollar just to have it driven you have to take it off yourself and it is not in good condition when it got there if you're ever told that you're delivery has to go through r&l find a different company to do your freight or delivery pay extra I'm telling you you don't want them delivering your products. And it's set on a dock somewhere for like 6 days before they even brought it and canceled twice on us

The hr department specificly lauree…

The hr department specificly lauree fouler is a dishonest liar and a hot head she descriminates and doesnt take accountability. My fellow employees were great until they were told to beware of a criminal. The company is shady and i wouldnt reccoment to my worst enemy. It was a very unpleasent experience.

Terrible delivery experience, dropped items off miles away from our house

We recently had quite possibly the worst delivery experiences with R&L Carriers. We paid $500 for the delivery of our home gym equipment, and both times the driver (Dylan from R&L Carriers) dropped off our items on the main road, which was miles away from our house, and was unwilling to help us move it. We're now stuck with these gigantic delivery boxes and pallets in our driveway that are blocking other neighbors as well...If you're a company looking for delivery partners, highly recommend looking elsewhere – R&L Carriers is completely unreliable.

Absolute worst company ever

Absolute worst company ever! Literally Dropped my moms brand new stove that i purchased on the road and left it. My mother, who is handicapped, is now unable to get this onto her property let alone now into the house... Never have had a company claim they are unable to atleast place it onto the porch! Do not recommend this company for anything! not even worth one star!!!!! Not sure why any company would want to use them for their delivery service. They are not even carefull when delivering. So awful! Check your delivery services before you purchase! This company is a complete JOKE!!!!!

Horrible service

Horrible service.Delivery was supposed to be Tuesday, they rescheduled for Thursday. It's now Thursday, someone called and told me the driver forgot to load the shipment and all drivers now left. I asked for a manager because I'm trying to run a business with time limits, a couple of hours later I received a call again, the agent tells me that manager can't do anything, and that the manager went home already. Delivery is now postponed again to Monday (they won't even try to fix their problem and deliver on Friday)STAY AWAY

Horrible and Unreliable Company

Had a delivery (transmission) arrive at the destination facility in Lakeland, FL late Saturday night. Vendor told me 3-5 days for shipping. Contacted R&L on Monday morning and was told that it was in Lakeland, FL and would be delivered to the shop on Tuesday so relying on that information i made arrangements based on a Tuesday deliver. With no updates, I reached back out on Tuesday and was told that it was scheduled for Wednesday so it won't be delivered before then! What an unreliable company! Basically they are just sitting on it and holding it until they absolutely have to deliver it. Will be providing negative feedback to the Vendor and may even rate them lower because they utilize a shipping company with horrible customer service! with 3-5 day shipping there is no restriction on delivering it before day 5 instead of holding the product! R&L customer service is sorely lacking in reliability as much as their shipping department. Based on this experience I would never recommend a vendor utilize R&L if they are expecting satisfied customers!

claim analyst (WES BOGGS)DENIED CLAIM EVEN THOUGH EVIDENCE OF DAMAGED BOX FROM FORKLIFT WAS WELL SHOWN & DAMAGE TO $7800.00 TRANSMISSION.7 HOUR TRANSFER FROM SHOP TO THERE JANESVILLE LOCATION AND YET CLAIM WAS DENIED.THIS COMAPNY IS WELL KNOWN FOR THIS IT APPEARS SO IM TAKING TIME OUT TO WARN OTHERS TO AVOID THIS COMANY ESPECIALLY JANESVILLE WIS LOCATION WITH CLAIM ADVISOR WES BOGGS AND WAS OFFERED ,10 CENTS PER LB FOR SCRAP PRICE.

Can't even complete the jobs they accept

When they couldn't deliver my package, they called on three separate occasions to suggest that I meet the driver in a grocery store parking lot to pick up the shipment and finish their job for them which is not only absurd, but impossible. With no plans for contingencies, they just decided on their own to ship it back to the seller after telling the seller that they had figured out a solution. There is no internal or external communication and if anything doesn't go according to plan, you are out of luck. The seller is now out a sale and I've wasted 2 weeks of my life.

Bait n Switch - Lies - Deception

As a commercial customer, I will admit we have had a good experience with the local LTL team. However (a BIG however) our experience with the international team has us checking into other options for our shipping needs.We periodically order a few pallets at a time from a manufacturer in China. 2024 saw multiple orders over a short period of time. An R&L Rep asked what we were being charged for shipping, and upon hearing our cost remarked that it sounded high & we should give them a shot at quoting our next order. As I spoke to 3 or 4 of these experts, I was VERY CLEAR that our cost was door-to-door service. At every step we were reassured that everything would work out.Our main complaint over the manufacture handling the freight was how long it was taking and the lack of transparency. We were again assured full transparency with their new global tracking systems. Real time tracking of our shipment. R&L reps boasted about this system and that they were soooooo experienced in the port workings that they controlled every aspect of their containers. So much so that their containers cleared customs five days before coming into port! Amazing! No delays at port and right onto a truck. We bought the port bond. No big deal. A couple of $100 for 12 months of this magical service. Saving time & money. Let's do it!Now the reality...Delays at sea. OK, fine. Can't control the weather. Oh, wait, I can see the live freight tracking, right? Not so much. The order has yet to make it to port. Enter the first disappointing email informing us our bill is 2.5Xs the estimate. Excuse me?! Then they have the nerve to demand payment before it hits port. I think not.Order enters port. Right to a truck! Not so fast! Enter 2nd disappointment, new email letting us know that the container including our freight has been flagged for inspection. But no need to worry, because it had nothing to do with our shipment. How long will this take? Should be fast, they say, 3-5 days maybe a week. Weeks later, another email detailing we owe ADDITIONAL FUNDS for the customs stop. Now with a demand for payment of nearly $5,000. Still could not tell me when our freight would be delivered, but new it was still in California. My response? We will not think about paying until we know the shipment is in Chicago, at the very least. More time passes; our shipment appears in Chicago (mind you this amazing live tracking is a joke). After some back and forth about the accuracy of charges and location, we pay and are informed that if we do not schedule immediate delivery there would be additional charges. Are you kidding me?! This email thread was late in the week, and we were offered the following Monday or Tuesday. Great, I will rearrange everything we had scheduled to end this nightmare. Monday comes and goes (I am at my wits end). I call in to be informed that they handed the delivery off to a 3rd party. Who had to go right past us to get there & the real kicker is when I called the 3rd party I was told, "Oh, we don't deliver to your area on Mondays". I of course apologize for letting loose on this poor guy. Whom I am certain called R&L the moment we hung up. Tuesday came and so did our shipment. To be perfectly clear, we sit on a daily R&L route.Let's recap, what was supposed to be faster, cheaper and more transparent ended up 2.5x more in time and money while being as transparent as a rock in a cave. I cced every single person I had come into contact with regarding this absolute failure. How did R&L respond? We did get a call about a week or so later. We are now mid-Feb on a shipment we were scheduled to receive Dec 23rd. How did the call go? Well.....After navigating the timeline for their "Fixer", she apologizes that I would have to relive the experience from months ago. She was clueless that we had only received our goods the previous week. I was called illiterate and stupid along the way. Good Stuff, stay cool. The conclusion? That we were due substantial compensation for our troubles, and if we wouldn't mind holding off on writing this review until she called back. Today is April 15th. Time is up! We have been more that patient & now we go on blast.

Only the BEST

I deal with ltl all day every day. Can't tell you how many terrible experiences I've had with unnamed companys ...SAIA (cough cough) FRONTLINE (cough)... Sorry lil' cough there! When I pick my carriers, it's based solely on performance, and R+L gets top marks from me. ALWAYS friendly, always helpful, never had any issues with them not being on time, and they deliver what/when they say they will. Give them your business, you won't regret it.

This company is a joke

This company is a joke. I've been waiting on a package to be delivered for over 3 weeks now and as of tonight I still have not received it. I have called customer service 5 times now and got absolutely nowhere. All they tell me is the current tracking location listed online which I can see myself. No.one can give me any reason for the 3 week delay or tell me when I will be receiving my package. If you are wanting to get a package in a timely manner this is not the company to use. If it was possible to give a negative number of stars I would have done that. I will never use this company to deliver anything. It would be faster to walk your package cross country than to use R&L Carriers.

Great delivery drivers, fast service!

I had an excellent delivery by Jim and Fred in the Lebanon PA area. The delivery itself was very difficult, but they knew what they were doing and were able to deliver the product without any damage!

Please avoid this company!

Please avoid this company!! These are complaints from Real people and True events that happened to them. Don’t be a victim like us that lost money. You will NOT get paid for lost or damaged items!! This company doesn’t even deserve one star when they damage another person’s merchandise. You are not allowed to look the package over before you sign for it. And once you sign for it, you’re stuck with damaged merchandise. Your signature states in their contract you just signed for a product in good condition. At this point they could care less how much money you lost. The company covers their own ass. This company doesn’t care how many pictures you have of your damaged item. Showing proof of damage from the forks on the fork truck, and they’re the only ones that used a fork truck to move the box. A Legal attorney is looking into the incident, and R & L carrier have not reached out for a resolution.Let me remind you R & L Carrier advertises “World Class Customer Service”! This company is far from having any relationship with a customer. Please don’t be a victim like us. There’s a reason they have an 80% rating on customer complaints.

Driver was to be atpoor shipping company shop between 9am…

Driver was to be at shop between 9am and 12. At 1:45 I called R&L was told by Kelly he was running late would be here shortly. Driver never came he called at 6:45 told him he was 7 hours late called me a liar twice. He rudely asked me do you want the delivery or not!! I had to refuse because I was no longer at the shop. Next day when I reported this to the vendor they called R&L were lied to driver says I refused delivery at 2:00 all lies both driver and staff. I will never buy anything shipped by this subpar shipping company. Had to go R&L myself to pick up package that I was charged $180.00 for???

Worse drivers out there

R and L Carriers is by my route to and from work every day. I don't know where they hire their drivers from, but they are the worse drivers I have ever seen. Pull out in front of cars all the time. Drive in the left lane constantly. I would hire Swift before I ever hired R and L.

shady delivery tactics and dishonest

They called for delivery. I told them I refused the item and would not be there. they showed up several days later and honked for almost an hour in my driveway. Luckily i have a game camera with the simpletons on video. Item is torn up on outside as well.
