It comes off as phishing, but it’s legit.
I guess I’m used to putting in my CC# and 3 digit code, when ordering online. So when I had to go thru several steps to identify myself, I was taken back. But I understand the rationale: protecting my identity, but it just felt phishy, but once my transaction went through, I was relieved. Now, I know what to expect going forward.

Avoid like the plague
Slow transfers, hidden costs. They charged me much more for my purchase than advertised. There are dozens of other options out there, use anyone else. I'm obviously not the only one who thinks this either, just look at the vast majority of their reviews!Edit:Today, the 14th of January 2026, I received a response from my review. This response has come THREE AND A HALF MONTHS after reaching out to them. Well done on that customer service /s! Please, anyone wanting to purchase Bitcoin... do so with any other seller to avoid high fees and shoddy customer support!

I was able to receive crypto from them, though their ‘instant’ advertisement is misleading. It took them over two hours to send me my BTC, so just keep that in mind. In terms of legitimacy, I do think they are legit.

Exodus should partner with less scammy companies
Tried to make a purchase with US documents and a card. Exchange collected all the information: financial, personal, and biometric, just to deny at the very end. Support never replied, just sent me a letter with my own complaint back.

DONT USE SARDINE TO BUY CRYPTO EVER!!!!!
This is the 5th time sardine has held my crypto i bought through them. Every single time the price was dropping and they waited until the price went back up above my purchase price so they have to pay less for the same amount of crypto i bought. Why do they take my money if they know their liquidity pools are locked. They are not locked for a 300 dollar transaction. Sardine is frauding its customers by waiting until the price goes higher then what we pay so they have to send us less money technically. I cant believe they have the audacity to actually have a fraud department or do fraud protection. How do we get fraud protection from sardine?
