My daughter and I went on Shalom Tours. The itinerary was excellent, and Shalom was very helpful in our communications before the tour. The guide had a great personality, but unfortunately, was inconsistent with issues of lateness in returning to the bus. One time, someone was late and he expressed his concern that the man was lost and went out searching for him. Another time, people got lost and were 15 minutes late getting back to bus and he yelled at them when they returned. Perhaps he is moody. Anyway, if he would have given out his cell number, as tour guides generally do, people who are lost can call him - but he never gave his number. We returned to the airport to fly home with the bus pickup Shalom arranged. Unfortunately, it was not enough time as there were long lines and we were not told that the VAT line before security does not deal with jewelry. After waiting there, we had to go through security (long line) then go to the VAT line inside for the jewelry purchases. Just made our flight. We should have been informed of this and offered an earlier pickup. I did write to him about that from home but never got a response. It was still a wonderful experience on the whole but I think the moodiness of the tour guide and the stressful airport return made a difference.

Best trip to Israel thanks to Shalom Tours!
Now that we've been back from our family trip for two months and life has picked up where it left off. We want to thank Shalom Tours for what proved to be a perfect journey through Israel. Everything, and I do mean everything went as planned. Every part of the trip, from the private transfers to and from the airport, to seeing the important sites, to the hotel accommodations came off flawlessly. We were made to feel like VIP's throughout.The only changes happened when we wanted to do something different. In both cases Shalom was flexible and painlessly accommodated us. What was most impressive was our expecting to pay the legitimate cost to make the changes. Shalom, however, worked his magic, perhaps absorbing the costs himself and there was not a single additional fee. Of course, the absolute most important part of a trip such as this is the guide. Yehuda became part of the family. His enthusiasm, sense of humor, knowledge and really him just being himself made the trip. At the end there were four teary eyed adults having trouble saying goodbye. We all love Yudi, he made the trip special and we'll never forget him.We will remember this very important family trip forever and it is because Shalom Tours met or exceeded every expectation we had. While it's 4-5 years out we are already looking forward to working with Shalom on our next trip to Israel.Marc

We booked a 9 day trip for my family to celebrate my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. It was an incredible experience we'll never forget. Our tour guide, Daniel, was amazing. Thoroughly knowledgeable of the history and religious significance of all the places we visited. He was incredibly helpful in making sure the places we ate could accommodate my daughters' food allergies. And he was a very interesting person - fun to discuss politics, life in Israel and other topics.Shalom was very helpful all along and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. All of the details throughout the trip were taken care of so we could just focus on the incredible sites and experiences. So if you're looking to book a trip to Israel, you should use Shalom Tours if you want a very well organized, well planned, informative and interesting trip.

A revelation for history buffs
The Shalom Jewish Heritage Tour was one of the best tours I've ever done, and I've done dozens. It was beautifully organised, the guide Doron was a walking Jewish encyclopaedia, helpful and entertaining. As a non-Jewish and non-religious person, I had some misgivings but they were short-lived. The whole experience was immensely interesting and enjoyable, illuminating even to anyone unfamiliar with Jewish customs and traditions. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the history of the Middle East.

The representative has now called me mentally ill and gone on to use filthy epithets in response to my comments. As far as we're concerned, Shalom Tours is the Cadillac of the Israeli-based tours. From the moment we met our guide, Shimon, our tour was the most informative and in-depth experience that one could ever hope for. The visits to, and explanations about historic sites, as well as Shimon's incredible knowledge of ancient and Jewish traditions brought everything into light and context. One of the highlights was a spiritually inspiring visit to Hebron, where we prayed at the tombs of our patriarchs and matriarchs.The accommodations were also first class. Immediately upon arrival at Ben Gurion, we were given VIP treatment. We never waited in line (and they were plenty of lines), and we were given equal VIP treatment for our departure. Top notch from touchdown to takeoff. In sum,we saw the miracle of modern Israel with the perfect mix of spirituality, education, recreation, touring, and comfort, all thanks to Shimon. And so we say, thank you. We endorse and recommend you and Shalom Israel Tours with alacrity.

Wonderful Tour and Guide
Our guide, Aharon, was wonderful. He made the history of Israel come alive and managed to take care of the needs of the tour members. He was an excellent guide to the rich history and current situation in Israel. We did the 12 day tour and every day was great. From touring to relaxing on Shabos, the trip was magical. Shalom tours had been recommended by a friend who has taken several trips/tours to Israel and she was right about it being the best. The tour does combine other tour companies (we didn't find this a problem at all), but Shalom was the only one that had made reservations for the light show (which we thought we would pass because we were tired but others on the tour convinced us to go and we were so happy we did!) Members not booked with Shalom did not have reservations and the show was sold out that night so they did not get to go. Shalom also did other little special things (won't ruin the surprise) that made it a fabulous experience.

Thank you Shalom and of course Doron. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. We took the 12 day Jewish Heriitage Tour and can only say it was phenomenal. Everything went like clockwork and we did not want it to end. Shalom plannned out a wonderful trip and give us just enough of a taste at each stop so as to be sure not to leave out anything of major interest. There is so much to see in the holy land and fir the first time there we clearly had a beautiful time.

15 Day Jewish Heritage Tour
My daughter and I just returned from a trip to Israel, June 5-22. We were part of the Jewish Heritage Tour from 06/08/17-06/22/17. We coordinated our trip through Shalom Israel Tours after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. I can say we were not disappointed. Shalom was always swift to respond to our many emails over the months leading up to our trip except for during Shabbat (which is expected for the observant). Once Shabbat was over, he responded quickly as always. Shalom helped us coordinate our stay before and after the tour, as well as additional excursions. In addition, we requested an earlier pick up to the airport the day of our departure and he accommodated our request. We appreciated it since we were informed that the VAT line could be long. We did wait at the VAT line approximately 35 minutes and we overheard others saying that they had been in line for an hour. Some people had to leave the line to catch their flights and were not able to receive their refunds. Shalom and Aaron both informed us that we had to have not only our paperwork but the items to show for the refund. Some individuals in the line did not receive their refunds since their items were checked in their luggage. We were truly grateful for Shalom and Aaron informing us of the process. Every part of our trip was perfectly executed. We had pick up to and from the airport. Our trip going to Israel was delayed significantly and we emailed Shalom. I was somewhat concerned since we would be arriving much later than anticipated but Yossi was there to great us and assure us we were in good hands. We were. Aaron was our astounding guide. He made the trip interesting from a historical perspective, as well his viewpoint as an Israeli Jew. Aaron also provided us his cell number the day before we were heading into Jordan for our tour to Petra. Aaron said he didn’t anticipate any issues but if there was an emergency to please call him. I have never in my travels had a tour guide provide their cell number. It was comforting to know he cared about all of us. The daily schedule of the tour was full of sites to see but we wanted to view as much as possible during our stay so we didn’t mind. We did pick up people from our hotels but it did not take long as the hotels are close in proximity to each other. We enjoyed meeting people from everywhere; Canada, Australia and of course many states in the U.S. We made friends with individuals that will stay in touch and will also visit us in Austin, TX. Would I recommend and use Shalom Israel Tours again? ABSOLUTELY! Why? Everything went perfectly; from the pick up and drop off to the hotel, receiving our backpack, hats and insulated water bottle holders which we used daily, our tours, our additional excursions, Aaron our tour guide, etc. If you listen to Shalom’s advice you can’t go wrong. We will use Shalom Israel Tours when we return and will recommend to our family and friends. Shalom delivered and made our trip memorable! I finally understand why people return to Israel time and time again.

I did a 15 day tour with Shalom Israel in May. The experience was at least 50% better than I expected. Everything from pick up at the airport to dropping back at the airport was very well organised. Our guide, Aaron, was extremely knowledgeable and obviously very passionate about his country. All bar one of the hotels were excellent. As a very nice touch a box of biscuits were waiting for me at the hotel on Erev Shabbat. I would highly recommend this company and I hope I am able to return to Israel and use their services again.

Incredible Experience
My family and I visited Israel on the 12 day Jewish Heritage Tour. We had an amazing time at each location we visited. Our tour guide, Mali, made the trip even more special because of her love and knowledge of Israel. The planning was so easy because of Shalom's quick responses and his overall customer service. Everything on the scheduled itinerary was covered in a pleasant and organized way. Our guide, Mali was extremely knowledgeable in all respects. Her historical information provided us with a better understanding of the sites and the events in their past. Our tour days were physically and emotionally rewarding. Fabulous private tour of Israel with Shalom
We used Shalom Israel to book a private tour for four of us. Shalom helped us plan a fabulous itinerary, which we adjusted before and during our trip. From the moment we stepped off the plane, Shalom’s staff gave us VIP treatment. Someone met us at the gate and ushered us to the terminal and through customs, and saw us to the driver who took us to our hotel. The next day, we met our tour guide Shimon, who gave us a fascinating and informative 8-day tour of Israel from the coast to the Golan Heights to Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, and Masada. Shimon adjusted the schedule daily to our needs and interests, and made sure that we learned a lot and had fun, fun, fun. Thanks to Shalom and Shimon, we experienced the trip of a lifetime! I will call them again for my next trip.
