Brought my car and 2 months later it had a problem, I took it back to shore cars and they were very friendly & helpful! Sorted the problem for me very quickly and just genuinely all round a lovely car garage. Thankyou guys
Arthur Daley would be proud. I've always been wary of used car salesman and they're not all bad, but really feel this one is worth mentioning. Knowing my way around cars, I called about a car they had sale. He was giving the usual "This car is fantastic and we know the car well and please come and look at it, you really won't be disappointed". So a 3 round trip later, and what a Charlatan! I turned up to him saying "If there was any car I'd use to take my mother out, this car would be it". He assured us that the clutch had been replaced the previous year, but when asking for service history to prove this, that had apparently disappeared into the ether. So I got in and drove it up the road, put my foot down hard and the car felt like boeing 747 taking off. But taking foot of the throttle, smooth again. I suspected Dual Mass Flywheel, which apparently was changed the previous year. Upon arriving back, I told him the score. He then gave surprised look and went for a drive. Came back and said yes it was indeed shaking. So then proceeded to tell me it must be a prop shaft bearing and it would indeed need fixing. However, I had to remind him it was a front wheel drive car. A wasted 3 hour trip for a broken car.
