Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs. Their customer service is nonexistent. The product interface feels like a 1980s cable box. And the quality of video is mediocre. They take your money, but refuse to help. You wait for customer service and then they just give you prewritten responses over and over again. 8 years of being a customer and the one time I need their help I get nothing. The Execs hide their emails which should be the first sign they are not a good company.

Had to change credit cards and my account was cancelled. Upon trying to restart this, it wouldn't let me sign it and just keeps asking for a renewal. Customer is THE WORST EVER! The chatbox is ridiculous. It finally had a person call me ... someone from India who I could hardly understand and was rushed and rude. FCC should investigate.

SLING TV Ripoff

The. Company misrepresented the services they provided. Upon cancellation of service they refused to provide a refund even though I told them I was not getting what they advertised.

We tried to get one day pass to watch…

We tried to get one day pass to watch US Open women's finals, but could not get it to work. Called JUSTANSWER technical support who could not help and tried to sell us support for $48 and also billed us $5 for support even though tech could not help!

I had it for less than 1 day

I had it for less than 1 day. They would not refund my money when I found they were not honoring the coupon link which I used to sign up. Because I watched 1 show. I had to follow up with PayPal to resolve this dispute. Garbage company with no customer service reps empowered to fix any issues.

Been with sling for years tried to pause The account didn’t take,they add on another month. Started out $15 a month years ago now they’ve gotten ridiculous just like cable definitely not worth it anymore.

Error code 11-6 This is the reason I canceled my subscription. You can't talk to anyone about the problem. All you can do is chat with a damn robot which is useless.

Besides the bad streaming service and price increases, other people are right about cancelling and deleting payment information. they are shady.

marketing trickery

What a perfect example of all hat and no cattle. I am tired of marketing tricks. They promote the product promising easy cancellation and easy navigation. Neither one is the case, Worse, the BOT that handles any questions is programmed for limited questions and limited answers. You can't talk communicate with anyone.

deceptive ad - dont fall for promo

So, Sling ad mentioned prepay and get sling for $90 for 3 months, went to sign up to find out they charged me $105 + tax instead, now they wont refund.

Useless and frustrating. It keeps looping live live tv over and over and over. Junk. Than don't want to prorate a refund and this is Junk Junk

Useless Customer Service

My concern: I called in about 2 weeks ago with an issue of being able to download apps. My concern would have to go up to the next level of service. I was told I could expect to hear from a Sling rep with in 24 to 48 hours. It has been about 2 weeks now and i have not heard from anyone.Sling Response: The timeliness of resolution and communication depends on what the issue is and the resolution needed, so we cannot guarantee a time or communication methodMy Reply: why has no one contacted me with an update?Sling Response: They ended the chat

No refunds ever-- even if fraud. No supervisor or escalation if you have trouble with customer service.

Never had an account with them or used their service, yet somehow they got our account number and took out $420 over several months. We use that account for saving for property taxes so we don't monitor it. We were unable to get any refund. We filed a dispute with them on the charges and they admitted that we had never used the service and didn't have an account. On the same day (April 2, 2024) we got an email back saying they would not refund any of it. We were unable to get a supervisor or any explanation except that they do not do refunds since it is a prepaid service. I called Dish Network who owns them and had the same experience. I would not recommend these companies.

I had the most appalling experience…

I had the most appalling experience with Sling TV. They charged my credit card on March 26 for $40, followed by another unauthorized charge of $13.06 on March 30th, only to abruptly cancel my account without my consent on April 1st. Despite numerous attempts to rectify the situation by contacting customer service, I was met with utter disregard and disrespect. Sally, one of their representatives, found my plight amusing and callously brushed off my concerns, insisting that there was nothing they could do. When pressed for an explanation regarding the unjust charges, I was met with nothing but empty promises to "issue a ticket" and resolve the issue, which never materialized. It's beyond comprehension how a company can brazenly snatch money from customers and then deny them the very service they paid for. Avoid Sling TV at all costs unless you enjoy being swindled and mistreated. Zero stars for this deceitful operation.

Double-check if you cancel cause their support will not refund inadvertent renewals under any circumstances

I thought I had canceled but must have missed a step in their nagging UI for cancelation after switching to another service due to poor channel selection. Their support refuses to refund a service that renewed a few days ago that I haven't logged into in that time. They must really need the money to provide such awful anti-customer service.

I have used them in the past and had a good experience, but tried to sign up again to watch NFL...yup Fox, NBC and CBS are not included in the streaming for my area. We have moved since the last sign up.

Fool me twice, shame on me.

Spent almost an hour trying to resubscribe so I could watch the Celtics game, both directly on my TV and on my laptop. It didn't take long to remember why I cancelled before, but I kept trying. I never got in. It kept giving me different reasons but basically just never let me in. Don't even think about it.

Sling was OK until the last few months…

Sling was OK until the last few months when they started running commercials over the top of shows recorded on the DVR! There is no way to see the recorded over portion by rewinding etc. You can fast forward through commercials on some shows but not others. 5 minutes of commercials is too much! They better fix this pretty fast because I can get cable for just a few dollars more now! OH, and commercials over Live TV was an issue in Dec 22. Google it!

WHY does the sport I am watching cut off before the end?

EVERY time I go to watch a sports show -- just now it was the EFL match between Burnley and Watford -- the show just cuts off before it is done. BEFORE THE GAME IS OVER!!! Day before yesterday it was the SuperBowl!I am so tired of garbage TV, and becoming more and more sad that I moved to a town where I'm stuck with the likes of Sling TV.

Sling could be better.......

I've been a Sling TV user for many years, 6 at least. I've been generally happy until the recent new version rolled out for the Firestick a couple of months ago. They've changed a few things including the way you see channels. Now all you get is a grid design and not listing by channels, bad design. They also removed thousands of hours of On-Demand content.I was grandfathered on my rate but that's now ending this month. So, I've had the content reduced and I'm going to pay more for it.Still some glitches in the new version for Firestick but somewhat better than when first rolled out.
